It is a fun and engaging way for my students to learn a new concept or review one that was previously taught!&nbsp;I have found great success in using songs to learn letter names, sight words and number patterns. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As a special education teacher, I work closely with many general education teachers as all of my students are currently in an integrated classroom setting. We are sure to collaborate on teaching points and student progress frequently. It is also important for us to have consistent vocabulary so that our students are hearing the same phrases or terms repeatedly. Consistency is key! Below is a picture of our letter formation. We are sure to use the same sayings and formation patterns when teaching students how to write letters. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In each of my reading lessons, there is time built in for re-reading past books. We read the same book two days in a row and then my students are allowed to take a copy home to share with their parents, grandparents, or even a stuffed animal! The repetition of the same book allows for the words or concepts within the book to be committed to memory. It also aids in comprehension!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Review rings are one of the strategies that I use in my classroom to assist students with recall of information. It is a quick and easy way for them to monitor their own progress as well. Each student will have 2 rings, one with the letters or sounds their know and one with the letters/sounds that still need to be practiced. My students have learned how to flip through the rings quickly at the beginning or end of each lesson. I have also used review rings for math facts and sight words!</div>]]></description>

         <title>Daily Sight Word Practice- Snap Word Passwords</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This year, I started a new strategy that is used daily to assist my students in developing their sight word vocabulary. I chose a sight word that is individualized for each student that they have been practicing from their own list of words. We review the word each day and if they identify the word correctly within 3 seconds, they unlock it and earn a new word. It has been highly motivating and the constant repetition assist them in committing the words to memory. </div>]]></description>
