One of the things that I noticed the most from her interview was that open communication and working together is very important to use collaboration, co-teaching, and consultation correctly. Additionally, she stressed the importance of being able to work well with others as these topics in the education system are something that we are all going to have to use. Lastly, one of her most stressed points was that there must be trust between all parties. She believed that flexibility is a key in collaboration and the way for all parties to see success. Another common theme in her interview was that collaboration, co-teaching, and consultation was the ability to learn from others. She believed that this was one of the biggest strengths of collaboration.

Circle communication is a form of group exchange that helps to build relationships. Many of their survey questions stressed the importance of group/grade level meetings that happen weekly. At these meetings they talk about what is working in their classrooms and what is not. However, the administrator had little to say about circle communication.

Where as the teachers were more comfortable with co-teaching the administrator was more comfortable and frequently used consultation. However, collaboration is something that she used in her profession often. In many cases, she is collaborating with the teachers who then collaborate amongst themselves. In the case of the administrator this was from them to their teachers who then used the information. Likewise, the teachers used the wheel when one of them had information on the curriculum and needed to pas it along to their colleagues.
