Effect: The effect of Nixon's resignation was that Gerald Ford became the president. Cause: The cause of the fall of the Berlin Wall was due to political reforms that had been happening amongst the citizens of Berlin. The citizens of both East Berlin and West Berlin were putting in efforts to try and destroy the wall that was preventing them from freedom.
