I learned that graphic design is a lot of fun, but it can be extremely time consuming. I enjoyed creating a replica of Cipe’s artwork because it was cool to compare how a beginner graphic designer’s work compares to a professionals. Her artwork was inspirational to women all around the world, myself included. Overall I would say graphic design is exactly what I thought it would be: difficult but worth it in the end.

Pattern Making

Learning the shortcut tool was pretty easy for me. Once I got a hang of it, it wasn't too hard to do this project. I'd say my biggest challenge was making all the letters fit into each other. They still don't look perfect, but I think they turned out pretty cool regardless.

Donut Design

I enjoyed this project for the most part. It was cool to learn how to use drop shadow and use gradients. I'm fairly pleased with the results of most of my donuts. My favorite was the Valentine's Donut, and my least favorite was the Storm Donut because the clouds don't look quite right.

Logo Parody

This project wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't my favorite. I had a hard time getting my logos to match up, and some of them felt kind of rushed. My favorite logo parody I did was probably the Ford logo because I thought it was funny. Overall this project was okay.

Logo Initials

I liked this project a lot. My favorite logo I made was the graffiti logo. This one was the best because it matched the theme the most with the color theme, font, and overall design. This project was cool because you got to be creative with it. Overall this was probably my favorite assignment we've done so far.

Flyer

In my opinion, the best out of the 2 is the second flyer. I believe it's both eye-catching and gets all of the information across. It also displays the theme of the club with the paint splatters which I thought was really cute. I believe this is a good flyer to have around the school to promote the art club.

Zombiewood

This was probably the hardest project I've done so far. I struggled with trying to learn new things and use the tools to my advantage. I can't say I'm happy with the end results, but I did try my best. This project may have been difficult, but I had fun with it nonetheless.

I learned that working for a real client can be slightly difficult. You have to be sure that your piece matches the client's requirements. However, once you are given that information, the rest is pretty easy. I liked being able to be given this opportunity.

Food Truck Logo

This project went well for me. I learned more about adding drop shadows to objects and using overlays to help me paint. My group chose my logo as the best for this project which gave me a boost of confidence.

Food Truck Design

I learned more about the paint bucket tool and painting over templates. I also learned how to layout a design and use it to the best of my abilities. This portion of the food truck project was time consuming, but it was worth it in the end.

Food Truck Menu

I learned about how creating an attractive menu works. Using the color schemes and logo as a reference, this project was fairly simple for me. I enjoyed being able to come up with a fun menu that was ultimately eye catching and fitting for the truck.

DIY Photoshop Week

I am very fond of DIY weeks, so I enjoyed being able to do this very much. However, the YouTube tutorial was a bit tricky to follow at times. I was very satisfied with the end results, though. I learned using more PhotoShop tools and how to use them to my advantage.

Reflection

This was one of my favorite classes out of Semester 1 of my junior year in high school. I learned all about Photoshop and the majority of its basic tools. My goal in the future is to become a professional graphic designer, so this class was a wonderful first idea of what being a graphic designer means. My favorite project out of all of our assignments this year was creating flyers for Art Club because I was very proud of my results. I look forward to another semester of Graphic Design.

This project was pretty fun to do. It was hard to get the faces to match up though. However, that was probably my only complaint.

This project was fun, but it was a little difficult at times. I was good at getting the dimensions and format correct, but finding a similar font was really hard.
