My First Semester Journey
-Starting this semester, I was extremely intimidated by Senior Highschool and was nervous that I would not be able to do as well in Highschool as I did in Elementary. I figured that the work would be much more difficult and that the teachers would not be as involved as they were in high school, which was true; but after the first month or so, I began to really apply myself to my classes and now I feel like I have definitely adjusted. Even though the whole “first semester” experience was not always easy or pleasant, My first semester has been an intersting learning experience. It has been full of ups and downs. At first I didn't really see the point in it, I felt as if I knew everything. After being in this class this semester it has taught me so much about senior highschool and answered so many questions I didn't know.

I’ve learned a lot since being in Highschool, mostly how to take charge of my life and get my priorities straight depends on how you prioritize your work and how serious you take it. At first my priorities weren't where they were supposed to be, and I realized my grades were going to suffer if I did not change. A big part of Senior Highschool is maturing and getting your priorities straight, and that’s one big thing I’ve learned so far. Senior Highschool really makes you grow up fast because you are on your own.

As of recently, I’ve been putting all of my deadlines and important dates regarding my classes into my notes in my cellphone so that I can organize my time better. I’ve also been trying to set more time aside for studying instead of just playing online games in the late night before Studying has always been especially difficult for me because I get distracted so easily, Also, I am trying to organize my notes differently and I no longer throw out anything that I receive during class. During high school, I always “misplaced” or just threw out old tests or old homework assignments, but now I realize how keeping everything is so helpful to my studying. I'm very thankful to have taken this class which took a lot of stress off my first semester. My goals for the semester are to not get into the same habbits of waking up late as I did the first in Highschool and Elementary.
