What Ecosystems are (Part 1)

Ecosystems are biotic and abotic creatures (living and non-living things) that create a environment.
Living things like scorpions live in the sand habitat, where its cool underground. That also describes how a Non-living thing, the sand can help Living things survive. There are much more Ecosystems, This is just one of them. There are also Producers, consumers, and Decomposers. Producers are normally Plants who make food. Then The consumers, which are normally animals will eat the Food, Then The decomposers. Decomposers
are normally fungi and bacteria that break down the waste. This is one part of the ecosystem an how it works. Another part of a ecosystem is the food chain. A food chain is where a series of organisms eat each other to survive. The chain starts at producers, where plants make their own food using the sun. Then after that The consumers eat the producers, their are also three levels of consumers. The first one is the herbivores, which eat the plants like I said earlier. The next level is carnivores, where they eat herbivores because carnivores eat meat and herbivores are made out of meat. Then the last level of the consumers is the carnivores who eat other carnivores. The second level carnivores are the only food they depend on. Then, at the last part of the food chain. The decomposers eliminate waste from dead plants so they can reuse the energy to put into other plants. That how the food chain works on the ecosystem.

Also, food chains are actually just a part of bigger thing called a food web. A food web is multiple food chains mixed together in a picture to show the food webs complexly. Food web are a huge part of the ecosystem, and the consequences would be horrible if you ruined the ecosystem. If you make a species extinct like you killed all the flies in a ecosystem, the animals who depended on flies for food would go hungry and starve to death. And the animals who depended on those animals would die too.
So basically the entire ecosystem would die out.
There is also a thing called interdependence. It's a relationship with non biotic and biotic livings. They use each other for survival.
Also if you want to know where plants get their energy, there is a process called photosynthesis.
Its where plants take the energy from the sun and make it into a sugar called glucose. Glucose is the nutrition for plants and helps them grow. If you want to know how plants take the energy from the sun, they use a tiny thing in their leaves called chlorophyll. Chlorophyll traps the suns energy and makes it chemical energy. Then the chemical energy makes hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and then the hydrogen and carbon dioxide create glucose.

The water cycle is a cycle that plays a very important role in our world. There are three names for the parts of this water cycle. The first one is Evaporation. Evaporation is the process where molecules from the water get sucked up into the air and are put in a cloud. The next part is called Condensation. This is the process where while the cloud is moving, the molecules get transformed into raindrops.
Then the last part, which is called Precipitation. This is the process where the raindrops get released and soak into the ground. This helps water plants and tree and other stuff we need. After that the water travels back to the ocean in the soil and the entire water cycle repeats. Thats how the water cycle works in the Ecosystem. There is also one more thing called the carbon cycle. Carbon dioxide is the fourth most common element in the universe. Everything contains a little carbon dioxide, But too much of it can be a problem. Because of human activities, much more carbon dioxide has entered the air which makes air pollution. Air pollution could have devastating effects on the world. Humans can restore the balance by planting trees and not burning down any more forests, and that the carbon cycle in the ecosystems.
