-worked on planning a listening activity, 

-discussed authentic materials’ importance

-developed some improving activities for the students having different levels in the same class,

-gave instructions and make it clear for students. 

I think it was a very productive day. I really appreciate adopting activities, monitoring each other and giving feedback to contribute our colleagues’ development. 

To me, ‘motivation’ and ‘curiosity’ are the keys that open learning doors. 

I personally liked all of the examples but “Memory Quiz” was my favourite. Because learning about others life makes the students more motivated and they want to ask questions. Also they should listen to their friends carefully to remember the answers. It also makes students respectful for the others participation. I’m going to use it in my classes and also in my PDC as a facilitator. 

I really like to use authentic materials so I learned a wonderful site which helps us, our colleagues and students to improve understanding and pronunciation 👇🏼

Today we studied about teaching speaking and problems about speaking in language classes. And some activities that can be helpful for overcoming the problems. 

I think the most common problem in teaching English -especially speaking- teachers’ lack of speaking skills. Besides we have so crowded classes that it can’t be possible to implement constructive activities all the time. 

I think we can cope with that speaking barriers to some extent. We can make much more speaking activities and try to improve ourselves speaking skills. Today we have done presentations and expressed our ideas to our colleagues, then we had feedbacks from them. It was very useful for us. 

Also students don’t want to participate in speaking activities for many other reasons. For example they can be shy, they may not have self confidence or their friends may criticise them. 

For this problem we learned lots of activities such as recording a video on ‘Flip’ or other apps/web sites like ‘Chatter Pix’

They can be very useful for shy students who can’t speak in front of crowd. If we can adopt and apply activities, language classes will speak more I’m sure 😊

I think the most useful part is that we use facilitator guide as the reading passage. We have tasks like matching headings and answering questions by using facilitator guide. By the way we can learn what is written about English Together Project and PDC.

It means we finished our reading tasks and learnt much more things about PDC processes. 

We can choose interesting, useful contents for reading texts in our PDCs so that after finishing the tasks our colleagues will realise how much they learned about the content ☺️

It’s also short letters and easy to write. Agony aunt is supposed to reply to the letters, so it becomes a kind of communication way as well. 

If this written communication is on the digital platform, it will be more up-to-date.

Agony aunt letters can be also used in our PDCs because adults may like the idea to write under a nickname. They will join our PDCs and realise that thet are supposed to find solutions to possible problems in their language classes together. If they feel shy to talk about kind of problems. As soon as they have the chance to try it in our PDCs, they will like and use it later on 🤗

According to me in our PDCs my colleagues will like CCQ. We can be sure about implicit concept of grammar points by CCQ. Then they can make further activities easily after the students can catch the point.  If we want to move on, we should be sure about firs steps are right 😌

I’m planning to keep in touch with my network to share ideas end experiences during our PDC process. If I have any unclear issues about PDC meeting, I’m sure the people, who is doing the same meeting like me, will help me to make my mind clear

We had great opportunities as taking part in PDC sessions. In sessions we have been given many ideas and be shown lots of examples about planning and conducting our own PDC sessions in our local area. Thanks a lot 😌
