         <description><![CDATA[<div>As a slave ,Douglass was not granted much food for the month, as he and the other slaves were given little to eat each month, with many slaves starving as they worked in the fields. They also received little amount of clothing as they were only granted a a couple of pair of clothes each year, with children typically being seen naked on the plantations. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Douglass explains how slavery should have been slowly dying out as there are an increasing amount of half black and white hybrids, but instead there was still a strong amount of people supporting it as they used the bible to support they're reasoning, as in the bible God cursed Ham and his descendants, but Douglass then explains how Maltose are not lineal descendants of Ham as they are half white.</div>]]></description>
