When you meet a new classmate, it is important to know what things you should do or not do to make a good first impression. First, show confidence when you talk to your classmate, for example, by speaking loud and clear so that he can understand you in the best way. Making eye contact with this person will also show that you are paying attention to them and they will feel comfortable. It also helps you to show that you a polite person, avoid doing the following things. For example: avoid being negative, don't disagree when he mentions something and avoid making jokes, he is a new person and you don't know if he likes jokes, he could also get a wrong impression of you. If you do some of the things listed above and avoid some of the bad behaviors with your new classmate, you will make a good first impression.

Rice with chicken is one of the traditional foods of Costa Rica, It is delicious and is very used by Costa Rican families. It is made of primarily of rice, shred chicken, diced carrots, pea, but you can also add vegetables like sweet corn to give more flavor to your favorite food.To cook rice with chicken, you need to boil the chicken with some the onion, garlic, cilantro and a pinch of salt. Separately, cook the rice and when the chicken is ready, shred chicken and fry it with onion, garlic, cilantro, celery, chives, sweet chili, all finely chopped, add, sauces to taste, salt and pepper, then add the other ingredients and let them cook a little and then add these ingredients little by little to the rice mixing little by little. At the end, you can serve it with green salad or French fries. Rice with chicken makes me feel happy when I eat it because it reminds me of all the moments I shared with my family, It's delicious and makes me feel at home. Rice with chicken  is my favorite food because it is made with a lot of love. and with delicious ingredients that make me feel very happy when I eat it.

The global warming is the increase in the earth's temperature, which is mainly reflected in the oceans and the atmosphere. This increase in temperature is produced mainly by human activities that emit many greenhouse gases, such as: deforestation of forests, industries, changes that occur in the soil due to agricultural or livestock activities. It is for this reason that the consequences of global warming can be seen represented mainly in the melting of glaciers, decrease in snow cover, causing sea level rise and floods, there are also meteorological conditions that can be extreme such as hurricanes, prolonged droughts, very high heat waves. All this affects both the human being and nature because in the human being it has health problems and a decrease in the natural resources it needs to live, nature also suffers because the forests dry up and the plants and animals struggle to adapt and be able to survive these extreme changes, but unfortunately many animals die. Global warming is a phenomenon that affects us all, we must follow the recommendations of the experts to help each other to reduce global warming and to preserve our natural environment.

In Costa Rica, people are characterized by their great solidarity, mainly when a person is going through a difficult situation and needs help. When a person lose their home in a fire, there are different ways other people can help. First, we can help those people by taking them to a safe place and we can take them some things to spend the night. For example, it is important to bring them things like a blanket, clean clothes, shoes, personal things, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, among others, because when a person loses his house he loses everything. Another way in which these people can be helped is by spreading messages on social networks to ask for collaborations for the affected people. For example, upload publications on social networks so that other people can collaborate with these people either with things or with money through Sinpe. Finally, you can help these people by bringing them foods. For instance, you could talk to your friends or neighbors to gather various foods and then take them to the people who need them. Helping people after losing their home in a fire is something that helps us to be better people and to become more caring people with others.

President Rodrigo Chaves announced that he signed a decree in which the base salary of his ministers and deputy ministers will be doubled, since according to him they earn little for the responsibilities they have, this argument seems very inadequate to me, as does the decision to raise the salary knowing the economic crisis that the country is going through.

The president would be breaching Law 9635, which prohibits salary increases when the debt/GDP ratio exceeds 60%, and that is exactly what is happening in Costa Rica today, an example of this, is the economic crisis that is being experienced in Costa Rica.

I completely disagree since the president says that their salary is being increased, they earn very little, when currently, because they earn 1.3 million for month, this seems to me to be a mockery of the working class, their salary and salary are not raised base is still 350, 000 colones from years ago. For example, a middle class worker has to live with 350,000 colones a month, and a person living in poverty lives with much less, so why do not wages increase for the people who really need it?

It is an erroneous decision, I believe that they have a high salary and it is not correct to raise the salaries of the ministers more, since Costa Rica is experiencing a great economic crisis, families are being increasingly affected, for example: the gasoline is increasingly expensive, food increases every day, money is no longer enough for the families of the working middle class. 

The president should invest the money in helping many of the families that live in extreme poverty, these families if they really need this money.

A few years ago, I worked as a cashier in a bakery but the salary was not very good. I wanted to get a job that paid better, so one day my brother who is a chef in a restaurant called me and told me that the restaurant where he worked needed someone to help them cook; He asked me if I wanted to try it. I didn’t want to continue working as a cashier because I worked long hours and the salary was very little, so I decided to quit my current job to accept the new job in the restaurant, I was happy and at the same time I felt with afraid if I was going to do well or not in this new job. 

 

When my brother called me to offer me the job, I was nervous but I took the risk of leaving my current job and decided to accept the job at the restaurant. At the beginning I was afraid because I didn't know if I had made the best decision and also I had never worked as a cook but I took a risk and little by little they taught me to use the iron and the grill, that was the area where they needed me and in the end I liked this new job.

 

Changing jobs was the best option,  I felt great in this new job, I worked only eight hours, the colleagues were very good, I also learned a new skill as a cook, the salary was better, and I learned to prepare various types of foods for example; hamburgers, grilled ribs, grilled meat, grilled shrimp and grilled vegetables and more. In addition, he helped them prepare other meals and assemble dishes; In general, the work was very pleasant for me. 

Finally, I felt very happy with my new job, I understood that taking risks is not always bad, sometimes it is necessary to take risks to improve our lives, for example, in my case, taking this risk helped me feel good and have better benefits, so I can say that taking this risk was very good for my life. 

Then, the teacher assigned us to write more paragraphs and the difficulty increased little by little, some paragraphs were a bit difficult for me but in the end, I was able to write them.

Finally, I feel happy because by writing the paragraphs throughout the semester, they helped me improve my writing in English because at the beginning it was very difficult for me.
