I would give the following essay a 2 out of 5. As while they answer most of the questions they don't provide enough sufficient evidence to back them up (except for the first one), they explain how the pyramids rest in a diagonal line with how one starts at the top left, another on the bottom right, and one in the middle, but don't talk about how the structure displays power and wealth, and don't really tell us why they believed they would have their possessions in the afterlife or why the sphinx showcases the impact of the rulers. It got most of the questions right but doesn't properly explain why they chose that answer and why it matters.

I gave this essay a 3 because they included one visual characteristic of the layout, described the original function, and accurately used specific visual evidence to explain why the Great Pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza are understood as an expression of power and authority in Old Kingdom Egypt. But they didn't include two pieces of specific contextual evidence to explain one way the religious practices of Old Kingdom Egypt influence the design of the architectural complex and/ or its monuments.

I give the essay 3 points. The essay includes at least one characteristic of the layout, describes the function, and uses visual evidence to show how the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx are send as an expression of power. It doesn't mention all the things that the paper wanted so it doesn't get a 5, but it managed to mention 3.

I would give the following essay a 4 out of 5. As the essay provides almost enough sufficient evidence to back up their claims. They talk about how the pyramids are set in a diagonal line, they properly explain how it was used as a burial as they saw their kings as gods, but only provide one example about how animals influenced the design of the pyramids, they are however able to explain how the sheer size and the time it took to build them showcases power, but it's because of that one missing piece of evidence that I can't give it a 5.

I would give the following essay a 5. As they explain how the pyramids and sphinx were strategically placed on four directions, properly talk about how they were used as burial for kings and their riches to showcase power and wealth, and talk about how the directions were placed in response to the sun God and how cats inspired the sphinx due to their high status. And finally they explain how the sheer size and work on the pyramids makes it an expression of power, covering every question with enough detail which for me made it the ideal essay.

I would give this essay a 2/5 because their first paragraph explains visual characteristics of the pyramids, including that the pyramids are rested in a short diagonal line, earning them the first point. Additionally, they earned the second point for giving context about how the rulers would be buried in these pyramids with their possessions because they believe they can take those items into the afterlife. However, there doesn’t seem to be any points that could be added on.

I would give this essay a 4/5 because they hit all the points except for point D. The explain how the pyramids are set up in a diagonal line, from biggest to smallest, which gives them the first point. They then get the second point by explaining how the pyramids serve as a burial ground known as Necropolis, where they would bury kings. They got the third point by giving the explanation that the pyramids serve a symbol of power because they are huge, expensive structures. However, they don’t get the 4th point because they give another example. But they do get the point E because they explain how the pyramids as big as their status in the Old Kingdom.

I would give this essay a 5/5 because they explain every point they needed to explain. For starters, they got the a and b points by explaining how the pyramids were three large pyramids, facing with the four cardinal directional, and how it’s a burial site for pharaohs and other important figures. They then hit the 3rd point when they describe how the practices of the Old Kingdom made it so that they would bury the people with personal and wealthy items to show their power and so they bring it to their afterlife. They then tell us how the Great Sphinx serves as a symbols of protection and power, which gives them the 4th point. Finally, with their statement that the large and heavy material of the Pyramids to show how much authority and power they held and how the physical power represents their overall authority gives them the 5th and final point.

I would say this essay is a two out of five. It does describe a visual characteristic of the structure. The function of the structures as being tombs for the powerful is brought up. However, there is no mention of the religious significance of any design choices aside from a very basic mention of burial with prized possessions. There is no elaboration for claims of power. The author tells us that the structure is powerful, however does not tell us why.

I would give this essay 5 out of 5 , first point goes to describing the appearance of the pyramid's (cardinal directions), second pointing going to describing the site as a burial site, and third point going to two examples of religious evidence "these pyramids were made made larger to demonstrate their power and wealth" and "worshiping the sun God, so they made the pyramids line up four cardinal directions" and last point going to the mention of the sphinx's purpose and the pyramids authority.

I would say a three or a four. Visual characteristics brought up, along with the function of the tombs. The claim about certain animals acting as protection falls under section C. The author also meets standards for section E with the statement about size equating to wealth. The statement about pharaohs having godlike roles and thus godlike respect could fall under section D or E, though I would like to add that the text asks for evidence from C to E, I don't know that the response is elaborate enough to justify the claims.

I gave this essay 2 points out of 5 because it met the requirements for criteria A by stating that the pyramids are in a diagonal line and explaining their scale as well as meeting the requirements for criteria E by showing how the pyramids represented the pharaohs' wealth. The third paragraph doesn't really say anything that answers the tasks given by the question which means that the person didn't earn points for it and they missed the points for describing function and giving examples of contextual evidence.

It describes the form of the artpiece by stating that the sides of the pyramids were aligned with the four cardinal directions. Moreover, it talks about function by explaining that the pyramids served as a burial site for pharaohs and gives insight on how religious practices influenced the architecture by saying that the Egyptians believed in taking valuable objects into the afterlife which caused the builders to make the pyramids large as another way to demonstrate wealth in the afterlife. This essay also explains how the sun is aligned with the pyramids and would rise and fall in that line. Finally, the person earns the final point by stating that the scale of the pyramids were a kind of metaphor for the rulers of Egypt looking down on the common man, showing how they demonstrated the power of the pharaohs.
