Students will be capable of employing decoding techniques, identifying the syllable count in a printed word, and segmenting the word. Differentiated strategies are also offered for kids with varied learning requirements.

CVC Word Clip & Match Activity | Phonics & Beginning Sounds with Clothespin: The teacher will ask the students to use CVC word cards that are bright and interesting to look at for this practice. Players are asked to use colored clips to match the right word with the right picture. This can be told apart by having all four letters on the square phonic cards or just three of them. Students who are good at matching can be asked to do all the letters, while students who are still having trouble should work on the square phonic cards that only have three letters on them.

1. "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" story: To teach new words, the teacher will read the book "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" out loud, stressing the different animal names and having the students repeat the words. The teacher will also include activities like sound imitation, drawing, or matching games based on the animals and their sounds in the book. This will give the students a fun way to learn new words over and over again. For gifted students, this game can be changed so that they only have to answer the letters that make up the word when they are called on.

2.Teachers can use Sight Word to help their students learn new words. Teachers will be able to change the meaning of different words based on which kids are playing. A word will be chosen by the teacher from a bowl. The first student to get 4 words in a row wins a gift and calls "bingo." This will help them learn their sight words and hear how the words sound.

With repeated reading, kids can get better at reading quickly because they read the same section over and over. With help, students can read faster and connect with words better. I'm going to tell teachers to use these methods in the classroom.

In Sight Word Spy, you hide sight words in places that are easy to find around the classroom. Tell the kids that they need to find the sight words that the teacher says as part of the game. Students will enjoy this game where they have to listen and find sight words. This exercise advances phoneme identity development. Given a collection of picture cards, students are instructed to identify the ones beginning with the same sound.
Reducing the quantity of cards or adding more audio cues helps children with exceptionalism differentiate the activity.

I Spy Sounds: Children will seek images that share the same first phoneme as the target letter.

Mystery Bag is an activity parents will be able to do with their student at home. Parents will provide a little bag filled with several cards; the child will select a card and articulate what the card depicts. Having alphabet letters arranged allows children to place a picture beneath the corresponding letter of the object's initial. This is an excellent method to enhance communication skills and sound fluency. Children with disabilities do not require a bag; they can just arrange the pictures beneath the corresponding sound.

A simple thing you can do at home to help your child build their language is to read to them every day. This creates a setting with lots of language, which is good for kids' vocabulary development because vivid language interests them. You can make a language-rich setting even more easily by using self-talk and parallel-talk (saying what you are doing). Saying what you see your child doing or explaining what you are doing can help them learn new words and find fun ways to share their thoughts and ideas.

Read Rockets' Vocabulary:https://www.readingrockets.org/topics/activities/articles/25-activities-reading-and-writing-fun: The website gives a quick summary of why it's important to help kids learn new words and suggests things that you can do with them at home.
