Mam a very interesting question that made us introspect whether we are in the right direction or not. However, these are some of the things that I'm doing with my kid at home-
1. We are spending quality time with him by telling him stories, talking to him, making him study, playing games etc.

2. We make it a point that he is not hooked to phone or TV or any other such gadget. Instead,We've got him picture books, colour books, story books and practice books which he keeps himself busy with.

3. We make sure of his good hygiene as make him wash hands after every half n hour.

4. I've observed that people are having a gala time these days in the sense that lot of cheese, butter, sauces, fried etc are being consumed. But we make sure to feed him more of healthy food and a bit of all this for taste.

5. We involve him in daily chores as to cleaning the bed, stacking his books or toys, planting trees and we make it a point to appreciate him everytime so that he feels confident and motivated.

6. We let him spend time with grandparents and keep a connect with other family members through video calls.

7. Last but not the least and the most important is that everyday we make him do Puja and chant Aartis and Mantras. We teach him to seek blessings of God and thank him for all his blessings.

Mother of Audvik Roy

Sapna & Karn Pratap Singh
As the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic has barred children below 10 years from outdoor activities, we ensured that Bhoomi's stay at home is utilised to the maximum, although it isn't easy for us to make her understand the reasons for the restrictions. To make Bhoomi feel safe and secure, we regularly tell her about the Do's and Don'ts through interesting stories and simultaneously engaged her in various activities such as how to use a mask, clean hands, sanitise herself and her belongings, etc. Moreover, we have also prepared her daily routine calender and encourage her to follow it religiously. Some important and interesting activities the calender includes are:
**Waking up early and do her work on her own. It includes brushing her teeth, taking a bath, wearing clothes, doing yoga and eating.
(Aspiring to be self-dependent as Modi ji wants all of us to be "आत्मनिर्भर" 😊😋🤷🤘)
**Morning and evening prayers 🙏🙏🕉️✡️
**Drawing and colouring 👩‍🎨👩‍🎨🎨
**Helping us in household activities 👩‍🍳👨‍👩‍👧
**Awareness about our nation and it's uniqueness🇮🇳🇮🇳
**Lessons on various topics, including good and bad touch, all through story-telling👎👍✔️❎♻️
**Encouragement for watching infotainment channels like Discovery, Animal Planet, etc, to increase her love for nature. 🌍🌐🌅🏭🕷️🌲🌹
**And last but not the least, completing all her study work and homework in a time bound manner...✍️✏️📖📕🕒

Thanks
Parents of Bhoomi Singh

It has been of great significance teaching children about the pros and cons of the current scenario. Making them realise how nature has started healing after we humans were locked inside our houses. How pollution has been controlled, how there has been drastic improvement in the air quality, how freedom and fresh air matters to all living things. They are able to see and realize the importance of familial bonds.

School closures, working remotely, physical distancing- it's a lot to navigate for parents as well teachers.
1.We have made Mehar understand the current situation and precautions to be taken during this difficult time. As i have a four month baby it was very difficult immediate after my delivery to adjust with work and family, but Mehar has helped in all the ways - she helps me in massaging the baby, making him bath and even at times take care of him while i am finishing the household chores by singing rhymes and playing with him.
2.I make her sit with her father and make them race to see who finishes the given work first. This way she does her studies with her dad.
3. She also loves painting and colouring
4. She has developed special interests for cooking - at various times she has helped me in setting the dinning table, serving everyone at home. She has learnt various recipes from Youtube out of which CAKE is her favourite one.
5. In the evening she does gurbani paath with me and has learnt various shabad.

I make sure that i spend quality time with her.
Parent of Mehar Sharma

The spread of the Covid-19 pandemic forced us to remain indoors and spent the entire day at home due to lockdown. This routine was new for working professionals and school going children. The most challenging part was how to spend quality time with family during the lockdown. Unfortunately, it was became more difficult because my mother went home just before lockdown. Initially, I faced problems but I managed it. More so, I was afraid how I would handle the situation if lockdown existed long. Thank god, school management started virtual class. Then teachers made it easier. This decision changed the situations in two different way. First, children and parents were engaged in either class or activities thereof. Second, parents have now so many ideas. That were/are using for spending time during pandemic situation and children are also happy and doing works like..yoga, craft activity, gardening, play some indoor games, also some outdoor games on roof, helping in household works etc.,. This also have an opportunity that I am enhancing knowledge of history, families values to children. Further, I also worked on that weaker areas of children in which I felt that improvements are required.
Father of
Master Atharva Singh
