This was a love and passion of mine and, now, I realize how much that part of my life has effected me. I was taught to take care of things that matter to me and even things that don't. I found an appreciation for this life surrounding agriculture and livestock but my parents were not big supporters of this. You see, my grandparents were the ones who taught me this lifestyle. They helped lead me through college and guided my ideas for career routes. The thing is, nothing really stuck with me. I'm a senior in college and I have no idea what career path I want to take. Until- an add for a farm school popped up on my phone, one day. The University of Arkansas created a program for people to learn how to be farmers and create business plans for this kind of life. I applied. 
Before I had applied, I took a tour and asked so many questions. What I realized was that I found a way to get my life back to my old passion. 
My parents disagree but, hey, I expected that. It feels odd not having their support in something but I can't deny the dreams that have since popped into my head since I have found out about this program. I am going to put myself through this program and (hopefully) build my foundation in this new field of work. I know nothing about farming but have every desire to learn. I have never felt this way about any degree or job before.
