This photograph fulfills the concept of “sense of place” by representing a dog. A dog can also be the sense of place for many people representing a companion and a protection to person. In this case this dog being taken out to the beach, is like taking a little piece of home with you.

The reason why this photograph adds to Spence of place is because of the room. For me sense of place used to be a place like my bedroom. This room is like my very first bed room my first place that i felt i belonged. THis photograph in particular adds to my definition of sense of place. This reason is because it reminds me of how downtown Brownsville looks like and when i was younger i spent labor of time there with my mom and grandma. I would get stories from my mom working there when she was younger.
