My class enjoys making slide shows and videos

with Animoto. You can insert pictures, add text and

select music. 30 second videos are free. (Pay for longer

videos.) Students have done PSAs and I showed

their Fall Haikus on one Animoto slide show.

We have been immersed in Popplet and are using this tool in various ways. Response to reading and Organizing writing, Creating Mealworm life cycles and Noun Maps ... to name a few! The students enjoyed learning how to take and insert pictures into their Popplet!

I had never used Padlet but after this

post I decided to try it with my students. We had been studying text features of informational text so I posted a focus question on a padlet, checked out a laptop cart and the kids responded to the question on laptops. The AHA moment for me was that kids could SEE each other's responses as they were being written. One student said, "Hey, Mrs. B, I can SEE someone's answer and not just hear it"….. The students can now sort the responses and form groups to discuss each other's ideas.

Our students are excited to share their math thinking using Explain Everything
