This year the indigenous communities of the Brazilian Amazon protested in the streets of Sao Paolo agaisnt legislation which would dilute conservation and indigenous autonomy over parts of the Amazon. They hope the pressure will lead to the Brazilian President vetoing the legislation. In a recent podcast, Tim Berners Lee, considered the 'father' of the internet, makes the point that it much easier now for anyone to create and publish a website, using tools availbale online. In the early days of the internet it was necessary to have coding skills to build a website in order to create one, a possibility open to only a few.
