<title>Erasmus+ Application FORM Call: 2018 KA2 PIC: 941680948 Project partners: Schools: Poland - coordinator. Lithuania, Bulgaria , Romania, Turkey. Information on the Project “We will drum for the remembrance of independence” The project is multi-faceted and multi-layered, referring to the historical events of the turn of the 19th and 20th century. It is associated with a pursuit of self-determination and freedom of a large part of European nations and countries of that time. The binder, that connects all of these events is the fact that the World War I ended in 1918. Subsequent anniversaries of this event are celebrated in most of European states. This date has simultaneously a link to histories of some of the countries, that by virtue of local events, and then, international treaties have joined the European family as free and independent countries. States, that fit into this pattern include: Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Turkey. Hence our project partners would be schools from countries listed above. The aim of the project is to compare currently functioning ways of teaching history of this period, which should result in a deep reflection, that would in turn lead to a change in perception of our European history as a value, that is to be respected, and cared as the common weal of all of the citizens of our continent. A century after the events important to each of the countries listed above, we are aware that the way the new generations see them has changed. Their perception is completely unlike the generation’s that is creating the new European order. In order to understand this complicated past, we are going to use newest trends of civilization, culture, technology, art and others, that are accepted by the generation of current 11 to 15-year-olds, who are students of our partner schools. The goals are to be fulfilled in an unconventional way, with using of various different techniques of artistic self-expression, mainly hip-hop and other, related ones. A desirable tool that would help in realization of the aims are percussion instruments used on an amateur level by school drumming clubs. “Drumming for independence” will be one of many coordinated elements of the project. The synergy of different parts will allow for a swift and proper completion of the plan.Realization of the project will be a great opportunity for the teachers to obtain new skills and qualifications of teaching history in a different, innovative ways, and, above all, an attempt to create other methods of passing knowledge of history between partner schools. We invite schools from countries listed above to present an offer.
