      <title>Orthographic Markers by Brittany Wilson</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/wilsonbritt/orthographic_markers</link>
<description>Most, but not all, letters and combinations of letters in words are graphemes, representing phonemes (the smallest units, or sounds, in a spoken word). Orthographic markers are letters and combinations of letters that do NOT correspond to a phoneme in a word. Orthographic markers have functions other than representing phonemes in a word.</description>
