An 11-step Charter for Change includes immediate actions to achieve this, plus action for long-term human and planetary wellbeing. 

The first action point is to embrace gender-balanced, inclusive governance. 

Women’s Climate Congress believes women’s leadership style is required to shift the current ‘deadlock’ in our political system. We need more compassion, inclusion and collaboration in order to affect the cultural change, conversations and ultimately decision-making on a whole of system approach to effective climate action.

Women’s Climate Congress is a national network of women. It was wonderful to be invited to meet so many good people at the recent Gold Coast Climate Action Network gathering of local community groups.

Friends of Parks Queensland is a new umbrella organisation to support individual "Friends of Parks" groups that do on-ground conservation works in our most biodiverse areas: national parks and conservation parks.

We are on a mission to amplify the impact existing groups are having on the environment while supporting new groups to form. We work in partnership with QPWS and Traditional Owners.

Climate change is a huge threat to biodiversity, one we are already seeing the effects of. We want to ensure our protected areas are "climate-ready" as best we possibly can by addressing some of the barriers to adaptation.
