I did okay because I was worried about my grades, but I wasn't concerned with my future. Success just wasn't in the charts for me, until 7th grade. My English teacher took me aside and told me how much potential I really had and that it didn't matter how many people doubted students like me, as long as we believe in ourselves. Mrs. Cox was the first teacher to take the time and tell me I could do something great.
