Last Sunday, my boyfriend, my friend and I were having breakfast together. We were eating and gabbing when suddenly my friend saw a bird perching on the tree in front of the apartment's balcony. My boyfriend thought it was a dove, but when I looked closely I was frightened! I ran out to close the balcony door before saying anything. My heart was racing because it was not a dove. Unexpectedly, it was a Carcará (type of hawk). The animal was very close and could fly into the apartment at any time. After the shock, we were appreciating how beautiful the Carcará was and took several pictures. I still don't know how it got there, because I live in an area with many buildings and few trees. Surely, Carcará’s visit enlivened our Sunday.

By Julia D. Antuniassi

Everything was ok, but then we reached a part of the street that was blocked by some rocks, because they were doing a renovation. So, we had two options: turn around or cross the street with the Scooter.

We choose to cross the street, because we thought that it would be faster, so we wait for the cars to pass, but then I accidentally accelerate the Scooter and ended up in the middle of the street.

I looked to the side and saw two cars coming slowly, but I got scared and accelerate again to reach the sidewalk.

I went up the sidewalk and that made a very loud noise, but everything is fine and fortunately, nothing bad happened!

By Emely Obuti

In the last December, some friends of mine decided to go to the beach and invited me, I was almost on vacation from college, so I went there focused on de-stress my mind. We drank a lot everyday that we stayed there but especially on Wednesday because it was birthday of one of my friends. We went early in the morning to the supermarket to buy the drinks and of course the cheapest champagne that we can get. We returned to the apartment that we are staying and drank a lot of beers and vodkas and we started the countdown to midnight. When is almost midnight we went to the beach just with the champagne and when the time comes, we popped it and throw it in each other, after this we take a sea bath, this experience in the night is indescribable, then we returned to the apartment but the doorman didn’t let us in so we entered hidden in the back door. The sad part of this history is that we don’t have any picture of this memorable day.
By: Vinicius Pavão

In my last vacation, me and my family had decided to go to the beach. We packed our stuff and went to it. When we got there, everything was calm and normal, like usual. We spent our days talking, going out together and having fun. Whenever I travel with my dad, we have the costume to go the beach in the evening to walk together and talk about some random things. It was a normal walking, like always, but unexpectedly we spotted some dead fishes out of the water. Even though it is normal to see one or other fish out of the water, we saw a bunch of them. We continue walking normaly, however after a lot of steps we continued seeing other dead fishes. It was really uncomfortable and I got a little bit sad to see all of those dead animals, but there was nothing that I could do for them. I still don't know why this had hapenned, but I think that can be something related to the polluted water. Well, it was a pretty unusual and strange day, although it's a good story to tell.

Written by Duncan Zancanella

When I was a kid, I had four turtles. Me and my mother used to wash their tanks every three days and put them in a surrounded part of the varanda until we clean their place.
One day, the smallest turtle disappeared from that area. We looked everywhere but we couldn't find her. I was very sad and we were thinking that she had already died without food or water.
After a week, my mother was going to the varanda to do the laundry and when she opened the door, she saw the disappeared turtle only waiting someone to notice her in front of the door.
She was totally dirty and with laundry soap, so we realized that she had an adventure in the neightborhood as the lower part of the varanda's wall was connected to the neightbor's apartment. I washed her immediately, put her back in tank and fed her.
I have no idea of how she managed to survive in that conditions, but I was very happy with her return.

By Letícia Kaori Suzuki

On a shiny Saturday of the most awkward year, since the evoluted step of humankind in shutting down the Berlin’s Wall, I was at home turning the bathroom clean and John was probably sleeping until 1 p.m. Despite the whole 2020 year, all the things were normal by that time. At 2 p.m. John and I decided to have lunch, as expected. So we jumped on Roberto and rode to our favorite restaurant. It was everything pretty commun, I was having a PF full of vegetables and John was having a tonel of meat. We got out with the aim to grab a board game to enjoy the rest of the day. We looked for the address of Board Game in Box and surprisinlly, Google showed us two addresses. We went to the first and nothing was there, but ok, they may have moved to the other one. Without Roberto, we crossed the town in the odyssey of the Board Game Catch. Nevertheless, when we got to the second place, guess what, nothing was there too. Melted by Google mistake, we went back to Roberto. At Higienopolis avenue, we had the sensation of staying in another dimension or maybe some hallucinated stage because there was: a dancing dinosaur arm in arm with Spider Man. And the weird thing was, nobody was paying attention to that. Ok, after that all we had to do was: be the dinosaur and Black Widow couple (I prefer Black Widow for hero) and, go to have an ice cream at Nissei pharmacy

By Winni

One time when I was young I went to the zoo in Sorocaba with my family. At one point of the tour we split up because we wanted to see different animals. So I went with my father to the bird’s area and when we passed in front of the cage of the macaws, one of them said my name! I think maybe it heard my father saying my name, and when the macaw said that, the others started talking too: Isabela! Isabela! And because all the macaws started talking, birds from other cages started making noises, causing a ruckus. Perhaps the macaws weren’t exactly saying my name, but the sound that they made was very similar to the way my name is pronounced. Still, I think this is an interesting event that happened in my life.

By: Isabela Suardi

After a few minutes swimming I had got really tired and I said to Daniel “Man, I am tired and the boat stills far”, but the beach was far too and Daniel said that we had to continuous, He was right and we continued swimming, but suddenly, when I looked to the right I saw a big boat coming to me and the pilot was saying “Are you crazy man? You can’t swim around here”, I got really desperate and I started to swim faster to escape from the boat, after this I realized that I was more tired than before and the boat was still far. While I was running from the boat Daniel had arrived on our boat and he said to the guide throw a floater to me, so he did and I finally could get on board…

I was in shock and the return trip was terrible, my body was in pain and I had to throw up all the sea water that I had swallowed.

At the time I was a very good swimmer, but after this experience I realized that I was a good pool swimmer, but the sea.... the sea is not a pool.

By Luiz Gustavo Leite

It was a december holiday, as usual I was in vacation. So my family and I went to the beach to enjoy each other and also rest. We went to the Guaratuba's beach in Paraná, and we rent a house, right in front of the ocean! It was quiet, pacific and really beautiful. There, it was always some animals in front of the house, cats, pigeons, dogs and I swear I saw a mouse once! But this is not the best (or no) part of the story. One morning, I was drinking my coffee and smoking a cigarrete in the house gate, and a dog appeared, it was a really calm and sweet dog. So I put him inside the house, to feed him and give some water too. Everything was just fine and calm. Until he starts to bark really loud and attack everyone in the house! I got bitten, my mom, my dad and even my little dog Dexter! It was really insane because nobody was able to stop him. Then, a girl appears in front of the house, calling "Becky, Becky! Here girl where are you", I went there and ask what was she looking for. And guess what.... it was the crazy dog that she was looking for. She entered the house and the dog became an angel. We all end up at the hospital, of course. That's what I call a crazy trip. My mother-in-law was vaccinated against COVID and it was great. As soon as possible, we went to the interior of São Paulo to visit her in calm town called Cândido Mota, close to Assis, the major city neartest. You can eat delicious foods with such a dear person, its priceless. She cook very well and this weekend she overcame herself – feijoada and fruit salad – simple delicious. Besides, Cândido Mota is a small and beautiful town. I really like Church Square, calm streets, security for walking at night. Near to town, there’s some incredible restaurants and rural walks. Anyway, it was a weekend to meet loved people and to believe that the pandemic will be finish. We hope soon.

By João Luiz Carvalho
April 20, 2021

I agreed with her, because it was a boring Tuesday after of the test week at the college

When we arrived, there was a long line to get in, because it’s a common ‘problem' in this type of location, especially in “tilt” party. Finally, we got in after that epic wait. Inside, we were dancing and my friend got wasted after drinking too much.

She saw her ex bestfriend hanging with other people (which she didn't like) and felt terrible, I had to help her out because she couldn't stop crying, it was probably the alcohol taking effect. I've never seen someone crying like that before. It was supposed to be a fun night for both of us, but oh well... And guess what? Her ex BFF also went to the rescue, but she didn't know my friend was crying out because of her. Do I have to tell you it made things worse? My friend freaked out after they talked for the first time in 3 years after they argued and went separate ways.

By: João Paulo
