 A Red scare is the fear of encouraged communism. The first Red scare happened after the Russian revolution, when the Bolsheviks revolted. It happened once in 1920, then it happened for a second time during the cold war around the 1930´s.  The main reason the red scare took place in 1920 is that Americans feared that Russian immigrants were going to revolt. Of all the arrests during the Scare the most well known one was about 2 men Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti.
