The scene takes place just before the Titans get on the bus en route to their training camp, Gettysburg College. The technique used in the scene is a combination of an over the shoulder/long shot, it is taken through the large crowd surrounding Coach Boone, Gerry and Ray, this means the person taking the shot is one of the white individuals. The shot also focuses the audience's attention on one character and helps us see his expressions, as according to the scene, Boone is seeming to speak to Gerry and Ray in a taunting matter. It also shows the setting's scene in the background, which is the bus which they are about to board. The shot emphasizes the fact about the ongoing conflict and separation between the black and white people, as it shows African American Coach Boone standing isolated between white people providing support to Gerry and Ray.

The film used here is an over the shoulder, long shot. The long shot shows the people around Coach Boone and the boys. These technique is put to good use in this scene, highlighting the racial issues and segregation between the white and black community.

Sean
The scene takes place before the football players of T.C. William High School go to a training camp in Gettysburg College. The film technique used in the shot is the over the shoulder shot. Over the shoulder shots are used to show the people and the environment surrounding them. In the shot, we see that Coach Boone is very distant from the camera while the white people are closer to the camera. The over the shoulder shot is used in this scene to show that the whites and the blacks did not get along very well at the time.

This over the shoulder - long shot technique highlights the racial conflict at the time. The fact that Coach Boone is isolated and Gerry is surrounded by the white players and parents hints at the tension between the white and black communities. Boone is surrounded my many white parents and no black parents which gives you the idea that the people of this town are segregated.

The type of technique that is in this scene is an over the shoulder shot. This technique is used to show the racial conflict between the two races. Since Coach Boone and Coach Yoast were standing away from a distance this shows that segregation was at the time. This shot supports the scene because it shows the division of the white and black people.

The technique used for this shot is over the shoulder shot and long shot to show the racial difference between them. The fact that the crowd distanced themselves from Coach Boone shows that he has no support.

This scene takes place at the bus stop before the players head off for camp at Gettysburg College. The technique used in this scene is over the shoulder shot which shows the audience the racial conflict between both races. This helps focus the audiences attention on one character. The fact both Coach Boone and Gerry were left standing alone shows how distant both races were and the way it was portrayed that it was white parents against Coach Boone which may have resulted in him feeling isolated and having his authority tested. The over the shoulder shot supports the scene in many ways because it emphasizes the separation between both black and white people

Rajeena-This scene takes place before the Titans are getting on the bus to go to football camp. The film techniques used are an over the shoulder shot and a long shot. They are used to show the conflict between Coach Boone with Gerry from the crowd's perspective. The over the shoulder shot is framed in a way that we can see that the majority of the crowd consists of white parents and there are little to no black parents present despite the fact that they do live in the neighborhood. Also, the white people are standing in a way that they appear to be on Gerry's side, while Coach Boone appears alone without support. This shows us the affects of the racial segregation and separation which was in the community before. Although they are now integrating, we can see that there is still racial tension between the black and white people.

The shot was a long shot showing the two characters having a conversation while also showing the rest of the cast get on the bus. The long shot is suppose to show the place where the scene takes place. Also the shot can also be called "over the shoulder shot" because the shot was taken over a persons shoulder who is from the crowd showing the families and friends of the the players.

The film technique being used in the scene is called a long shot and also can be a over-the-shoulder shot. Both shot showed the amount of people that had turned up and the discussion Boone is having with the white team's captain Gary. Though we are left to wonder, where are the black parents. this could mean many things, but I saw it as a threat to Boone's position as the white people surround Boone. Though the white parents were not hostile this is a visual representation of the hostility of the white people against having a black coach

This scene takes place when the football team named the Titans from T.C Williams high school was about to get onto a bus going to Gettysburg College for their training boot camp. In this scene it uses a long and over the shoulder shot. They used the long shot to show that the blacks and the whites are separated and distanced from each other. This tells us that racism was occurring during that time in the scene. They also the over the shoulder shot at the same time with the long shot because it shows us a perspective from being in the crowd of people and parents of their children.

This scene takes place at T.C Williams high-school just before the football players go off on a training camp to Gettysburg College. The film techniques that have been used are long shot and over-the-shoulder shot. The long shot is used in this scene to show the surrounding people, environment and to get the whole scene that is unfolding in the shot. The over-the-shoulder shot is really effective. It shows that the people who's heads are facing the camera are important, but Coach Boone and Gerry are the main focus in this scene. While Coach Boone is putting Gerry (a white football player) in his place, you can see that Gerry has lost his confidence and is embarrassed. One way we can tell is the way he is standing (body language). This shot emphasizes the conflict between black and the white people. The blacks are heavily outnumbered by the whites and this shows that the two races barely if not never mix. African American Coach Boone is left with no support whatsoever from his fellow (white) assistant coach's. Coach Yoast and the other coach's acted as if the most bizarre situation was taking place. These are some of the things I picked up from the image.
