Chapter 1: Liam
I was walking down the sidewalk in the dead of night hugging myself. Father, god I hate him, had went off on a tangent and had thrown me down the front steps leaving bruises all over me from the steps and his hands. It left me out here with no shoes and no jacket to keep out the shivering cold rain. I shook as I pass an alleyway feeling someones eyes on me. I just walk faster not bothering to look back. If there was a person there was no way that I was going to give them the attention they wanted. Within seconds though, hands appear on me a cloth put over my mouth. It smelled weird and sweet. Like an over aged toffee. I don't remember much after. Just falling limp into whoever's arms and their whispers about Mr. A. I remember being jostled around to the point I felt a little naseous and a sharp pinch around my wrists like a spiked snake was wrapping itself around me. Then I open my eyes the world foggy around me until I could get my bearings. I blink a couple times and shake my head like that could clear it. I was in a small room that seemed to be part of a large warehouse with metal shelves and tools all over the place. I go to move my hands only for them to stop in their place. I was tied up. To a rusty old chair. I move around more scowling and looking to the only door in the room daring anyone to walk through. Who the hell would tie ME up. I growl as I move my hands more trying to get out of the plastic zip ties. Even when there was no success I was still trying over and over again. I stop when everything changes suddenly. Not appearance of the place. Just the air and the feel. Like someone had tried stuffing more air then there already was. Or like my ears were about to pop but couldn't. The door starts to open and a tall muscular man walks through the door. He wore a very expensive three piece suit. I shrink back from him wishing that I could sink into the floor and never be here again. A cigar hung from his mouth a certain spice coming from it as smoke drifted up. He grabs one of the scattered chairs and sets it in front of me before taking off his jacket and setting it over it. He takes a drag before taking the cigar out and blowing out smoke. I cough shaking my head.
"My name is Abe." He sets the cigar in a ashtray on the table beside him. "In this situation I usually would be seeing if you were adequate to sell off. "
My anger spikes. "Sell off!? What am I? A pig!?"
He just simply shakes his head grabbing his cigar again.
"You know that's a bad habit." I snap becoming overly annoyed with him. Just the way he just sat there with no care in the world. I start moving again the binds tearing into my skin.
"If you keep doing that you're going to hurt yourself." Abe says looking over some of his hair falling into his face.
"Yeah, like kidnapping me is any better."
The look that comes over his face makes me shrink back more. The air around him becoming a tad threatening. He gets up, setting down his cigar and walks over to me flicikg out a knife I didn't see him carry. I close my eyes ready for whatever was next. I expected him to to gut me like a fish with no regret. Instead he walks behind me and the ties release my hands. As they fall to the ground I rub my wrists holding on to them. He was still behind me and it makes me shiver slightly. He goes back to his seat and grabs his coat before nodding his head towards the door.
"Let's go." I get up and wait for him to start walking, hugging myself. He sighs and shakes his head putting his jacket over my shoulders. It was heavy and warm making it seem like the heat was seeping into my bones and I felt safe for the first time in forever. Like nothing was ever going to be wrong again. This time when he nods towards the door I follow him willingly.

Chapter 2: Liam
He opens the door and leads me out into a hallway where two people were waiting. I plaster myself to Abe's back when they stare at me.
"Hector, make sure to clean this place up. We're leaving."
This Hector guy looks at me before looking to Abe. "Yes Sir."
Abe starts to walk again making me stumble forward almost twisting my ankle. He opens a metal door leading to the outside. Rain fell on a black Rolls Royce with tinted windows and it's brights on. He opens the passenger side for me waiting patiently. Everything this man did seemed to be calm and collected. Like he wasn't afraid of any outcome. I bring the spicy smelling coat closer and climb in not bothering with the seat belt. He closes the door and walks around his suit, and himself, getting soaked in the insessant rain. He opens the door and gets in drops of water dripping from his hair, chin, and even his lashes.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask hating the little quiver that came out.
He looks over as he starts to drive off. "I have a mansion just outside the city. You'll be staying there, with me."
I figured the last part but kinda hoped it wasn't going to be true. He takes a turn and turns on the heat more water droplets fall off his hair and onto near perfect skin. There was a large scar going down the middle of his right eye the near white imprint showing out among the city lights.
"What are you going to do to me?"
He presses the gas before looking over to me.
"You're mine now."
I'm...his. I had a love hate reaction towards those words. I felt things and sparks erupt in my stomach at the words but in my head I screamed a firm, 'Hell no!'. I just shrink into the seat avoiding his serious grey like eyes. I felt like if I stared back at this alpha like figure I would give in to what was the pit that was growing in my stomach. After a several more moments we pull in to a long paved drive a large house in the distance. He pulls over right at the steps and gets out an old looking butler opening my door and helping me out instead of Abe. Abe stands beside the old man watching our every move.
"Dinner is on the table waiting Master Abe." The old man says a bit of an accent coming through. Abe nods leading us up the steps.
"Liam this is Geoffrey. He is my personal butler and runs the house under me and you."
Geoffrey turns to me and shakes my hand.
"Nice to officially meet you Sir Liam. I'll make sure that after the meal I'll see to your room."
I shake his hand too. "Please just call me Liam."
He removes Abe's jacket, to my displeasure, and smiles. "Of course Sir, right this way."
Abe had been long gone by the time I looked around for him. Slightly confused I follow Geoff down the hall and through a corridor until we come across a lavish dining room with everything you could imagine. Abe wasn't at the table or anywhere else to be found. I could smell that little trail of spicy smoke though. Geoff leads me to a chair and pushes it in for me.
"Master Abe has a few things to sort out and he'll speak to you more."
"He's not eating dinner?" I ask looking up at the old man. He merely shakes his head and puts a sliver covered platter in front of me. He lifts it to reveal a beef soup with rich broth and herbs. The very smell of it made my mouth water and I quickly grabbed the spoon that was provided and ate. Living with my father and working at the maid cafe left me with little to eat, nothing good anyways. Geoffrey shakes his head slightly with a smile as I slurped.
"So, is there anything you can tell me about...him?"
He raises his brows and takes the opportunity to put a cloth napkin in my lap.
"Master Abe?"
I nod taking another sip of the soup.
"He is a very secretive and secure man Sir Liam. I suggest that any and all questions go directly to him."
"Can you at least tell me something?" I whine setting down the spoon.
He sighs looking around us. "I've known him since he was young. You remind me much of that."
I tilt my head but take it. I push the platter away with a full stomach and go to stand. I know that I was now in a strangers house with people I don't even know but I felt like I belonged here. Like a deep sense that anchored me. Maids hurry to take my half eaten meal making me feel guilty about cleaning my mess. Before I could protest Geoff whisks me away talking aimlessly. We stop once we get to two large ornate oak doors. Different things were carved into the wood. A war upon angels and demons waged out while in the middle of it all was one large flower. Like a symbol of peace among choas and carnage.
I wanted to trace my hands along it, wanted to bask in the art along the gleaming dark wood. Geoff knocks on the door quietly before standing back with his arms crossed behind his back.
"You may enter." We hear Abe's voice come through the door making Geoff open it for me to walk in to where the brooding man sat.

Chapter 3: Abe

I sat at my desk and watched Liam walk in and look all around him. He gawked and gasped at the art and the amount of books. I watched as he ran his fingers across the carving work on the door to the spines of my ledgers near the door. Admiration bubbles up in my chest as I watched him. I kept it from my face as I propped my cigar on a nearby ashtray and grabbed my liquor bringing it to my lips. That's when he looks over, a look of disgust flickers in his eyes. He scrunches up his small and perfect nose as I set down the glass.
"That can kill you y'know."
I roll my eyes and pick the cigar up again taking a drag. "So I've been told."
He comes towards my large desk and looks down seeing similar carvings from the door on the sides making him smile to himself.
"Why am I here anyway?" He asks looking at me now, shyly.
I only let a hint of a smile onto my lips as I lean forward. "I was going to lead you to your room."
He blushes. "Couldn't Geoff show me where it is?"
I shake my head holding my cigar between my lips as I walk around the desk.
"Geoffrey is busy." I blow the smoke from my lungs and open the door motioning Liam forward. "We have rooms next to each other anyways."
He walks out with me following. It was almost complete silence the whole time. I put out my cigar on a nearby table and lead him down a different hall. I shamelessly stared at him the whole time. His face was in awe as his usually wide eyes were wider looking at everything. He seemed so innocent and puppy like to me. I stop in front of a door making him run into my side. He squeaks and moves away with a blush.
"S-Sorry."
I open the door and walk in letting him take in the large room. I had it set up while he was eating. A large king sized poster bed was set in the middle of the room it's spread similar to a robins egg. The rest of the room was set in a light birch wood and yellow hues making it seem bright. He gasps and automatically dives on to the bed and rolls around giggling.
"This place is huge!"
I gesture to a side door. "This is the restroom, which is connected to my bedroom on the other side. It has a full tub, shower, and etc. There is also clothing for you."
He looks up at me confused. "Why are they connected? What do you want with me?"
I shake my head and stare at him directly without shame.
"I have already made that apparent Pup. Now it's late and you need rest."
I go to the door and into the adjoining bathroom. After shutting the door I slowly remove my clothing before neatly placing them in a wicker basket. I turn the shower on and slip in catching a glimpse of my back in the mirror. I only give it a couple seconds before looking away. All down my back was a religious like mosaic of a monster looking creature. A demon. It seemed human besides the scaled like skin, 6 feathered wings, and eyes that mocked a snake. His arms were slacked at his sides while each wing was stretched out wrapping around my neck, torso, and waist. I shower quickly catching a glimpse of Liam through the door. He had somehow gotten ahold of a lollipop as he watched t.v.. He was already dressed in a pale off white night gown. I shake my head and look away. Now was not the time to pay attention to his full lips. I turn the shower off and wrap a towl around my waist, going over to the mirror. I take a few moments to shave and wash the razor out. The door creaks open from Liam's side revealing his curious face. He looks in and sees me in my fuzzy black towl making him blush. He looks away his face resembling a succulent cherry.
"I- uh-."
I set the razor down and stare at him. "Have you heard of knocking Pup?"
"My name's Liam, and I-. Since the water turned off, I thought-."
He looks back at me, his eyes trailing over my chest to my towel. He shakes his head as if to clear it. Without another word I shake out my hair and go to the opposite door opening and shutting it behind me as I walked in. Our rooms were similar in set up, the colors were drastically different though. My bed spread was a deep red color while the room accented a dark oak and silver. I remove my towl and let it drop as I reach to PJs that were already set out. As doing so I light a cigarette and place it in my mouth. Scold me for a bad habit, I don't give a shit. The smoking and drinking left certain things where they belonged. In the past. I snuff out the cigarette and lay down in bed. I stared up at the ceiling with my hands propped behind my head. I heard Liam rummaging around in the bathroom before quieting. I turn to my side and close my eyes, knowing that I had to wake up early the next morning. Like most nights I slept light, painfully aware of everything around me.

~

I had woken up early and dressed in my normal, dark three piece suit. I walked through the bathroom and into Liam's room intending on waking him up. I walk up to the bed seeing how the sheets swallowed him up. I marveled on how small he was. At most he made it to my chest and that's counting his blonde curls. His body wasn't really boney but you can tell he has skipped a meal or two.
"Pup," I start shaking him lightly. "Time to get up."
The sun was barely rising outside almost making its way past the blinds. Liam groans and shifts around his eyes still closed. I chuckle lightly and poke one of his puffed out cheeks.
"You have five minutes." I walk away pulling out a cigar. I open the door and walk down the hall and to the diningroom. I could smell breakfast from my room and I was getting hungry. I sit at the head of the large table Geoffrey pushing my chair in.
"Breakfast is almost ready Master Abe."
I nod placing a maroon cloth napkin on my lap. "Be sure Liam is down here as well. He is small enough as it is."
He bows at his waist quickly and hurries out. I huff in annoyance and lean back in my seat. Ever since I came into this money I was treated like royalty. I pinch the bridge of my nose and take a deep breath. I hated the bowing and the names but Geoffrey was persistent. Once upon a time I was like every third class individual. Well, as much as I could be. I look up when Liam is lead into the room, freshly bathed and clothed. He seemed a little tired still as he sat down in the chair on my right. He rubs his eyes cutely as Geoff sets a cloth napkin in his lap before pushing the chair in.
"Today we have taken the liberty of making a fruit parfait with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries for you Sir Liam." Maids come in with a tray of covered food. One of them places one in front of Liam and the cover lifted off showing the dessert like food.
"And for Master Abe we made something hearty. We've prepared a breakfast steak made medium rare, hard scrambled eggs with onions and cream, lastly a lightly toasted bread was set on the side."
They set my plate in front of me lifting the the food cover. I lift my fork and knife cutting in to the meat making blood slightly pool underneath.
"Thank you all." I mutter.
Liam digs in quickly as well smiling and dancing in his seat. I watched quietly as he swallows and smiles up at the maid named Hanna. She smiles back shyly and giggles.
"I'm going to attend meetings all day today. It's your choice on what to do in the meantime." I tell Liam placing a peice of meat into my mouth and chewing. I can see him watching my lips.
"All by myself?"
I swallow and set my utensil down.
"Well Geoffrey or Hanna would be with you anytime that you want, though, I'm sure they have a few things to do as well."
He nods and looks up at Geoffrey. "I'm sure I'll find something to do."
I nod and get up and go to a side table, opening a dark box filled with cigars. I grab one and light it as I walk out of the room.
"I must be leaving then. I'll see you tonight Pup."

Chapter 4: Liam

I watched as he left in the car he brought me here with. A maid with red curly hair, who addressed herself as Hanna, was behind me holding her hands in front of her. Geoff had ordered her to show me around this palace of a mansion while he helped clean and sort some papers. I turn around and smile at her hoping for a new friend. She smiles back and tilts her head slightly.
"I should show you around."
I nod and start walking starting our journey. I thought that now was the best time to get to know Abe. Thinking that his servants were weak lipped.
"So." I start looking over to her. "What's up with Abe?"
She looks over to me and adjusts her dress. It was a grey dress that hits her ankles with an apron over it. I expected it to be shorter from how I assume things were. I'm not saying Abe was an over sexual man. He was actually quite the opposite. My mind flashes to last night when I saw him in just the fluffy dark towl. A blush spreads across my cheeks and I shake my head. I look over to Hanna making her chew on her bottom lip nervously. "I'm not sure what you mean."

"I barely know the man! There must be something you can tell me."
She opens her mouth and Geoff's voice comes from down the hall his foot falls near silent.
"Sir Liam, allow me to show you the rest of the house."
I look over to the old man holding back a scowl. Hanna bows her head and hurries away. The old man was fixing his cuffs and white gloves before smiling at me.
"Master Abe wishes for me to show you to your room quickly. Hanna will be by later with a lunch tray."
I follow when he walks away crossing my arms. I knew I was caught.
"Can someone tell me something? Anything at all?"
He looks over and shakes his head.
"Questions pretaining Master Abe should be directed to him."
I huff. "How can I when he barely even talks?"
He turns a corner and looks over to me.
"He usually has a lot on his mind due to work. Though I'm sure he'll be more occupied with something else soon enough."
The way he made it sound I got the impression he meant a woman. A pang of jealousy sparks in my chest.
"What does he even do anyways, y'know, for work?"
Geoff says it casually as he opens my bedroom door. "He is the CEO of Alpha Corp. and Kingpin and head of every gang imaginable."
My mouth forms an 'o' and I stop in my tracks. Alpha Corp. made everything known to man, ran every political party, and even had pull in scientific discoveries. That on top of the gangs, mafia, and etc practically made him a king. No, a god. This was the man that kept me. The man that offered me his home. Geoff chuckles as he watches me jump on to my massive bed.
"What about a wife?" I ask quietly kind of dreading the answer. Geoff walks around the room straightening things.
"He doesn't favor women."
It take me a moment to process before I'm a giggling mess.
"Abe is gay!?"
Geoff looks over to me confused and he cocks a brow. This makes me laugh more.
"He doesn't seem like it! I jus-." I laugh more covering it with a hand.
"Not very many people know. It never really comes up," he explains coming over to me. "I must see to my other duties. Master Abe will be back soon."
I watch him leave and Hanna come through the door with a tray of food. After awhile we started talking like we were old friends. We giggled and poked at each other. We stop when we hear Abe's door open and close loudly. He seemed....angry. Hanna and I sneak to the bathroom and sneak to his door. It was partially open revealing Abe, who was pacing around with a scowl on his face. You can tell he was thinking hard by how his brow line scrunched up. What was going on? There is a knock in his door and Geoff comes in.
"Master Abe-."
He cuts him off with a wave of a hand. "Never mind that Geoffrey. Just make sure the stray account is taken care of."
Stray account? I listen closely, Hanna only following my suit.
"Then what Master Abe?" Geoff answers his face grim as Abe lit a cigarette and put it to his mouth as he went to pour himself some whiskey. I scowl at the habit. Why must he do it constantly?
"Then we look for any others, snuff them out, and deal out what they deserve."
Abe looked ruthless as he took a drag, holding the smoke in his lungs. When he lets it out Geoff waves the smoke away from his face.
"May I have a request Master Abe?"
He grunts humoring him.
"Your test results come back in a couple days. Could you, even for a moment, take a break from the mind numbers?"
He shakes his head. I couldn't see his face but I could see his shoulders sag.
"I'm going to my office. Can you be sure to get Liam for me?"
That was his only answer as he walks out of the room a mask falling over him. Hanna and I quickly return to my room our heads trying to wrap around what we heard. Was he going to tell me? Geoff, as told, guides me to Abe's office and leaves quickly. Abe wasn't sitting at his desk instead he was standing in front of it. As soon as Geoff shuts the door he points to behind him.
"Sit down."
I blush and wring out my hands. "H-huh?"
He chuckles darkly. "Sit down Pup, I have some things to teach you."
I slowly walk around the desk and sit in his large chair. My feet dangled off the edge, barely missing the ground. I now understand why he liked sitting here. The seat alone was plush and comfortable. I lean back and smile sitting criss cross apple sauce. He stands in front of the desk and puts out what seems to be his fourth cigarette. He points to the book that is wide open in front of me.
"Do you know what that is?"
I look down to reveal pages upon pages of numbers and symbols. All of it indicating the growth and a slight loss in most places. I shake my head.
"This is a ledger." He motions to the bookcases around him. "As are these. Most businesses keep them electronically now but my predacessors and I found this more reliable."
He begins pointing out things to pay attention to and even how to write some. I thought he was joking about making me the next head when he first told me, but now it seemed all to real. After what seems like an hour or so we move on. He closes the book and places it back in its rightful spot. Then he comes to the front of the desk. He crosses his arms looking at me seriously.
"Back straight, chin up."
My eyes widen at his authority and I do as he says quickly.
"Now, tell me, someone comes to you and proposes a deal. It seems irrational, they refuse to tell you any details, and they are getting loud. What do you do?"
"Um-," I hesitate for a moment before my answer coming out as question. "Hear them out?"

He slams his fist on the desk. "Wrong."
I squeak and jump fighting the urge to hide my face.
"You refuse their offer if they fail to elaborate or if the offer doesn't favor your plans. You vocalize this in a strong voice. A steady one too."
I nod my head. "Yes Sir."
He straightens and stares me down.
"How should react if they pull out a weapon, like a gun perhaps?"
Who the hell goes to these meetings?
"I doubt that would happen-."
He moves quickly and reaches behind him whipping out a gun and pointing it at me. I shake and want to run away. His face was calm and collected, even when he could end my life. I stutter and squirm in the seat. He pulls the gun away as quickly as he brought it out. He pulls out the clip and cocks it back making the bullet inside the chamber fly out and clink on the floor. I release a breath I didn't know I was holding. Then the anger comes.
"What the hell was that!? Are you trying to kill me?"
He sets the gun down still calm.
"I'll train you how to fight soon but in the mean time. If you reach under the desk there is a small button. Preshing it alerts Geoff and sends an alarm to the other butlers, who are trained in combat."
I growl at him. "So I lose by default!"
"Wanted to see your flight or fight response."
I huff and look away, crossing my arms like a brat. Abe just scoffs and shakes his head. It's then that I notice. This was the longest I've seen him go without smoking or drinking. Before I can say I word there is a knock on the door making Abe roll his eyes.
"Dinner is ready Master Abe."

Chapter 5: Abe
We ate dinner in silence. It was fine with me because it gave me more time to think. During my meeting today I was notified of a stray account slowly syphoning out my money. The life of the account wasn't old, a few months at most. What I couldn't wrap my head around was what would this person need the money for? I made sure all of the people under me were well indowed in payment, people with families having more pay. It irritated me immensely. Not because it happened but because I couldn't tell it was there like I did everything else. I look over to Liam who was eating his food happily, his cheeks puffing out like a chipmunk. I take a bite of my own food, a pasta made with a delicate sauce, my thought going to him. I wanted to learn everything about him. Even when looking up his name nothing comes up. I could get information on everything and everyone else besides him. I loved his eyes. The soft blue seems to cushion everything around me. Eyes that calmed down the the constant roar in my soul. He looks up to me and blushes lightly.
"W-what are you looking at Sir?"
I set down my fork and lean on the table. "How about we go out tomorrow? Just you and I. We could go anywhere you want."
He is taken by surprise and seems to actually think about my offer.
"You're going to let me out?"
I look at him confused. "Of course, you're not a slave or a captive. I just wish to take care of you."
He blushes harder and looks down at his plate.
"S-Sure. I don't mind."
I smile softly startling him even more. "I'll move everything aside, and we can have breakfast in town."
Soon our plates are taken away and I'm leading him to his room. He is quiet beside me sneaking glances he thinks I don't see. I loosen my tie and speak to him.
"I do apologize for being rude Pup. I didn't bother asking how your day was or even how you slept."
We stopped at his door. He turns his back to the door and looks up at me his eyes twinkling with life.
"It was o-okay."
I nod and brush a strand of hair from his face.
"Sleep well. I've planned a full day out you won't regret."
I go to my door and open it. I go inside taking off my clothes slowly and throwing them aside. I stayed in boxer shorts and light a cigarette, letting the smoke into my lungs. I sit on the bed and listen to Liam shuffle around, hearing the occasional giggle and something from the t.v. go off. I put out the cigarette, and light a new one. Liam had distracted me enough for a couple hours that I didn't even bother with what Geoffrey called 'mind numbers'. That was another thing I needed to address. When I had to tell Liam what I was. Behind all the suits and the money. The demon. The boy they tested on. It would come out sooner or later and depending on his reaction, I had to be ready for a rejection. I put out the smoke when I don't hear Liam's little laughs. I get up and go through the bathroom, peeking through the cracked door. I could see Liam fast asleep on the large bed, the covers seemed to swallow him as the pillows cradled his head. The t.v. casted a low glow into the room the volume turned down as it played The Simpsons. I open the door and slip in quietly searching for the remote. I reach the bed and spot it beside him. I grab it and point it to the t.v., turning it off and leaving us in darkness. I look down at Liam. I know I had scared him when I pulled out my 9 millimeter by the way he looked and practically scolded me earlier. I set the remote carefully on the bedside table and turn around, intending on going back to my own room. I stop when he shifts and mumbles lightly the covers moving down to his waist. Then, like the big softy I become, I replace the blanket around his shoulder before returning to my room. Unlike every night, I fell asleep with no problem. Well there was a slight problem.
~~

Bright white rooms and beeping machines have always been part of my life since I was a young. The government had noticed certain things about me. In foster care I was a troubled kid and always got into fights. By the time I hit 15 I had put over 20 people in the hospital for the rest of their life. At 16 I had shifted into a monster. That was when I got caught to be tested on. Apparently I wasn't the only one with this ability. I was one of many. I sat in the middle of a room, a straight jacket restrained my arms to my chest as I curled in in myself. I didn't know the time it was but I knew it was time for a dose of the 'medication'. The door opens and an older man walks in. He had to be in his mid 30s. What I first noticed was that he had nothing. No syringes, no pills. He comes over to me and starts to undo my bindings.
"Greetings Sir Abe. I'm Geoffrey and I was ordered by my master to retrieve you."
~~
I wake up with a soft knock on the door and Geoffrey coming through. I look over to the clock seeing that it was only 3 in the morning. I sit up and rub my eyes.
"What is it Geoffrey?"
He was only in PJs himself as he walked over to my bed side and sat down. He looked up at me and looked away quickly, like he was scared.
"You were snarling Abe, in your sleep, and your eyes."
I shake my head and take deep breathes trying to calm myself. "Right, I apologize."
I reach for my pack of cigarettes and see them empty. I throw them back on the side table with a growl.
"Be sure to get me more smokes later."
He shakes his head and gets up, looking around the room. He goes to the door and leaves as quietly as he left. I sigh and lay back on the bed with my arms spread out. When the bathroom door creaks open I freeze and look over. I see Liam peek in and look all around the room. He sneaks in leaving the door open as he looked all around my room. He could have heard me, but still, what was he doing? He sneaks up to the bed looking anywhere but my face. When he does he bothers to reach a hand towards the hair that fell into my face. Like he was going to play with the soft strands. I reach up quickly and grab his wrist. Not hard enough to hurt, but hard enough for him to know that I was wide awake. Before I could speak he was already trying to stutter out an excuse.
"What are you doing out of bed Pup?" I interigate him letting go of his hand and sitting up. I felt vulnerable in this spot. Slumped over and a little tired.
"I-I thought- I heard-." He blushes and looks away, the movement making his baggy shirt sway.
I smile softly. He was worried. "I'm okay Pup, now go back to bed."
When he nods and turns away I can hear his stomach growl. He winces and goes to run to his room.
"Pup, wait." I say getting out of bed and reaching for pants. He stops but doesn't turn around, like he was afraid of seeing my in my boxers. I chuckle and head towards my door.
"I'm in the mood for a little midnight snack. Want to make a trip to the kitchens?"
He looks over to me. "You're allowed to do that?"
"Of course. C'mon." I say opening the door and leading him down the hall slowly. His hands reach for my arm as we walked in the dark. I could feel his eyes on my back but I ignore the feeling, and ignore the urge to ask him what he thought of it. When we make it to the kitchen, which was off to the side and hidden behind a very ordinary door. I open it slowly and poke my head in seeing that the only light that was on was the one over the modern silver stove. I lead him in and shut the door quietly, as if I didn't want to wake anyone up. This reminded me so much of my time as a growing teen here. Liam looks around in awe, almost too distracted to notice my movements to the fridge. I open the door squinting at the sudden light that flooded out and lit up the room more.
"What are you doing?" Liam asks trying to look over my shoulder. I straighten when I grabs the maple syrup and the chocolate syrup in my hand. He looks at me confused as I set them on the counter starting to look for small glasses and plates.
"I'm making us a snack." I say bluntly as I set the cups and plates down in front of the syrups.
"I don't think you can make a snack with that." He says, his face scrunching up. I chuckle, getting the rest of the things I needed. Now that I was equipped with the peanut butter, milk, and bread I set to making the snacks. When I was younger this snack was my favorite and even helped me certain nights. This was one of the only things that I brought from my life before everything happened. Peanut butter and sryup sandwiches with chocolate milk to wash it down. I know it sounds weird but it was always heavanly for me. It tasted like pancakes to me, which was secretly my favorite food. I chuckle to myself as I watched Liam as I stir the chocolate syrup into one of the glasses of milk. I made us each a sandwich and a half cup of milk. When I was done I slide a plate over to Liam following it with a cup.
"Go ahead. I promise it's good."
I reach for my own sandwich and take a bite of it, practically stuffing half of it in my mouth. I hum in satisfaction making Liam reach for his and take a bite of his own. I start to make another as I chewed and poured a new cup of milk. If he made habit a beast then Geoffrey would be here any moment now. Despite him being human I swore he was able to know everything that went in in the house. When I look over to Liam he had the whole sandwich in his mouth his cheeks puffing out. His eyes were closed and he seemed to be in heaven. I shake my head and take another bite of mine. He sips his milk and goes to reach for the one I just made. I slap it away playfully and put my finger to my lips. In no time the door opens and the old man peeks in and smiles. He walks in his face becoming hard in mock dissapointnent.
"I thought you learned not to sneak around at night by now Master Abe."
I chuckle and point to the plate. "Come on old man."
He laughs and grabs the plate starting to eat himself. I set the rest of my sandwich down and slide the plate over to Pup. He eats it happily as I down the rest of my milk like it was air. Before either of us could open our mouths a distant phone goes off, making Pup jump a mile into the air. My brows furrow as I look over to Geoffrey.
"Who would be calling my office phone this early in the morning?"
He sets down his plate and grabs Liam by the arm.
"I'm not sure."
I nod heading to the door. "Make sure that Liam gets to his room."

Chapter 6: Liam

Turns out that one phone call ruined my whole day. Abe had to go out on business, so I was left to be mostly by myself the whole day. I was in my room looking at myself in the mirror. This morning I wanted to melt at how human Abe seemed. When I went to his room after hearing him in the midst of a nightmare. Then, when hearing my stomach, he made me something to eat. After we all heard the shrill ring of the phone though he snapped back to the normal him. I sigh and flop on to the bed. I only stayed there for a few moments before a knock could be heard. I look up.
"Come in."
I wasn't used to the politeness of this place. Hanna walks in quickly her face red. I blink and sit up fully watching her bite her lip excitedly.
"I found something Liam!"
I stand up, still confused. "What?"
That created the encouragement for the wave of words that came from her.
"I was doing my duties and bringing Master Abe's clothes back to their place in his closet. Then I found a small door!"
I secret door in a closet? I didn't know what to think. I shake my head still confused. She sighs and grabs my hand pulling me to his room quickly.
"Wait!" I stop her. "What if he finds us?"
She smiles. "He's out of town for the day. No one will see."
I nod and sneak in with her, making a beeline to the closet. When we make it in there she goes to the back and moves all the wool jackets with a grunt. That was when I see it. It was only about three feet high with an intricate design. I reach my hand out to trace my fingers along the door knob. What would be hidden behind this door? What secrets? I open it slowly to reveal a short hallway that was covered in cobwebs. My curiosity comes over me and I start to crawl through, Hanna not that far behind. I swipe the webs away, hoping they weren't homes to spiders. When I crawl out to the other side I was left in a half finished room. I did a full circle and take in the white walls, plain window, and the table. The only furniture that was in here. I walk over to it noticing binders on top of binders placed on the table. I read the front of one out loud so Hanna could hear.
"Subject A, Ages 9 through 12."
What was this stuff? I open it slowly skimming over pages of what seemed to be someone's medical history. I turn the page and stop in my tracks, my eyes widening. It was a picture that was pinned page neatly and perfectly straight. Hanna was looking through some other things but I stared at the picture. It was Abe when he was around 17. He seemed to be in a worn straight jacket as he was turned away from the camera. It was almost as if he didn't know it was there. He was staring out the single window as the light drifted down onto his pale face. You can tell he was about to give up. This boy in the picture was the exact opposite of the man I know now. The boy was skinny and boney. Like he would blow away with the wind, now his muscles were filled out, his skin no longer pale. I grab the picture and turn the page seeing another picture. It had to have been taken in the same year but this time he was in front of the mansion with Geoffrey and another man. The large man wasn't touching Abe, same as Geoff. Abe seemed happier, healthier, and more alive then the last picture. Each showed his vulnerability. Something he only gave me glances of. I take this one too and look over to where Hanna was. Her face was pale as she read over a page. She feels my gaze and looks up at me.
"Oh my." She seemed breathless. I go over to what she was reading. The first words had my eyes widening.

'Subject A Deaths: 6.'

I began to read the ways he died and how they brought him back to life. Poison tests, Drug tests, and even Neurological tests. I shake my head and slam the binder shut. What the hell? I tried wrapping my head around it and tried to even my breathing all at once. Abe...had a past. I see Hanna grab a disk as we hear something going on in the room. We jump, a squeak falling from my lips.
"We have to go!" I whisper shout. We run to the door and crawl through as quickly and quietly as mice. Just as Hanna was shutting the door Geoff walks in, confusion on his face as he notices us.
"Oh Hanna, I thought your we're finished with Master Abe's coats hours ago."
I jump to her defense. "She didn't get finish because I came in here and distracted her."
He raises a brow and looks me up and down, like he could see through my lie. I scratch the back of my neck and blush.
"That and...Abe smells really nice.."
This makes his brows hit his hairline.
"Thank you for that inkling Sir Liam. Now let's allow Hanna to finish her chores."
As he turns around Hanna shoves a disk into the back of my pants. I wave to Geoff and go straight to my room. I let out a breath and put a hand to my chest as I panted quietly. My heart was going a million miles per hour. After regaining my breathe I shove the cd in between the mattress and sit on the bed. I feel guilty, but now I know him a little more. No, a past doesn't define someone. I just know what happened in the gnarled, brutal, dark beast that Abe called his past. It made me feel better about my own troubles. My abusive father, my drop out mother. I shake my head to get rid of the dispare. I need to do something to distract me from what I've learned. I get up and hop off the bed making a small noise as I landed. You would think Abe should have been here by now. Maybe I could find him. As soon as I open my door I see him stomping down the hall looking like a pissed off devil. I tense up and my eyes widen. Did he know we were in that room? He stops in front of me his tension seeming to melt slightly.
"I need you to get dressed in something formal. Some of my inferiors felt the need to be introduced to my heir."
I swallow looking down the hall before looking up at him. Behind his mask I could see how stressed and tired he was.
"Where are they?" I ask quietly.
He tilts his head, noting my nervousness. "In the dining room. You have five minutes."
He walk away leaving me as quickly as he came. I shut the door and pout. I was a bit jealous that he didn't give me more of his time. This was supposed to be our day. I stomp over to the closet angerily and open the door. Before I could step inside though an idea popped in to my head. It took several moments, even a bit of help from Hanna, but I was ready. I look at myself in the mirror, smiling. Hanna had managed to find me a sundress with spaghetti straps that reveled my shoulders and collar bone. It flowed down to my knees, which lead to a pair of white converse. I fussed with my hair again, making sure that the pink clips were placed perfectly. She giggles and wishes me luck and leaves a moment before Geoff walks in. He looks me up and down before shaking his head.
"I hope you understand what you are doing Sir."
I lift my shin in confidence. "Of course I do! Now tell me about these business partners, or whoever Abe brought."
He nods his head. "There are four of them in total. Sir Silas is a bit of a perv and a greedy shark so I advise to not become a blimp on his radar. Sir Alexander seems quiet and timid but is full of wit so I would watch what you say in front of him. Now, Sir Tobias, is the most humane of them all so conversation is welcome with him. Lastly Sir Isaac, he is similar, but also very different from Master Abe."
I nod my head following him as he lead me to the diningroom. Geoff himself seemed to be dressed in his best suit for this occasion. I tried memorizing it all, chanting his words to myself in my head. When we make it to the open room my eyes go straight to Abe. He was lounging back in his chair, a glass with amber liquid clutched in his strong hand. Then my eyes go to the others before returning to his. As soon as he looked at me I noticed a darkness flicker in his eyes. His whole mood seemed to have changed with that one single look. I lift my chin and take my place beside him flattening the wrinkles in my dress. I smile at them all politely.
"I'm Liam, it's nice to meet you all."
Everyone was quiet until the man with dark skin and tight curls for hair smiles.
"I'm Tobias." That encouraged the rest of them to introduce themselves. Silas looks over to Abe, who I knew was trying to get my attention, and sneered at him.
"I didn't know your heir was a queer Mr A. Sure as hell didn't know you allowed it in your home."
I tense up and had to look as Abe slowly looked over to the large man. He sets down his glass of liquor and stares Silas right in the eyes. There was no fear, no remorse, in his eyes.
"Its a wonder why I let the scum of the earth, you, into my home. Though I am feeling quite... charitable to go through your utter bullshit."
He sounded bored as he leaned back in his chair. Everyone was struck. Well except Geoff. He seems to be holding back a smile as he helped maids flood in with trays of food to set the table with. Now that he wasn't paying attention to me I started to get jealous again. I know, I was a brat. I turn to Tobias and smile turning on my own charm. I flirted with him the whole meal. I could feel Abe's anger radiate off him in waves.
"Your suit it very beautiful Tobias." I smile, batting my lashes.
He smiles back. "Thank you Liam. It came straight from my tailor in Italy."
I feign interest as I gasped, setting down my fork.
"I wish I could go to Italy!" I exclaimed.
"I could take you there sometime." He chuckles, "Maybe for lunch."
Abe growls swallowing the slightly bloody rib eye steak piece he had shoved in to his mouth.
"I think thats enough for tonight."
I pout and look over to him. I was hiding it but his growl shook me to the core. No it caressed it, teased it. I look down at my light salad before looking up. All the businessmen got up. Like Abe was a king dismissing his subjects. When we were the only remaining people at the table he looks over to me, his eyes back to that dark searching look. He gets up and goes to me slowly. He leans down making me hold my breathe as he ran a hand down my cheek.
"You look very lovely Pup." He murmers.
I blush deeply, not knowing what to say. He leans in and draws his lips down my cheek erupting feelings in my chest.
He pulls away. "We'll go out tomorrow. No exceptions or excuses."
I nod my head still lost for words. He pulls out my chair and holds out his hand to help me up. When I grab ahold of his hand he doesn't let go as we walk out. This was a different Abe. A softer, flirty, intimate Abe. I look up to his face as he lets out a low hum of satisfaction. My eyes go down the scar going through his eye and cheek wondering how it came about but then I was distracted by his hand. His hand was relaxed in mine, hidden callouses and scars a rough pleasure against my soft hand. He stops in front of my door and releases my hand and drags it through my hair.
"Bright and early Pup."

Chapter 7: Abe
I thought about Liam in that damn dress the whole night. How he looked in it. How he flirted with everyone. I wanted to do more then growl. Afterwards, seeing him blush, holding his hand, feeling his skin under my lips. I shake the thoughts away and looked at the clock. It barely hit 6:30 in the morning and I was restless. I get up with a sigh and go to the bathroom going through my routine. Once I'm in one of my nicer suits I head to Liam's room, but then I stop myself. I'll let him sleep in. I turn around and head to my office, wasting time on reading through the ledger for the month. I lit a cigarette and write down notes quickly trying to pass the time. Eventually Geoffrey comes through the door after a brisk knock. I look up and take out the smoke.
"Sir Liam is asking for you Master Abe."
I hold back a smile and stand up placing my pen back in its place.
"Very well." I respond. "Be sure to bring the car out front."
We both walk out and I notice the rain skidding down the window. Of course. This won't stop me though. I spot Liam down the hall looking at one of the paintings. I stop in front of him and give him a small smile. He blushes and looks towards the window.
"I hope you slept well Pup." I say as the old butler passes us.
He looks back up to my again. "I did. Y'know since I actually got to sleep in."
My shoulders shake as I hold back laughter.
"Well I'm glad. You ready to go? I was thinking of maybe going out to eat then going wherever next."
I lead him down the hall with my hands behind my back. He smiles and practically skips. Today he was wearing a white polo shirt, short black shorts with white stockings, and black dress shoes. I think he did this simply to tease me like he had done the night before. When we make it close to the door I reach for the jacket another butler held out, wrapping it around Liam to sheild him from the rain.
"Deja Vu." He mutters, holding the coat closer to himself. Yes, deja vu from when I first brought him home. Once the doors open I lead him out quickly to the open passenger side before getting in on the opposite side. We are pulling around the drive slowly and Liam looks back to Geoffrey and waves. I smile softly and head into the country side. I keep on catching Liam staring at me like I was the most beautiful yet confusing thing he had ever met in his life.
"Tell me something. Something about you." I look over to him, waiting for something. I look back to the road when he speaks.
"I love cotton candy and going to the carnivals that come into town."
I smile, imagining him among the careful lights with a large cloud of sugary bliss.
"It should be coming into town soon. Once it does I'll be sure to take you."
I tell him taking a right hand turn.
"Now you have to tell me something." He demands. "It's only fair."
I nod my head and chuckle. "I hate ice cream."
"WHAT!" Liams screeches and reaches over, grabbing onto my bicep. I lose it and laugh hard, shaking my head. We enter the city slowly, as I explain my reasons. His grip on my arm didn't loosen but I didn't mind. He is talking aimlessly when we make it to the downtown square. The hair on my arms are on end, making me look around. We were at a stop light with several other cars. There was an S.U.V. to the left of us. I couldn't see who all was in it. When the light turns green I inch forward slowly. As soon as we make it to the intersection I can practically hear the s.u.v. stomp on its gas pedal. I throw an arm in front of Liam knowing I can't avoid the impact. They intentionally ram into my side. I grunt as the bent metal and fiberglass connect with my left side while Liam's airbag hits my arm. Pup screams in fright and the car gets pushed over. The s.u.v. backs up quickly and people lean out the windows with their guns ready.
"Get down!" I yell at Liam, already pushing him to the floorboard. I duck down just as a bullet breaks through my window. I reach for my waist band quickly as I reach over and open Liam's door.
"Get out and stay close to the car." I tell him calmly. He follows orders just as I break the rest of my window and shot back. Two bullets hit home with two of the men. I crawl over the consol and get on the opposite side of the car. Liam is huddled into a ball, crying. I go to him quickly and swipe away his tears.
"It's going to be okay Pup. I promise."
I reach for my phone and press speeddail 1 then hang up. Men are on their way. Next is speedial 2. My lawyer and other legal person I need starts working. Finally speeddail 3. I keep Geoffrey on the line as I force Liam into my chest.
"Get everything sorted." I demand him through the phone before shoving it into Liam's hand. He is a stuttering blubbering mess as he tries talking to Geoffrey. I pop up to a standing stance and fire off more shots. Liam comes up to for some reason. The split second that it takes me to shove him back down I feel a searing hit pain in between my shoulder and neck. I heard Liam scream my name before he is dragged away by Hector to the waiting car.

Chapter 8: Liam
All I heard was a ring in my ears as I watched part of the clothing on Abe's shoulder rip to pieces and the bullet dig into skin. I shouldn't have gotten up. I should have stayed where I was told. Before I could look at his wound I'm being pulled away by Hector. I had to watch as Abe emptied his clip and throw his gun to the side. He was emotionless as he walked around the car. Away from me. His eyes were a shade of bright yellow but I didn't care.
"Abe!" I scream before I make it to the car. I needed him with me. Needed him to be calm and okay. He stops walking, taking a deep breath that brings his shoulders up and then down. He turns around and walks over to the car, bullets no longer flying through the air. I was so afraid. Shaking so much that my teeth were chattering. He ushers me in first before coming in and shutting the door. He was shouting orders to the two in the drivers seat and passenger before being handed a phone. Though I was no longer paying attention to that. My eyes were on the black blood that was seeping into his clothes. I thought of every excuse for it not to be black. Maybe it was the trick of the light? I reach up and start to pull away the tattered spot on the shirt. Abe stops moving, stops breathing. Under the shirt it seemed that his skin had a slightly green tint to it. Is it possible that it could be infected?
"Pup." Abe murmers quietly.
I shake my head. "Let me see."
His blood smelled like sulfur and burnt skin. I swipe away some of the blood gently, making Abe wince. The tips of my finger was black. Almost like I had dipped it in an inkwell of the finest. Hector interupts us from the passenger seat.
"You need to get that looked at Mr. A."
Then his lifestyle, just him being him, came crashing down on me. Like someone had dumped freezing water over my head and pushed me barefoot out in the snow. He wasn't human. He couldn't be human. The way he has to fight. The way he has to look around every corner and into the dark recesses of this world. It scared me. I couldn't breath and dark spots started to crowd my vision. I covered my ears and curled in on myself, cowering away. Why did he think that someone as small as me would be okay with this life? I may have been screaming, I may have been crying. I didn't know anymore. I felt like I was dying. I could faintly feel Abe's hands on my sides and back as he leaned over me. His weight was a little reassuring to me but it didn't help much. I hear him whisper softly in my ear.
"Open your mouth Liam."
I questioned it. Why did I have to open my mouth? I slowly do it and then feel coolness fill it. Was this...an ice cube?
"Suck on it, bite it, just do something." Abe begged. I look up at him and see a sorrow in his eyes.
"I promise I'll explain everything. Anything you want to know."
The ice cube slowly melted in my mouth and I gained some more control over myself. Abe looked sick, pale even.
"You're hurt." I whisper softly.
He nods his head slowly. "I'm going to be okay."
We turn into an alley and before we could stop fully my door opens and a deshelved Geoff appears.
"Come now, into the safe house."
He helps me out and away from Abe. This 'safe house' was merely just a large room tucked away in an ally. The door way made it looked ran down while on the inside we had everything we needed. Abe followed but he was holding on to his wound. I was pushed towards the bedroom half of the pad while Geoff practically dragged Abe over to the couch. Abe starts to slowly take off the top part of his suit, sucking in a pained breath as he moved his shoulder. I walk over slowly as I get full view of the wound. It went clean through so there was no bullet matter to dig out of his flesh. Something in my head was telling me to touch him again. To swipe away the blood and seal his wound myself. Geoff was pulling things out of a bag as I reached out. Abe tensed up, sensing my movements like he did everything else. Even the old man stopped what he was doing to watch. My hand connects with his skin and a sudden shot of light and air go through my body. I could see the skin closing up but Abe cries out at the touch. His voice was like two combined with each other. Like there was someone living in his body with him. He clenches his teeth as his eyes went from serpant like slits to his normal grey. I felt high, almost like I had taken every drug known to man. Once the wound was closed he was panting like a dog out in a summer heat. He growls at Geoff, making the old man move away slowly. In one swift motion Abe reaches over to me, his arm strongly wrapping around my waist before tugging me onto the couch and onto his lap. He wraps his arms around me.
"Mine." He growls, "All mine."
His voice was deeper and gravel like. Almost like someone was dripping caramel down my spine. Geoff looked puzzled but I knew he wanted me away from Abe. I didn't know what I wanted. I squirmed a little in his lap, making it to where I was facing him. His eyes were that bright yellow with serpantine slits with scales disappearing and reappearing up his chest and neck.
"A-Abe?" I question him. I didn't know what to do, how to take away the tension that was in his body.
At the sound of his name he closes his eyes and takes a large breath. As if to calm down the being he was about to become. When he opens his eyes it was grey faded with yellow. He still held me close. Almost as if he didn't want me to move. He leans his head on my shoulder and shudders.

Chapter 9: Abe
The healing caused something inside me. I look up from Liam's shoulder and growl at Geoffrey like I didn't know him.
"Out."
Liam places his hands on my back and pats it gently. "Sir, it's okay."
Geoffrey still moves towards the the door like I told him to.
"I'll see to the lawyers Master Abe."
When he leaves Liam pulls my face away from his body. The look in his eyes makes my demon grumble. I have never been so close to A since before the experiments. I was so close that I could hear snipbits of his thoughts.
"Tell me what's going on." Liam says caressing my cheek. A's grumble emits from my chest as I looked him in the eye.
"I'm not human." I tell him. "I'm a monster that hides under your bed or in your closet."
He moves his hand away and we miss it. A and I both.
"What kind of monster?" He asks me calmly. He starts to move off of my lap and beside me. It was like he was trying to set as much distance between us as he can.
"You said any questions I have. You promised." He tells me when there is a long pause. I sigh and lean back into the couch.
"They call it a demon."
He moves back away from me like he was afraid. Like he didn't want to be here anymore.
"Liam.." I say, trying to move towards him. He shakes his head and moves away. I nod and get up quickly, going to the bar. I felt rejected, but I had to expect this. Not to mention what he is. Only angels heal. A writhed as I poured a glass and downed it. The more I drank and smoked, the more he wouldn't bother me. Liam gets a look of disgust, concern, and even confusion in his face. I growl and grip on to the glass hard enough that it starts to crack.
"Say..something." I ground out.
He hugs his knees to his chest. "I was warned about people like you."
I set down the glass and scratch at my chin. He was 'warned' about people like me. I stuff my hurt down along with A and grab the bottle of liquor.
"Of course." I turn my back to him reaching for the cigar box. I walk past the couch and towards the window, opening it.
"Where are you going?" He asks quietly. I stop and look over to him, making him flinch.
I sigh. "I'll never hurt you Pup, please don't flinch."
I climb out the window and climb up the fire escape. I was glad that Liam didn't bother following me. When I make it to the roof I go to the opposite ledge to set the stuff down. My life was filled with rejections and push downs, so why did this one actually hurt? I growl at myself and look out to the city in front of me. I light a cigar and bring it to my mouth. Deep breathes in and finally out expelled the smoke. I don't know how long I stayed up there but my liquor was gone and my cigars were running low. I couldn't catch much of what I was feeling anymore. I grab the crystal tumbler and throw it off the roof. It flipped as it fell, the edges dazzling in the lights. I hear a squeak when it shatters on the ground.
"S-Sir, it's getting dark." I hear Liam say behind me. I look over my shoulder to him, my vision wobbling from side to side.
"What are you doing up here Pup?"
He comes up to my side, placing a hand on my arm.
"I was worried. Maybe we should go back to the safe house." He suggests and tries moving me away from the ledge. It took him awhile but he helped my clouded mind and body down the fire escape and through the window. He does leave me to stumble the rest of the way to the large bed. I reach for the flask in the bedside drawer. He stops my hand quickly and grabs it, moving it away. He then pushes me on to the bed, onto my back. He looks down to my pants and blushes before turning around.
"You need to go to bed.."
Right, that's why he was blushing. I sit up and unbuckle my pants, sliding them off and throwing them aside. I then got under the covers like a small child. He looks over to me again before moving over to the couch, turning on the one t.v..
"Sleep it off. We'll talk more tomorrow."
Surprised with this new assertive side, I comply and turn over to where I was facing the window. It takes me several moments to relax but I fall asleep, holding on to the pillow.

~
White walls that gleamed in the bright overhead light. The beeping was starting to irritate me. Even A, even if the medications made him feel like a world away. I was in a new straight jacket for this test because of how damaged I left the last one. In front of me was a glass window where the cowards could observe me without any possible chance of getting hurt. Soon a door on the right of the window opens and two people in hazmat suits walk in. They both carried a tray full of needles.
"Commence the Venom and Poison tests with Subject A." Someone says over a speaker in the corner of the room. I struggle in the jacket, trying to get out of the chair and away from them. They pick up the first needle. My heart is racing and wanting to break out of my chest. I feel the pinch in my neck and the clear looking liquid enters my blood stream. It doesn't take for a moment and everything is okay. The next, it feels like my throat is closing and I can't breath. My nerves feel like they are being touched directly by a live wire. When I started to scream in pain they wrap a cloth in my mouth to prevent biting. They inject me again. I convulse and my vision starts to go black. My body becomes weak.
"Subject A is losing consciousness." I hear them say faintly. When the dark finally swallows me up I can feel my own heart stop beating. I was finally free, until I wasn't.
~
Hands. Small, fragile hands were on my shoulders. I couldn't open my eyes. I couldn't handle the fact that I might still be in that place. I feel a mouth at my ear and someone whisper softly.
"It's okay. I'm here." That was Liam. It was his body that I felt leaning against my back. My whole body had somehow curled into the corner of the bed, hiding my face. My body was shaking and my throat was dry leaving me in a vulnerable state. I turn over slowly looking up at Liam like he was my savior. He smiles at me gently.
"Hey there tiger." He says.
I reach up and hug him to my chest, burying my head into his neck. He melts into the touch and plays with my hair.
"It's okay." He reassures me.
I shake my head and take and deep breathe.
"Please don't leave me." I begged him.
He wraps his whole body around me and plants a kiss on my cheek.
"I'll never leave."

Chapter 10: Liam

Abe had fallen back asleep after awhile, leaving his arms slack around me. Truthfully I had fallen asleep on the couch when I heard his thrashing and light growlish whimpers. I didn't know what to do at first so when I got up and ran over I stood over him as he squirmed. He hugged his chest like he had a straight jacket on, or he just needed something to hold that wasn't there. As soon as I put my hands on him he started to calm and slowly woke up. Then I think to earlier. I was an idiot. 'I was warned about people like you'. I could've wacked myself upside the head. Just his hurt look alone made me want to cry. I was one of the only people he allowed close to him. In the car earlier he was laughing, smiling, and care free. You can tell he didn't like his demon part of him because of people's reaction to him. Fear because of the stereotype of ill will. Too much interest that lead to experiences that he shouldn't have been through. He grew to hate himself. I shook Abe a bit in attempt to wake him up. It doesn't take long for him to look at me with his sleepy face.
"Are you okay Pup?"
I nod my head. "Promise me something."
"Anything." He says quickly.
"Promise me to take care of yourself, and to not throw me to the curb once you get bored."
"I'll never get rid of you." He says honestly.
I place my forehead against his. "I'm sorry I hurt you earlier."
He tenses up and I can see him slamming that wall back into place. Can see it in his eyes as he stared into mine.
"Please don't block me out."
All he does is slowly move away and sit on the edge of the bed.
"I need to get you back to the house."
That's when I did something on a whim. I move over to him and make him face me before planting my lips on his. He grunts as I push him down and sit on his lap. His hands go to my waist and his lips start to move against mine. At first he was soft before pushing my lips open with his tongue. A purr comes from his chest making me trace circles up and down. It made a warmth spread in my stomach as he flipped us over and pinned my hands above me. That was over quickly. Almost as fast as it happened it stopped. He pulls away like it was painful and gets up and out of the bed. He was running his hands through his hair like he could comb it out. He looks to me and then looks away, almost like he couldn't stand the sight of me spread out for him.
"Abe.."
He shakes his head. "No."
He goes over to the dresser and whips it open, pulling out clothes.
"No?" I ask, getting off the bed. He starts dressing quickly.
"Hector!" He hollars. The very tone of his voice had an edge to it. Hector comes in quickly.
"Yeah Mr. A?"
"Take Liam to the house and make sure you give him his stuff back."
Liam. Not Pup.
I get up angerily and yell at Abe. "What the hell is wrong with you!?"
His eyes whip over to me and I could see the confusion he was hiding, but I didn't care. I stomp over to Hector like a brat and snap at Abe.
"I don't want to see you again."
I stomp out, making Hector follow me out quickly. He looked confused but still did as Abe said. That made me hate him more.

~

I stayed in my room and avoided Abe every chance I got. Not that it was hard to do so anyway because I noticed he had been avoiding me too. The one time that I went to the diningroom for dinner Geoff had told me that Abe was out with some business partners. I didn't even hear him come to his room that night. I sat on my bed and crossed my arms not knowing what to do. After awhile I hear Abe's foot steps enter his room. He was talking softly to someone. I get up and go to the ajoinjng bathroom, opening the door and watched as he took off his wool coat and lay it on the bed.
"I don't care. Make it happen." He growls. When he turns around and sees me his eyes grow darker.
"Just do as I say and do it quickly." He hangs up his phone and sets it down on his bedside table.
"Before you say anything." I snap. "I just want to say you've been a huge ass."
His brow raises. "Oh?"
"You've been avoiding me! You didn't even give an explanation!"
"I didn't think you would want it." He says, going over to a vanity and taking off his watch.
"I don't but the fact you didn't offer it offends me."
He looks over to me and scowls. "You're being a brat."
"We were getting close and you pushed me away!"
"You pushed me away first!" Abe explodes. "Rejection is almost an everyday thing for me Liam. Then you showed up. You were different from the rest. Until you knew."
"You're just a monster." I say lightly with a slight venom. When he flinches I regret it. I wanted to take those words back. He then nods and looks at the ground like he could memorize the hard wood.
"You know sometimes I wish they would have killed him and left me to die."
"Abe-."
He shakes his head."Get out."
"But-."
"I said get out!" He looks over to me, pain filling his eyes. I start to tear up and run out. I run out the door and down the hall, past maids and even Geoff. Tears ran down my face as I ran down the back steps bare foot. He hated me now, he had to. I trip in the drive way when I hear a roar. Not one of this world but one of the next. I knew it was A fighting Abe. I get up agian only for dark figures to surround me. An object being hit over my head. I fall to the ground and cry out in pain as they do it again. It was almost like when I first met Abe but they never put me through so much pain. I am being jostled around and thrown like I was garbage. I was also cold, almost like I was plunged in an ice bath. I open my eyes gradually and I'm in another warehouse but this time I was sitting in front of a desk. I was tied tightly to a chair, the rope digging and cutting into my skin like knives. I look up, trying to focus on the freakishly large man in front of me. He literally looked like a pig with an up turn nose, double chin with slight wisps of hair, and not to mention the giant wart looking mole on his forehead.
"Who the hell are you?" I grumble.
A hand comes out from no where and I'm slapped, making my head jerk to the side.
"That is not how you talk to the future kingpin."
This person was trying to get to Abe? I look up to the person beside me, the one who had hit me.
"Pardon me then."
The Pig talks. "Do you know how hard it is to get you?"
"What is that supposed to mean?" I ask, confused.
"Ever since you entered that house." He leans forward. "Not one person can get you for leverage. I have had many of my men die."
"Why do you even need me?"
"Leverage." He smiles and reaches over to an answering machine. The buttons clicks and Abe's voice comes over the room.
"I know you have him Gutter. If any of you dare even offend him in any way I will tear you apart."
Gutter presses it again and you can tell A was trying to break free.
"WHERE ARE YOU!?" Disgruntled, deep growls, and snarls came over the phone. "HE IS MINE! MINE!"
I struggle in the binds, wanting out. I knew they were all in deep shit if I was ever found. The person beside me grabs me by the hair and pulls my head back.
"Stop squirming."
I whimper when his grip tightens.
"Now" Gutter starts, his chair creaking. "You're going to tell me all you know."
"I-I don't know anything."
I wanted to run and hide. To go back to the mansion and take back what I said to Abe. A fist connects with my stomach, making me curl over on myself. I throw up all over my lap and feet.
"Liar." Gutter growls.
I cry, trying to hide myself as much as I can. "I swear!"
The chair gets tipped over and I'm being kicked over and over again. Like I was their punching bag. It reminded me of my father. They don't stop until someone opens the door and slams it shut. The man was panting with fear in his eyes. Thats how I knew he was here. I laid on the ground bloody and broken as everyone looked to him.
"Boss, it's not what we expected."
Gutter just gets up and points to the door. "Get out there and shoot him on sight!"
They all run out into a darkness that I could see building and shuts the door. Shots already rang out along with screams of pain and agony. Gutter comes over to me and starts stomping on my chest. I gasp and cry out. I wanted it to end. I wanted him to stop.
"Tell. Me." He demands.
He stops when some of his henchmen come back. They were blanched white with fear.
"LIAM!"
I was no longer afraid.

Chapter 11: Liam

They all move away from the door as they hear footsteps climb up what I assumed were stairs. Dark spots were floating all around my vision as I watched the door. The footsteps stop in front of it making them all move away and point their weapons at it. The metal groans and I start to see hand prints start to appear from the other side.
"What the hell?" Gutter questions. He starts looking all around him like he could escape. The only door there was, was the one that was currently at the assault of A. The groaning stops making them all hold their breathes. A loud bang rings out as a hole is punched through the door. An arm is shown. One that was partly covered in greenish grey like scales with long black claws. The arm retracts and it happens again. Gunfire starts as they shoot through the the holes A causes. Soon he grips two of the gaping holes and rips the door entirely off it's hinges. It was completely dark. Even during the mid day it was like someone had turned out the light. Nothing could be seen beyond that point. They riddle the darkness with what is left of their bullets. Almost like they could kill it. Yet the darkness stayed intact, almost like it swallowed up those bullets entirely. When they stop there is a low chuckle that teased them almost. Like the reaper ready to take their souls. The spots in my vision were getting more consistent as the minutes went by. Then his eyes appear. Like yellow orbs shining through a dark room. They were more threatening than the last time I saw them. They are more carnal and animalistic, threatening to tear the very world apart. Then he steps out of the darkness. He wore nothing but ripped pants as he smiled at the room. Sharp fang like teeth protruded over his bottom lip. He was covered in blood and carnage without one single scratch on him. As he panted scales dissapeared and reappeared like he was trying to grasp ahold of A. Even I knew that this was only a partial shift some how. I knew that there was something deeper to this beast. Gutter takes out his handgun finally and fires at A. Each bullet that hit A's skin made me cringe. Instead of digging in though they crumble and fall to the ground.
"Abe!" I scream. Please get me out of here. Please help me. His eyes flicker over to me and sees what they have done. He snarls and launches himself onto the room. He had no mercy as he tore into the first man. The next he lifted up by his face and ripped his throat out with his fangs. I stared and started to get sick with all the blood and parts that he was scattering. I closed my eyes tightly and tried to ignore the screams and the squelching. I swear at one point I heard Gutter squeal. There were several moments of silence. Moments where I thought he left me where I was. When I open my eyes he was crouching in front of me, his hands held above me. The darkness that had filled the place was going away and disappearing into his back. I was shaking as he slowly lowered them. His eyes were now his though. Not A's entrancing but scary serpentine slits, Abe's grey-blue ones that I could lose myself in. He gets me out of the binds quickly and picks me up. The scales disappearing slowly as he walked with me in his arms. You could see bruises start to sprout all over his body with each step that he took. I reach up and cup his cheek, making him look down at me.
"I'm not afraid."
Then I'm being claimed by the darkness clouding my vision.

~

When I wake up I know that I wasn't in my bed. Abe's scent was all around me as I attempted to turn on my side. I open my eyes and see Abe. He was leaning back in a chair on the side of the plush bed. His eyes were closed as he propped is head up by his hand. We were in his room that had the moon filtering through the partially opened window. I wonder if he has been there the whole time, and wondered how long I laid here. I let out a whimper and hold my side as pain starts to radiate and beat on my ribs. I was starting to hurt all over and I couldn't bare it. Tears build at the corner of my eyes as it became worse. Abe's eyes fly open and you can see his clouded eyes. He moves towards the bed, hushing me gently like I was a child. He gets in the bed entirely and wraps his arms around my gently. Almost like I was a breakable doll.
"It's okay Pup."
I grip onto him like he was a lifeline.
"Everything hurts." I whimper to him.
He kisses my forehead. "I had just sent off Geoffrey for more meds several moments ago. He'll be here soon."
He starts to drag his fingers up and down my back soothingly, his cool fingers easing some of the pain. The door opens and Geoff walks in. He held a white paper bag in his hands that had a small receipt attached by a cheerful sticker.
"Where should-." Abe interupts him with a low animal like snarl. Geoff just nods and sets it on the vanity nearby before leaving the room. Abe gets up from the bed and places his hands under my arms.
"I need to get your bandages changed too."
I allow him to help me to a sitting position with a wince.
"Couldn't Geoff had done that?"
He stops and looks me in the eye, a dark cloud settling over his. Almost like a sea in the middle of a storm.
"You're mine." He grumbles out gently.
He goes to the bag and brings it to the bed.
"I need to take your shirt off." He tells me, reaching for the hem. I hold up my arms and let him bring the soft material over my head. Bandages were wrapped around my torso, right arm, and thighs. He reaches for the ones around my torso and starts unwrapping it slowly. He throws the old bandages aside and grabs a clean roll. He stops and looks at the bruises and cuts on my chest. He sets the bandages aside and wraps his hands around my waist.
"S-Sir?"
He leans over and kisses me right above my belly button. I blush and let out a small noise. He pulls away and looks me in the eye, his regret showing in his.
"I should've found you sooner. I shouldn't have...I shouldn't have yelled at you."
I cup his face in my hands. "I shouldn't have called you a monster."
He turns his head slightly and kisses the palm of my hand.
"Please forgive me Pup."
I bring my lips to his forehead and kiss him gently. He picks up the bandages again and starts to wrap them around my wounds gently. Then he started to sing. It was softly at first, barely a whisper among the wind. It was beautiful and sweet and eased my very soul. He moves on to my arm, kissing it as my harmed skin showed. I didn't know what language he sang in but I could hear the Celtic tones. The simple roll of his tongue had me relaxing me and marveling at his deep baritone. Once he was done he takes the dirty bandages away and throws them into a bin. He digs through the bag again and produces an orange pill bottle.
"Can you swallow a couple pills?"
I shake my head quickly and hug myself. He nods his head and sets them on the vanity.
"Out of choice, or you just can't."
I look up to him. "It's hard."
He grabs one of his glasses and crushes the pills underneath it until they are just a white powder. He then moves it aside and swipes the powder into the cup. He goes to the adjoining bathroom and I hear the sink running. He comes back, swirling the cup. I then noticed how unprofessional he looked. A black wife beater that nasty bruises peeked out of. Scars covering and tracing up his arms like wicked snakes. He wore baggy ripped jeans and had on no shoes.
He hands me the glass. "Here. Drink it all."
He moves to the chair again and sits down. I bring the glass to my lips and start to gulp it down. I knew he was hurt but he wasn't revealing it to me. I mean his eyes were clouded and hazed over.
I set the glass on the bedside table. "What's wrong with your eyes?"
He helps me lay down and doesn't answer the question.
"Abe." I grab onto his arm. "What did you do to yourself?"
He looks at me and admits. "I had to take a sedative in order to keep A from forcefully shifting."
He would shift...for me? He hushes me and lays down beside me. His warmth made me feel safe and comforted.

Chapter 12: Abe

I could hear everything. Smell everything. It was overwhelming to the point that I was looking anywhere and everywhere for my liquor or even a smoke. It had been a couple days since I brought Liam back and he was healing quickly due to whatever power he had. My head was pounding as I stomped into the house.
"Geoffrey!" I roar, throwing my jacket at the servant offering their aid. The old man shows his face, making me growl at him. That has been happening a lot lately.
"Where did you put them old man?" I question him in a low tone.
He lifts his chin up high. "Your results came in Master."
The results from a wretched test he makes me take evey couple years. Its to help me understand my senses. Believe it or not my habits hurt them in the long run. I was the only one that didn't care.
"I told you I didn't give a flying fuck about those damn results."
I move past him, the fly in the corner bothering me so much I had to get away. Everyone's heartbeats clogged up my ear as their slow and steady beat drove me crazy. I could hear things from clear across the mansion as maids and more butlers did their work. When I get to my room I don't bother shutting the door before practically tearing the place apart. I rip out drawers and dump out their contents, each clatter and bang like a gunshot point blank to the head. I throw the drawer in hand aside and start checking pockets of everything I owned.
"Where are they!?" I roared to no one in particular. When I hear the bathroom door creak open my head whips over to see Liam. He was staring at me with his wide doe like eyes. He watched as I panted and threw a pair of pants aside.
"S-Sir."
It could have been a whisper but it was still too loud. I wince and cover my ears at the incoming migraine. A was rearing his head and taking every chance he got to listen to everything. My eyesight begins to inhance when they flutter open. Liam steps into the room and places his hands on my cheeks, making me bring my hands away.
To my mercy he whispers. "Are you okay Sir?"
"Too loud." I ground out.
He nods like he understood what I meant. He drags me to my bed and makes me sit down before getting on his knees and reaching for my shoes. I lay back and listen to his heartbeat with my eyes closed. His was the only one I didn't mind. He gets up again and blushes.
"Can you lay on your stomach?"
I get up and tilt my head to the side. Which I soon regret.
"I was going to give you a massage." He says quickly, his whole face a deep red. I then start to remove my shirt.

:Liam:

I watched as he took off his dress shirt slowly. It revealed to me his sculpted and scarred chest. The grey fabric slides down his arms slowly until he tosses it aside. Then he turns around and lays on the bed. I cover my mouth and looked at the beauty of him. I only caught bits of glances at his back but now I had veiw of the whole thing. A large demon like monster laid relax on a bed of carnage and mayhem. It's greenish grey scaled arms were held at it's sides, it's clawed fingers clenched into a fist. It's face held something familiar to me. A certain kind of humanity. It's bottom and top rows of teeth intersected and intwimed with each other, hiding the bottom and top lips. If he had them in the first place. I get up on the bed and settle myself on his ass, my fingers tracing each of the dark grey feathered wings. Abe tensed under my touch before relaxing. A beautiful beast. A beautiful and horrifyingly gourgeous creature laid on his back, staring back up at me. I lean down and press a gentle kiss to it's neck. Then I start to massage Abe's back, seeking out the knots that were there. I almost stop when he starts to purr. A deep and subtle vibration of his chest that sent tingles through my hands. I settle them on his shoulders and move up onto his lower back. The purr intensifies as the taunt muscles relaxed under my touched. I take a peek at his face and smile. He looked relaxed with his eyes closed and his mouth partially opened. The scar on his face seeming a bit smaller. I put more pressure in the massage as I slowly moved down his back. This felt right to me. Us being so close and him being so relaxed. I plant another kiss but this time on his shoulder blade. He grumbles. "Keep doing that Pup and I'm going to be the one on top."
I blush and giggle, sitting on his backside again.
"Is that so?" I ask with a teasing smile. "Is it because your ticklish?"
His purr hasn't stopped but he chuckles.
"I'm not ticklish."
I work his sides to test it out just in case. To my dismay he doesn't even tense up to hold back laughter. He just sighs and props his head up on his arms.
"What were you looking for?" I ask him quietly.
He takes a moment to answer. "I'm aware it a nasty habit, but I was looking for my liquor or even a smoke."
I press my hands down and draw them up his back.
"Why do you need them anyways?"
"They surpress A and his senses." He starts. "They cloud my human mind and set a cloth between the two of us."
I stay silent, hoping he would say more.
"I never got used to his senses because of how overwhelming they were, and I never was given the chance."
I nod and remove my hands, getting off his back. "What happened to you? Before you got all this?"
He turns over on his back and stares up at me. He looked stricken. Like he was reliving a past hurt. He licks his lips as if they were dry and looks away from me. I knew what happened and I felt guilty knowing before he told me. I even watched that disk earlier today and the horrors that were revealed on it weren't even a quarter of what they had put him through.
"A long time ago..." He sighs, grabbing my hand like I was his strength. "There were these facilities that were built for testing. All over the world there were odd things happening. Young girls producing wings and flying away. Young men shifting into beast that are beyond this world."
He was telling it to me like it was a story. Like it never happened at all.
"Every government wanted to know why and how. Wanted to know what they could withstand." He takes his hand away and traces a finger down his chest, right along a jagged scar.
"You don't have to tell me anymore." I tell him once I notice the far away look in his eyes. Yet, he kept going.
"They took these people, most of them children, to these facilities. Most of them didn't live through what they tried to do. I remember seeing body bags being lined up right outside The Crypts. That's when they separated us all. Demons, Angels, and half breeds." His hand goes to his neck, almost like he was choking himself. "They forced the shifting and then had the beast tatted on our backs. To remind them what we truly were."
He looks over to me, clarity coming over his features. A wrath that promised pain and suffering. I shivered at the look and hugged myself. "When I left I slaughtered all those doctors and took the war to their door steps. Each place fell under my control and all that is left is rubble."
Then he left it at that. He didn't explain anymore as his hand reaches for mine and squeezes it. I lay down beside him and prop my head on his bare chest, tracing the finger along his abdomen.
"How old were you? When you knew A was there?"
He takes a shuttering breathe as he remembers that moment.
"I was 9. That is when I first heard his voice. I was a homeless orphan fighting for my life then."
I snuggle up closer to him, his body acting as if it were a furnace. He looks down to me.
"Enough about me. I need to know more about you."
I look up to him and give a subtle shrug.
"Nothing extravagant. Mother left at a young age, Father is a drunk that likes to beat people when he is mad.., I did work at a maid café though."
He lets out a strange noise. "Maid café?"
I sit up and hold up a finger, running to my room and grabbing my phone. I come back with a picture cued up. It was of a picture of my coworkers and I. I was the only male that worked at the cafe but I didn't care. It was the highlight of my day when I went there. I was in the middle with my tousled blonde hair with cat ears set in the middle. I wore a black facemask and the stereotypical maids dress that made it to right above my knees. Beside me was my friend Carol. Though I knew Abe could car less about her. His eyes were planted on me, his eyes looking at everything. As if he was committing it to memory. Then he looks to me again.
"Do you ever wish I never found you?"
My heart stops.

Chapter 13: Abe

I waited for his answer as I heard him draw in a breath and hold it. I start to regret my question when it takes him several long moments to speak.
"You don't have to answer." I say quietly, sitting up and leaning against the head board. He looks at me defiantly and crosses his arms.
"No I don't regret it. Wanna know why?"
Intrigued I lean towards him, making him blush. I smile and crawl over him until his back was to the bed, his legs spread out wide enough to wrap around my hips.
"Why?" I ask softly, my lips so close to his.
He stutters. "B-Because. You saved me."
I shake my head and lean down into his lips. Kissing them softly before pulling away.
"No," I whisper, watching as his bottom lip quivered. "You're saving me."
His hands reach up and cups my cheeks, bringing me down to crash onto his lips. We ravaged each other slowly. My hands reaching under the hem of his shirt has him taking a small breathe. I smirk against his lips and dive my tongue inside. He lets out a surprised moan and grips onto my shoulders. I pull away, ignoring the spit that trailed between us as I went for his neck. I left a small peck and subtle touches before sucking on his skin.
"S-Sir."
I pull away slowly, seeing A's yellow eyes reflected in Liam's blue ones. They go wide as I begin to feel him grind against me.
"I want to bite you." I growl to him, pressing more into him with my hips. He moans and grinds harder. I could feel his cock hardening and it excited me more. I reach for the collar of his shirt and and rip it. At the sound Liam gasps and blushes. I pin his hands above his head and lower my lips to his chest. I capture a nipple into my mouth and play with it in between my teeth. The soft sensitive bud hardens as he squirms and lets out small whines. I hum into his skin before moving on to the other nipple. I loved how he squirmed underneath me as he moaned my name over and over again. When I move my mouth away I could feel his hand clench. I look into his eyes and saw the lust in them. I smile when I bring a hand down to cup the front of his pants. He was so hard and pulsing under my touch. I slip the button on his pants and tug them down along with his boxers. He blushes from his neck up as he leaks pre cum. I smile and lick my lips.
"Were you so close baby boy? Just from my tongue and lips on those sweet nipples?"
He whines when I pinch one and lick his tip slowly. I chuckle and bite my lip. I bring my lips up to his and bite his bottom lip. It was sticking out in a pouting motion as his hips wiggled back and forth. My hand releases his as I attack his nipples again and begin stroking him. He moans as I stimulate his most sensitive areas. I was satisfied with every moan, whimper, and groan that came from his mouth as I kept going. I enjoyed getting to hear the full sound of it that only A's senses allowed me. My demon was growling inside me, demanding that I take him harder then I was. I stroke him fast and bite down on his nipple harshly. He starts to leak pre down my hand as he tenses up the slightest bit. His arousal smelled sweet to me. So sweet I wanted to taste it in my mouth. He chants my name over and over again, racking his nails down my back and side hard enough they could be bleeding. He bucks his hips and cums on our bare stomachs, making me let out a low groan. The sticky hot liquid drips down my skin as I sat up. Liam was panting as I licked my lips. I lean down to his stomach and trace my tongue along a trial of cum. He lets out a small vulnerable noise as I cleaned him. I sucked up every last drop from his skin, his cock getting hard once more. I wasn't going to even describe how tight my pants had gotten. I move off of him and lean back on the headboard again. I watched as he struggled to get on his knees and take off his tattered clothing. His cum was still dripping down my stomach and reaching the top of my pants. His shaking hand reaches out to the bulge of my pants and starts rubbing me through the fabric. I smirk and grab the back of his head, tangling my fingers through his hair.
"Don't you think you have something to take care of?"
He nods. "Yes Sir."
He leans down and starts to lick and suck on the skin on my stomach, tasting his own cum. I let out a low groan as I feel his tongue drift across my skin and leave a little trail of saliva. I tug his head up by his hair.
"Open." I demand.
He does so without question and I spit in his mouth. I watched as he blushed and closed his mouth.
"Don't you dare swallow until you have my cock in your mouth."
He nods and reaches for my buckle, his hands shaking in an excitement that I've never seen before. Once he has my dress pants undone he tugs it down and my dick springs free and hits my stomach. His eyes widen and looks up at me. I smirk and reach down to pinch my bulging tip, sucking in a breathe.
"I know it's big." I admit, looking up to him as he licks his lips. My veins were bulging along with my throbbing cock at the sight of his tongue.
"Safe word." I say quickly, grabbing onto his wrist as he reaches down towards my membrane.
He looks at me confused in his aroused haze.
"Tell me a safe word so I know if I'm going to far or not."
He only thinks for a moment. "G-Goku?"
I commit it to memory before grabbing the back of his head again. A switch being flipped inside me.
"You want to be my little slut?" I ask, my voice a deep growl as a low sultry purr emits from my chest. He nods his head and licks his lips again. I force his head down and slap the head of my cock against his tongue, biting my lip at the feel of his slick membrane. Then I push his mouth down onto it, moaning as he gagged on it. I could feel him swallowing around me as I kept him there. After a minute I lift his head up and watched as he gasped for air.
"Who do you belong to?" I ask.
"Y-You." He stutters, tears appearing at the corner of his eyes.
I pull his hair, making him moan. "Say. My. Name. No, scream it."
"A-Abe." He stutters out quickly. I could see him hardening and his cock dripping pre.
"Good boy." I purr. "Now make me cum you cock sleeve."
His mouth is back on my cock again, moving up and down sloppily. I growl and pinch his nose, bucking my hips into his mouth. Each time that my tip hit the back of his throat he gagged. His hands gripped onto my thighs as I fucked his mouth quickly. I released his nose and took his mouth off my cock. He coughed and panted.
"That's it. Breathe for me baby boy." When his breathing becomes even he is back down on my cock again, one of his hands fondling my balls. I let out a loud moan and pinch his nose again. Watching as he choked and kept going as much as he could. I start fucking his face again as I myself swell and prepare to cum.
"Fuck, fuck, fuckkk." I moan as I see his face turning a little red. I roar as I cum down his throat and fill up his mouth. I make him pull away and cover his mouth with my large hand.
"Don't swallow." I turns us over to where I was in-between his legs again as I hovered over him. Tears of pleasure ran down his face as he grinded against me.
"Open." I command. I spit in his mouth again. "Now swallow."
I bring his legs over my shoulders and watched as he panicked. My tip was right against his backside.
"W-Wait. I never done this.." He blushes and looks to the side. I stop my grinding movement. Liam was a virgin. If I had known this before hand I wouldn't have been so rough with him to begin with.
"Are you ready?" I ask. His delayed answer lead me to his hesitation. Before he can sputter anything out I move away and lay down beside him.
He blushes and looks away from me. "I'm S-Sorry."
I make him face me despite his embarrassment and caress his cheek. "Don't you ever be sorry Pup. Never be sorry. I will never do anything you don't want me too. You got that? Saying no is a big step and I'm proud."
I plant a gentle kiss on his head and bring him to my chest. I wrap my arms around him and kiss his forehead. We stayed like that for hours just holding each other. It felt right to me. Like he was a missing limb from my body and I finally had him back. Fuck him being my heir. I'll figure that out that part later. I wanted him to run my kingdom with me. With the same voice and power that I do. I look down to see his napping face and smile. I brush a strand of his blonde curls aside and tuck it behind his ear. He lets out a content sigh and holds onto me tighter. That's when I wished for a ticket into his mind. I wanted to know what he was thinking all of the time. Mostly what he thought about me. I take a deep breathe and close my eyes. I take in his scent, well, the one that was now combined with mine. I bring the blankets over us to canopy us in darkness. Right as my body started to calm down enough for me to relax there is a sharp and urgent knock on the door. I let out a low growl and get out of the bed, reaching for my lost boxers in the floor. The knock comes again but this time quicker. I head to the door and open it a crack to reveal Geoffrey.
"Quiet, he's sleeping."
He looked worried and that's what makes me stop scolding him. I step out into the hall and close the door.
"What is it?"
I could see his eyes twitching. "You have company Master."
"Who is it?" I ask, tilting my head to the side.
"They said they were government officials. They also said it was urgent for you and Liam to speak with them."
I nod and grab onto Geoffrey's shoulder as he turns to leave.
"If anything happens you take Liam straight to the lake house. Do not hesitate if you have to leave me behind."
He puts his hand over his heart and nods. The next few moments were quick. I went back to the bed and woke Liam up and made him shower as I dressed in my best looking suit. I was looking in the mirror fixing my tie when Liam comes in. He was wearing a mini suit himself but instead of dress pants he wore tight black shorts, thigh high black socks that had garter clips holding them up, and little clips holding back his hair.
"Who are these people anyway?" He asks, moving my hands away and tying my tie.
I look down into his eyes. "Not sure who, Geoffrey said they were government officials."
"What do you think they want?"
"I'm not sure." I start into my warning. "Whatever they want be careful. Be cautious."
He nods and looks to the door, a determined look on his face. I cup his cheek and make him look at me.
I smile. "For good luck?"
He giggles and gives me a peck on the cheek for before walking out into the hall. As one we walk down the hall, my demeanor changing as my mask fell on. We stop at the doors to the dining room, Geoffrey standing right outside of it. I fix my cuffs and look over to Liam. I watched as he puts on a brave face. I lean down and kiss him gently on the cheek before whispering in his ear.
"I'm only giving them 30 minutes."

:Liam:

Something about this made me uneasy. Like something bad was going to happen and I couldn't stop it. Geoff opens the door to reveal two suited men with at least 5 men and a woman dressed in black with masks. I look over to Abe in panic but it was too late. Abe the business man, Mob Boss, and King was there. I look back to the men in the suits. One was bald man with a blank face and a typical black and white suit. The other, who was old and graying, was a large man with a red and blue pinstriped suit.
"Gentlemen." Abe says, leading me to my seat and pulling it out. Once I sit down he pushes it in and goes to his own chair.
The bald one speaks. "I'm Justin Kravitz and this is Duncan Tracey."
His voice was as monotone as his face. When I look to Abe there is a recognition in his eyes.
"Address me as Mr. A." He says, leaning back in his seat casually.
"Mr. A, we have been getting reports of odd behavior. Mind telling us what is going on?"
"I'm afraid I have no recollection of what you are talking about." He says, his face not giving away anything. Hanna sets a plate of pie in front of me and ignores the rest. Her face was flushed and gave away her anxiety. The guest both look at each other and nod.
"Let's cut to the chase." Justin says.
"We know about the facilities and your time in them. We've come to take you back."
Before Abe could answer I yell. "No!"
I could use my power to make them forget they were ever here. Before I could even do any of that I could feel Abe's rush over me in a flash, making me not able to even touch my power. My head whips over to him.
"I thought I destroyed all the facilities." He says casually.
They avoid his comment. "You have a choice. Either him or you."
He points to me and I get up. I didn't want Abe to go through that again. I didn't want to live without him.
"Take me!"
Abe growls. "No. Geoffrey take him."
I look over to Abe and he gives me a look that begged me to understand, begged me to listen to him. I get up and go over to him as he gets up as well. I grabbed onto his collar and shook with fear. I felt like someone was tearing my heart into tiny little pieces.
"Please, please don't."
He cups my cheeks and whispers to me softly. His forehead resting on mine.
"It's okay Pup. I'll come back to you. I promise."
I shake my head, tears prickling the corner of my eyes as they trail down my cheeks.
"Please Abe."
He just gives me a sweet soft kiss before Geoffrey pulls me away. I whimper as I watched the men surround Abe. He was going willingly yet they were acting like he was about to fight. Then he holds up his hands in surrender and a high pitch zap rang out. No one moved besides Abe. He groans out in pain as they reveal the cattle prong in his back. The sleek black electric tipped weapon is pressed into his back harder. I scream as he falls onto his knees, where one of the masked men knees him. I could hear his nose crack as Geoff drags me away. He drags me away as I sobbed and tried to break free. I couldn't let them do that to him. The last thing I saw was them pushing him face first into the floor, his voice escaping.
"Liam, go!"
Geoff takes me outside and forces me into the car, jogging to the other side before driving off. The speed dial read 120 mile per hour. I didn't care about the speed. What I cared about was Abe being left behind to monsters. I look behind us as we clear the drive. I looked back to the house that had been filled with dreams come true. A house that was now filled with nightmares and screams.
"Please sit down and buckle your seat Master Liam."
I whip my head over to him, my tears running away from my eyes faster. Master. He said it as if I was equal to Abe. Or as if Abe was already gone. I sit down in my seat and curl in on myself. The one person that showed me love and compassion was now gone and out of my touch. I cry out my despair the whole ride. I didn't know where we were going and I didn't care. If he wasn't here anymore then what was the point?

Chapter 14: Abe

Day 5.

It might have been years since I was forced into a similar straight jacket but it still felt the same. I sat in the middle of the room I was put in, completely and utterly exhausted. They hadn't started any kind of tests but the amount of medications that they had forced into my system were unbelievable. The two men that were sent to collect me I knew. Kravitz and Tracy, both children of the heads of the original facility sites. They both made sure I was tossed around on my way here. Beside the little show they put on at the mansion but they had put weird bracelets that made my hands tingle. They made me not able to touch A's power. They had stopped multiple times to beat my tied up body. Cowards, all of them were. If I was untied, with or without A, I would've beaten them from one end of the room to the other. Then my mind drifted to Liam. His tears and sobs haunted my dreams. No they haunted my every walking hour. His red puffy face twisted in an agony that I didn't know was possible. I tried to forget that moment. The one where they had dragged me out to their truck as I watched Geoffrey drive away with Liam looking at me from the front seat. The door in front of me opens and a nurse walks in. Her scrubs to cheerful for the true nature of this place.
"Time for your next dose A."
I grumble at her, my throat raw. "My name is Abe."
She smiles. "Mhm."
She holds up a needle and I start to struggle in my vest. I hated needles with a passion. The reminder of them injecting poison and whatever venom into my skin had my mind going haywire. The vest starts to rip as she struggles to get a good shot of my neck. I snarled and snapped my teeth at her like I was a feral animal. More people in scrubs and white coats rush in and help hold me down. For that I got an extra dose. Once I've stopped struggling they moved away, watching as my vision went blurry. It felt like everything was underwater as I squirmed away. My movements were sluggish along with my thinking. Then there was nothing.

:Liam:

I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, I couldn't do much of anything besides look out the window. As if Abe would show up like none of this ever happened. Geoff was presistant though. He had sat plate after plate beside me to eat, and took away the untouched ones. If he wasn't doing that he sat in a chair beside me with a book and a set of tea. That's what was going on now, but instead I was laying on the couch, curled up in a ball.
"Tell me about him, stories of when he was younger." I tell Geoff, watching as he closed his book and looked at me.
"Anything in particular Master?"
I shrug and watched as he sat up straight in his chair.
"You may find it hard to believe." He says with humor and a small smile. "He had a terrible temper when he was younger. When I first brought him to the mansion he was throwing things, and breaking things."
"Sounds like him." I say softly. "What about the person before him? Was he a chosen heir as well?"
"Yes, Master George was before him."
I look over to Geoff. "What was he like? And how did he find Abe?"
He chews his lip and thinks for a moment before getting up. He goes to one of the drawers inside the coffee table and pulls out a thick folder. I sit up as he sets it on the table.
"Due to having certain... abilities and people whispering in his ear he heard about this young boy. A boy that had no name, no structure."
I open the binder to find pictures and newspaper clippings inside. The first picture my eyes settle upon is of a news article. It was over a small boy that lived in the alleyways of downtown.
"Therefore he had nothing to lose." Geoff starts again, staring at the page. "By the time we set out to look for him he had disappeared. Almost like he was a ghost. I personally looked relentlessly for this little boy wondering if he was just floating in the bay." He turns the page and points to an i.d. card. It was of Geoff. It said he was a part of 'Great Changes Test Facility'.
"You were there!?" If he had taken part in Abe's pain then why was he his butler?
"We had heard of his power, a dark brooding and threatening kind of power. Then Master George heard of these facilities. He had me inducted in secret and I only worked on Abe's case as a benevolent care taker. I gave him meals without sedatives, I even closed up an open wound of his once when they just left him to bleed. The day I had brought him home was like bringing home my own child."
I see his far away look as he replays the memory in his head.
"What happened to George?"
He shrugs. "One day, when Abe was 20, he called me to his room and he was packing a single bag. He said it was his time and he left."
I lick my chapped lips. "Geoff?"
"Yes Master?"
"Can I have some milk and a peanut butter and syrup sandwich?"
He chuckles. "Of course."
Then I determined something. I was bringing Abe back to me. No matter what it took.

~

Day 7: Abe

I roared in pain as they forced the leather gag in my mouth. They dug into my arms, right at the joint and into the bundle of nerves there. This wasn't testing, it was torture. With each scrap against my bone there was another scream. Each time that I blacked out they just injected me with adrenaline and woke me up to the pain. Sweat ran from my brow as my blood dropped to the floor. Like black ink staining quartz stone. Then the nausea crashed into me and I have to hold back bile behind the gag. I knew that if I let my stomach heave they would let me drown in my own vomit. Like a drunk bitch dumped in an alleyway with no life to look for. They pull away with a section of bloodied bone as I panted and begged for air. The reprive wasn't long before they moved on to something else. The person above my head whispering softly into my ear.
"I have something that takes away your pain, but I have to stick you with a needle."
I trusted no one in a place like this. No one would trust a demon that dragged you to hell. I grunt when a scalpel gets jabbed into my leg. This was something I never wanted to go through again, but if not me then who else? Liam would have died within two days of them prodding at his insides. It wasn't even a choice for him to take my place. I clenched my eyes closed and dove to the deepest, darkest part of my soul. Reaching past A's sleeping presence and to a place only I could reach. For all I cared, I was dead.

:Liam:

Geoff had jumped at my idea and helped me start forming a plan. The setback though was too great. We needed a map of where Abe was being held.
"Can't we just visit him and somehow get one then?"
"I've already requested and they said they needed a couple weeks to decide."
I look up from some papers. "When did you send this request?"
"A couple hours after we first got here."
I would be lying if I said I didn't cry myself to sleep every night. It helped that I slept in Abe's bed. How I knew this was the scent that was left behind and the clothing that was in the closet. Right now I was actually wearing one of his large grey plain tshirts. It smelled like him and it made me feel safe. Made me feel like that maybe he was just lounging in the other room.
"Then we wait." I say glumly. I go to the kitchen and take in a deep breath, wiping at my face to keep away the swelling tears. Geoff follows me and sets our tea cups in the sink and rinsing them off.
"I expect their decision to reach us any day now Master Liam."
I look up at him and give a sad smile. "I'm going to go shower."
I get out of the room as fast as I could and to the bathroom. I turn on the shower and started to undress. I get into the water and shiver at the coolness. It was like ice daggers going into my back but I didn't care. I slid down the wall and hugged my knees to my chest. I let my tears mingle with the droplets of the water as they ran through my hair and down my face. Then I left myself to daydream. Day dream about Abe sharing this shower with me. Day dreaming about laying on the couch and watching a movie. You think I would be used to this. Everyone that I cared about either left me or died. I felt alone in a already dark and lonely world. Soon I was shivering, my teeth chattering as my body tried to get some kind of warmth.
There is a knock on the door. "Master Liam, are you okay?"
When I rejected and answer the door opens a crack before opening fully. Geoff peeks in and sees my shivering form. He goes straight for a large fluffy towl before reaching past the clear curtain, turning the freakishly cold water off. He swipes the curtain aside and wraps me in the towl quickly.
"You'll catch your death by the tongue like that Master."
He hauls be out and wraps the towl around me tighter. I felt numb, and that's what I wanted.

Chapter 15: Liam

Day 10.

We got the okay to visit Abe last night. I was excited to formulate more of our plan but dreaded what condition Abe would be in. Would he be like a twig that could be blown away? Will he be bleeding and begging for his life? I memorized the twists and the turns as we drove to the facility. The drive there alone was a 3 hour trip that involved us going through back roads and small towns that I didn't know existed. We finally make it to a 's' curve paved drive, the tall pines that surrounded each side leaving it disclosed. Soon we pass white buildings with large windows. People in white suits lead others in blue jumpsuits around the grounds. Some of the people in blue had wings and horns. A person, who seemed to be about 8 feet or taller, even had a large scaled tail that trailed behind him.
"This must be the low security part." Geoff muses, and stops at a check point. Two men in black body suits greeted us.
"What business?" One of them asks, their voice a deep baritone.
Geoff answers, looking both of them up and down. "We were granted permission to visit a patient."
"Patient name?"
"Abe Rasnov."
One of the men go along the car, looking through the windows while the other brought out a pad and types in something.
"Patient A."
"His name is Abe." I say from my seat.
All I get is a look before he continues. "He is in the Maximum Security part of the facility. You will be put through multiple frisks for the safety of everyone here."
Geoff nods and gives them permission to look through the car. The whole frisking process took us and hour. The four stops had us get out of the car so they could pat us down and look through the car. I was getting irritated because I just wanted to see Abe. We finally park the car and go to the biggest building that I have ever seen. Not only was it tall, at least 5 stories, but it was bigger than Abe's mansion by at least 7 times. We stop at a front desk where a lady greets us.
"Hey guys! These two men here will lead you to the meeting room." She says, pointing to men that are beside the desk. These two men seemed different to me. They were in the same dark get up but they seemed gentler.
"Let's go." The taller one says, turning to the hall. I was nervous as we pass doorways and other halls. This place felt to large and too full of pain for me. I nervously play with my hands and bite my lip as we stop in front of a metal door.
"Abe is on the other side," A gaurd says. "He is fully restrained, touching him is granted but not recommended."
I don't give a fuck what was recommended or not. They swipe a key card across the scanner. As the door moves I see Abe and I wanted to cry. I cover my mouth as he comes into full view. We weren't apart for long but I could already tell how small he had gotten, not only that but they were treating him like an animal. He wore a straight jacket wrapped in heavy duty chains, his face blocked by a leather looking gaurd that covered his mouth. He looks up to me and his eyes seemed dead. Like they had killed his soul and left his body to bare an unfeeling end. I run forward and cup his face in my hands.
"Abe.." I whisper, watching his eyes go over my face and body.
"You haven't been eating." He says in a monotone.
I shake my head. "I can't eat without you there."
He looks back up at me again and a flicker of emotion shows up in his eyes.
"I've missed you." He whispers softly.
"I missed you." I let out a small sob as I hugged him to my chest, not wanting to let go. Even his own shoulders started to shake and he took deep breathes, almost as if he was taking in my scent.
"You have to take care of yourself Pup."
"But-."
He looks up at me. "No."
I brush some of his hair aside, seeing some distinct marks on his neck and scalp that weren't there before. I give one that was on his forehead a gentle kiss. I didn't care that people were in the room watching us. He lets out a weak sound and clenches his eyes closed. Almost like he couldn't bare the thought that I was here. Or that maybe this was a dream. He buries his face into my neck and whispers.
"Please be safe."
I pat the back of his head, holding him to me. This moment was bittersweet. I got to hold him again but I knew I had to leave soon. The door opens and he tenses up. I look behind me to reveal a nurse. She held a large needle filled with a purple liquid. Abe starts bucking and trying to move away.
"They already gave me a dose." He said, his voice barely above a whisper as he tried avoiding the needle.
"Wait! What are you doing!?" I reach over but I'm held back by gloved hands. I had to watch as he was injected right behind his ear. He groans and shivers in his seat as they pull it away. He starts breathing heavily.
"You bitch!" I growl.
She looks at me innocently. "His doctor demanded that he be put on more sedatives."
I watched as his head lolled to the side as he curled in on himself. He started looking sluggish as he looked up at me. They managed to bring the King down to his knees. I wretch out of the man's grip and go over to Abe, holding him to my chest.
"You really must go-." The nurse starts, looking at me nervously.
"Just let me hold him until he falls asleep." I snap back, turning my attention back to Abe. His body tensed up and relaxed repeatedly. Like he was fighting off the sleep.
"Liam, Liam." He said my name over and over again. I hushed him and brushed a strand of hair aside.
His breathing calmed and his eyes started to drift close before he forces them open again.
"It's okay, you're okay." I tell him, holding back tears as I do so.
"Liam." He whispers weakly. "Thank you."
I shake my head. "Please don't say that."
He was saying it as if he wasn't going to make it through this situation. His eyes grow to a close again and as they do he whispers softly.
"I-I love you."
I let out a sob and cover my mouth. "I love you too!"
I stay there a moment longer as he took deep shuddering breathes. Geoff moves me away gently, whispering something in my ear. A couple of nurses come in with a gurney looking thing and haul Abe onto it. I felt like I was being ripped apart again as I watched him being wheeled out of the room. We walk out after him and I watched as they took him the opposite direction of where we would be going. I hold in my remaining tears as we checked out and walked out to the car. One of the men following us. He stops both of us with a hand as he reaches into his ear and takes out his ear peice. Then he turns off his radio entirely. Geoff and I looked at each other confused.
"What do you guys need?" He asks gently.
"What do you mean?" Geoffrey asks, pushing me behind him.
The gaurd takes a deep breathe and holds out his hand in greeting.
"I'm Special Agent Walters. I've been sent undercover here to shut the place down. I was commanded to wait for you two to get here before plans are revealed."
Geoff looks to me before looking over to Walters. "Are you willing to meet us outside of your work place?"
"I get off in a couple hours." He says quickly. "We can meet in a diner an hour away from here."
I nod. "And bring a map."
We only stood there for another couple moments before we leave. My body felt exhausted from the back and forth of emotions. I didn't care, as long as I got Abe back.

:Abe:
•~•
Light filtered through the curtains as I opened my eyes. I was back home in my bed, alone. I sat up and rubbed at my head as I looked around. Everything was like it should be and I knew then. There was no way that I was here. No way I had made it. The bathroom door opens and Liam steps out, making me look over to him quickly. He wore my shirt, which was baggy and big enough to fall to his knees. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
"I didn't wake you did I?" He whispers. "You've been working so late and I wanted you to sleep in."
I look at him confused. "I-I was at the facility."
He pouts and get into the bed, hugging my head to his chest. "Oh, you had that dream again? Do you want to stay home from work today? I'm sure Geoff can handle some of the ledgers."
I look up at him, blinking and shaking my head.
"I don't understand, it was so real."
"How about we take a shower." He says, looking concerned. "Maybe it'll help?"
This was a dream, it had to be. I move away from Liam and his eyes start to well with tears.
"Do you not love me anymore?" When his tears into a murky tar like sludge I back away quickly.
"S-Sir, please."
I shake my head and fall off the bed as he crawls towards me his tears like acid as they hit the sheets and sizzled at contact. He crawls off the bed and towards me, his teeth starting to fall out.
"You said you loved me. You made me promise to never leave!"
My back hits the wall as he climbs onto my lap. He fingers started to turn into wretched, dark looking claws as they wrapped around my neck. I couldn't breathe anymore and I was struggling at the constricting force. I closed my eyes as I refused to answer him. Wake up. Wake up! I yelled to myself. I was not going to let this distorted dream bring bad light to my Pup. I wouldn't let it. His other hand draws up my stomach and plunges into it. I could feel them waving and wiggling around, making me wince and groan in pain.
"Liam." I groaned trying to push him away as my own blood pooled out underneath us. The walls started to groan and warp as tree limbs pushed their way through. I couldn't stand it. Couldn't breathe.
•~•

I wake up on the ground of my cell with someone shaking my shoulder. The moon was showing through the window giving me sight of one of the two good gaurds that I had.
"Hey." He says quietly, watching as I sucked in deep breathes. He digs into his pocket and pulls out a pack of cigarettes.
"Sit up and you can have one of these."
I pull myself into a sitting position and opened my mouth, waiting for the smoke.
"What do you want?" I ask as he holds it out, allowing me to grab it with my lips. He flicks on a lighter and lights it for me. I take in a deep breathe as he starts talking.
"My partner discussed some plans with your...um-."
I growl at him. "Family."
"Right, well, they came up with something to help take this place down."
"How long?" I take another puff and let the smoke out away from his face. He lights one himself and sits down in front of me.
"They said a week or two tops."
I curse under my breathe. I didn't know how much longer I could take. They already had to resuscitate me twice already. My body was exhausted and also assaulted me from within from how much that has been done. He holds up another smoke as mine burns out to the fag. I spit the butt end out of my mouth and go for the other one.
"I'll see what I can do." Is all I say as he lights this one.

Chapter 16: Liam

Day 14.

I paced back and forth as I go through every possiblity in my head. This plan had to be fool proof or it wasn't going to work. I just felt like something was missing. Like I had put together a whole puzzle and lost the middle peice. Geoff himself was studying the map like it was the Bible and he was a preist. Abe's room, his doctor's office, and the room they take him for testing was labeled and even had their own page for the lay out. Abe's room was on the far side of the U shaped building on the first floor. Walters also said the Abe had a habit of staying towards one of the corners, his favorite seeming to be to the left of the door. So he was able to see when the door was about to open and see out the window. I had a stupid idea. One that could get me caught but I didn't care. I had to see him again, even if it's just a glance. Geoff looks up from the map.
"What would you want for dinner Master?"
Since the day that we had left I had stayed true on eating at least a little bit.
I shrug. "Whatever is fine."
As he gets up I reach for the phone, dialing Walters' number. I know that he would be working right now and I wanted an update on Abe. He picks up on the third ring.
"Hey." He says quickly. "Now isn't a good time."
"What do you mean? What's going on?" I ask him quickly.
He lets out a weird sound that makes the hair on my arms stand on in. Something was wrong.
"Tell me what happened!"
"Liam." He sighs. "Don't freak out okay, but Abe...he had to be revived three times today."
"Why, what did they do to him?"
"You don't wanna know...he's just been out of it more than usual after that and he's had to have gaurds start posting inside his cell."
Geoff comes into the room, waiting for me to get off the phone.
"Why are they posted up in his cell?"
There is a long pause. A pause that I can hear my own heart beat.
"He has entered what we call a full self destruct. His body and his mind can't stand dying anymore so they're sabotaging him from within."
I cover my mouth and sit down on the couch. I didn't know that it was possible that someone's body could do that. This only meant that we had to get him faster. It was almost like someone wanted to have him die before then.
"H-How is he right now?" I ask quietly.
I hear some things go on in the background before he answers.
"He's laying in his corner shivering and humming something."
My head flashes back to when he sang for me. "I want to hear it."
"It's going to sound fuzzy since it's through a monitor." There is a few taps and movement. Then I hear him. His voice seemed tired and weak as he hummed. I knew why he did it, I didn't know where he got it though. He was doing it to ground himself, to calm whatever was rolling and scratching inside of him. I put it on speaker phone and look up at Geoff.
"What is he humming?"
He listens for a moment a d shakes his head. "I'm not sure. He's been humming that since before I met him."
I get back on the phone taking a deep breath.
"Thank you Walters." Then I hang up.

~

Day 23: Abe

I sat at the table and stared down at the food they set in front of me. It looked like mush mixed with garbage and smelled like shit. I've been on watch for the past however long. I was tired, so exhausted even moving a limb was starting to be a chore. I've became so lathargic that they didn't even put me in a straight jacket anymore. Just small silver cuffs were around my wrists like a woman's bangles. My so called doctor sat in front of me with his pen and pad, writing something down. It just so happens that my doctor was fucking Tracey.
"A, how do you describe your current condition?"
I look up at him slowly. "I told you, Mr. A or Abe."
He nods and writes something in the pad again, his pencil scratching the page. I let out a low growl and start to cough. My shoulders shook as I covered my mouth. No one even bothered to ask if I wanted water as I kept coughing, so close to dry heaving. Tracey writes as he stares at me like I was the most interesting thing in the world. When the coughing finally stops I pull my hand away to reveal gobs of blood. I felt hot and cold at the same time as the room started to spin. My throat was dry enough to rival a desert on its hottest day. I'm being caught as I fall over, fingers going to my neck to check pulses. I could faintly see Walters bolting out of the room without being caught. I'm being hauled up and dragged to a gurney. If I could fight I would have, but I had a distant feeling that I knew what was going to happen.

(For a little ✨Spice✨)

Walters:
I could tell what was happening as soon as he started coughing up blood. I send in a gurney before helping him get hauled up onto it. He is rushed to one of the ER rooms where doctors start to stick him with i.v.s, they started talking random nonsense when they put him on the monitors. The only reason why Tracy and Kravitz are keeping him alive is for the hell of it. They had made sure to put Abe on the high priority list. Tracey being his doctor and Kravitz being his head handler. Soon their conversation catches my attention as his heart beat starts to quicken exponentially.
"I think his demon is forcing a shift."
I resist taking a step forward as Abe started to groan and grip onto the sheets for purchase.
A woman in a lab coat presses some buttons on the monitor. "Shouldn't that mean we Pick through him soon?"
Pick. Having going through a Pick always resulted in the death of a patient. It was a long process where they harvest the best organs, if you were a female your eggs would also be taken, and males had their sperm extracted. So they could breed test tube children to test more on. So that only meant that our plan had to be moved up to within the next couple days.
"Tracey already said he wanted it done before the week is over."
I was grateful that they made us wear masks or they would see the worry on my face. I just needed to find a way to get ahold of my partner or just get ahold of Liam myself. Abe rips the sheets, his cuticles looking like there was black blood underneath them.
"Get me a sedative."
Nurses moved past us and out the door, running to get what the doctor ordered. Abe coughs again and black blood dribbles onto his lip. No one wipes it away. Soon there are three nurses with three different needles. One goes to his neck, another his side, and finally one at his ankles. They stick the sharp thick needle into his skin and Abe let's out what I can only describe as a roar. I remember the first time that I saw a picture of Abe. Hell, even just the first time that I saw his file. When he was younger he was sent between three different facilities, each one classifying him as their most dangerous. Even when he was as young as 10. He had this look in his eyes. Even when he put on the emotionless mask that most of his colleagues see. The look was of something dangerous. Something that threatens the world without the world knowing it. When I first got here I expected that look from him but instead I had found something else. Something had taken off most of his edge even though he didn't want to admit it. He was relaxed. Then I saw Liam for the first time. When Abe found an heir he had it practically announced it across the world. He had kept Liam so close that no one knew what he looked like, let alone knew where or how Abe found him. Everyone had built up the veiw of Liam as strong as Abe. I mean, Abe was the strongest person on the planet when it came to certain things and being heir meant you got that weight on your shoulders next. I didn't expect a skinny femboy that was the height of a 16 year old. Abe completely melted when he first saw him and it was then that I knew. Liam wasn't an heir. Liam might not know that, no one else might not know that. Abe lays unconscious his heartbeat still erratic as his chest moved up and down quickly. His fingers twitched over and over again as the doctors pressed more i.v.s and sensors all of his body. I take the time to take a step out and call Geoff's cell.

Chapter 17: Liam

Day 26.

Everything is set in place. The plan was thoroughly set and everyone was in place. Now that just left Geoff and I. We drove through all the checkpoints without even being stopped. That was Walters doing. He had convinced everyone that some other patient was a high risk and needed most of the attention. We stopped the car just short of the entrance and just walk into the front. The clerk looks up at us confused.
"What are you doing here?"
Before we get a chance to respond Hector sets off the bomb at the front of the property. Geoff makes me hide behind a couch as gaurds and doctors abandon rooms to see what was going on. No one even paid attention as the knife weilding butler quickly knocked the clerk out and propped himself on the desk like he was supposed to be there. Walters and his partner Thomas are the last ones and they looked a bit stressed. I mean who wouldn't, this was an equivalent to a jail break. Walters grabs my wrist and tugs me along quickly.
"We have to hurry, they had him on the table for a half hour now."
"You said he wasn't scheduled for that for another two days!"
He turns a corner quickly and swipes his card on the key panel.
"Fucking Tracy moved it up on a whim."
Geoff and I get into the room and I have to slap my hand over my mouth to keep from screaming. Bile gathered in the back of my throat as I walked on wobbly legs towards the table. On the monitor it said his heart was barely beating but I could also see it exposed from his chest. He was completely naked as certain incisions leaked with his thick black blood. He felt different. The authoritive air around him had changed to an inner choas that fought it's way past his skin. Geoff didn't miss a beat and looked in drawers for something.
"There is nothing here to stitch him up!"
I start to panic and I go to Abe's face, cupping it in my hands.
"Sir." I prodded. I needed him to wake up.
Walters and Geoff were talking in the background but I couldn't concentrate. I bite my lip to hold back tears.
"Sir!"
He opens his eyes slowly and I gasp. His left eye was normal but his other held A's eye. Like he wanted to veiw his last moments. His voice was soft and weak but it still has a deep gravel to it.
"What a mercy..." He whispers. "That they send you to cull me."
When he closes his eyes again I shake my head. "No no no. Don't close your eyes. I'm right here."
"Liam." Walters tries grabbing my attention. I shake my head again and rest my forehead against Abe's.
"We were..s-scared, until-l y-you came."
We. Even A thought he wasn't going to make it. Geoff's growl has my eyes whipping up to him quickly.
"Damnit boy! Get your ass up and shift."
"G-Geoff."
"It'll not only heal some of his major wounds and save him but it will save us."
Walters joins in. "Gaurds are surrounding the building."
Geoff grabs Abe's chin roughly and makes Abe look at him.
"Are you going to let them prove that you're just a lowly bastard?"
Abe growls at Geoff but it only encourages the old man.
"And are you going to let them take Liam and do the same? Typical of you to give up."
Next was a snarl.
"Get up and do something A. Do it now!"
I back up when I noticed his hands fully shifted. Get A mad enough, and he might break through the cell Abe had put him in.
"No wonder why you were street born-."
Abe roars loud enough that the glass breaks around us. I sheild my face as Geoff grabs me and starts to run. I look behind us and Abe was on his feet, breathing heavily as his chest knits itself back together as it becomes scaled. His shoulders stretched and became wider. His jaw cracked as his teeth grew. That's all I saw before I was dragged down the hall and into a suv. Like old times sake, Hector was in the drivers seat, checking his teeth.
"Drive!"
I stare at Geoff with astoundment. He was a whole different person then what I was used to.
"What about Abe?" I ask looking behind us.
My question was answered before Geoff opens his mouth. The building trembles and the ground shakes. Abe, or should I say A, busts through the front doors leaving a large hole in his wake.
"LIAM!"
Hector takes one look and pales before stepping on the gas. I had to watch as people surrounded A with guns and tranqs. Though it didn't seem like any of that was working. Each bullet and tranq just bent and fell off his skin like he was made of solid steel. Geoff covers my eyes as he bites a man in half and crushes another's face into the wall besides him. I should be afraid, but truthfully I was relieved.

~

I waited. I waited for Abe to show up behind the lake house like Geoff had promised. I counted the seconds until they turned to minutes until finally two hours later I see his large form fly through the air and land in the woods. I sprint off after him, not caring about the old man's instructions on staying away from A. I mean, this was his first time shifting in years. Once I make it upon a clearing I see A. He was large. He was at least 15 feet tall with scales covering every inch of his body. Tucked behind his back were 3 pairs of grey feathered wings. He was panting and pacing back and forth, almost like he was overwhelmed. Both his bottom and top set of teeth surpassed his lips and interlocked with each other, leaving a little drool coming from his chin. He senses me and his head whips over. I had to be careful. I played Geoff's words back over and over again. A won't let Abe through until he know for sure that everything is finally safe. So, with everything the both of them have been through I had to approach him like he could possibly hurt me.
"Abe." I say his name calmly.
A let's out a noise that I could only associate with pain. Even A mourned what his counterpart went through the last month or so. Maybe if I healed him it would be easier for Abe to shift back. I hold my hands out, making A's eyes widen.
"No." He manages out, his voice like a low growl of a bear or big cat.
I look up to him in concern. "Please."
He shakes his head and backs up, using his power to numb mine. I stomp my foot and pout.
"Cut it out A!"
His shoulders start to shake as his eyes start to water. I blink in confusion as I watch him sit in the forest floor and hold his head in his clawed hands. I go to him quickly and start to brush away his sweaty hair.
"Hey, hey." I shush him. "It's okay, you're okay."
He reaches out to me, his single hand able to wrap around my waist without trouble. He brings me to his scaled chest gently and envelopes me in a hug. I didn't know what to do or how to calm him down. I never made it past his hard exterior until now, so I just patted his chest and I laid my head on it. He shivers and shakes as he keeps his face out of sight.
"A, you have to let Abe out."
He shakes his head. "Not. Safe."
It sounded like he was barely able to speak.
"I promise it is." I say gently, making him look up at me. "It's safe now."
Geoff makes it into the clearing with a bag over his arm.
"You can't convince him. A is stubborn."
A rumble comes from A's chest as Geoff sits on a nearby stump and takes out a book.
"Don't worry Sir A. I'm doing simply what our Master has demanded in this kind situation. Everything, in fact, is in place and ready for his arrival."
I look down to A. "Please let me heal you. At least a little."
He shakes his head quickly. "Not...work."
I sigh and lean into his chest, letting him hold me. I wanted to be more of help to Abe and A but this is all that both of them would allow me. We stayed there for three days in the same exact spot. Geoff made sure that I ate but A wouldn't do much besides watch my every move. Like he was my gaurdian. I was sitting on the ground with his head close enough for me to brush my hands through his hair. Sweat and blood still pooled on his skin and ran off of it. I could see the battle between the two. His scales would sink back in his skin only for it to come back quickly, almost like they refused to go away. At one point I swear his eyes were back to his storm front grey. That split millisecond I knew that once he shifted he would be broken. The despair and helplessness that I had seen in those eyes made me want to scream and cry for him. On the third night I had fallen asleep on his chest, listening to his quickened heart beat like it was an ancient lullaby or even a distant war cry. What made me wake up was his body slowly growing smaller. I sat up quickly and watched as A shifted back slowly in his sleep. I started to see my Abe and I cried in relief. His eyes spring open and I have to get off of him quickly. His naked, sweaty body springs to life and runs towards the edge. I could hear him vomiting and ran over. I made it quicker than Geoff and saw the red blood and bits of human parts emerge from his mouth. I hold back my bile and thump on his back in time with Geoff. Soon he is just dry heaving and falls to his knees.
"We need get him to the cabin." Geoff says, hoisting one of Abe's thick arms over his shoulders. I grab the things we had accumulated in the clearing and followed them as the old man carries Abe along. Cuts, bruises, and puncture wounds start to appear on his skin. Glass and bullets slowly pushing their way out and falling to the ground. I was afraid because I didn't know if he was going to make it. Abe groans out in pain, falling off and onto the ground. Geoff picks him up quickly.
"Come Master Abe, time is of the essence."
The process was long and took hours to stitch and help Abe's wounds. He still refused to let me heal him which made it worse for me. I had to sit in the livingroom and listen as Abe yelled, roared and whimper as Geoff took care of his bleeding wounds. By the time that Geoff was done with him he had passed out. I stood beside the bed he laid in and covered my mouth. He hadn't been fed so he had gotten smaller. His cheeks and eyes a bit sunken in. I could even start to see his ribs. He also hasn't stopped shaking because of whatever emotion was going through him. He shook so violently that you would have thought the bed held some sort of vibration. Track marks went up his arms and even his neck, giving away untold stories of what they had done. He hates needles. He told me once that he hated them so much that it contracted his throat and his heart acted as if it would leap from his chest and tear itself apart. His chest rose and fell with a slight tremor of maybe fear or even the exhaustion of not wanting to live. Geoff comes in with a cup of water with ice, a straw sticking out from the top.
"He'll be healed up enough to go to the mansion in a few days."
I brush a strand of Abe's hair aside.
"Will he be okay again?"
Geoff looks over to me after he sets down the glass of water. He knew what I meant. I wondered if he will come back the same or if he would be different. I could only imagine what they had put him through all over again.
"It should have been me you idiot!" I cry out and cover my face as my tears fell. My lip trembled and I hated it so much. If I had convinced those men to take me instead. Convinced him to just forget me like everyone else in the world did. I feel a shift in the bed and a weak hand tug on my shirt. I move my hands and see Abe. His eyes were barely opened as he looked up at me. He still shook, even as he held onto the clothes hem.
"Don't cry..." He says quietly. "I'm here."
I turn and I ran out of the room. I couldn't handle it. I couldn't handle seeing him like that.

Chapter 18: Abe

"Liam!"
When I try to get up to follow Liam Geoffrey pushes me down. My stitches barked at the movement.
"I have to make sure he is okay." I say quietly, my voice barely making it above a whisper.
"I'll go to him, I'm sure he'll come back here in a few moments."
The old man bows slightly and walks out of the room and leaves me alone. I close my eyes and take a deep breathe, trying to calm my own heartbeat. I didn't expect this reaction. I thought he would still be beside me as I laid here feeling like a weak infant. I had almost died for good this time. Almost died without seeing Liam's face, but then he actually had appeared. I close my eyes as tears run down my face and dripped onto my neck. Now I was alone again. I clench my hands into a fist and turn over on my side. I hug my arms to my chest like I was wearing a straight jacket and hugged myself. I couldn't stop the salty tears from falling from my eyes. I was tired and I needed Liam. One was about to claim me as the other had ran away. My body shook as it continued it's confusion. I buried my face into the pillow as I started to cough on the knot in my throat. Hands appear on my back as they traced up and down. I turn my head and see Liam. He was back but he was still crying.
"Promise." He says through the tears that were running down his own face. "Promise that no matter what it is, we do it together."
I clench my eyes shut and take a deep breathe. Tired, sleep. My body cried with me.
"I promise." I tell him weakly. I reach out a shaking thin arm and swipe some his tears away. He climbs into bed beside me and kisses my tears away.
"I didn't think I would ever see you cry."
I laugh weakly and close my eyes.
"I'm just tired, that's all."
He kisses the stitches on my chest and traces circles.
"Go to sleep. You need the rest."
I shake my head quickly. "What if you're not here when I wake up? What if I wake back up in that place?"
He stops me by kissing me gently before pulling away.
"You're here safe with me. I promise."
I nod my head as I bury my face into his hair. It doesn't take me long to fall asleep to a totally dreamless sleep. This time though I felt warm and safe. Unlike sleeping on the hard ground I was still cold. I could faintly feel Liam moving his hand up and down my back slowly, but this time he was talking. That's when I sense someone behind me. It must be Geoffrey, but then again I feel another body of warmth. I slowly come back to the land of the conscious but keep my eyes closed.
"What do you two want?" I hear Liam ask in surprise. I move and get more comfortable with my head on his stomach as he sat up against the headboard. He takes a moment to make soothing noises and play with my hair before someone speaks.
"Thomas and I want to be part of your employment."
Thomas....the man the gave me those smokes and even a couple shots liquor. The other must be Walters, the man speaking.
"For what reasoning?" Geoffrey asks from the other side of the room his voice getting closer as something cool and wet is laid across the back of my neck. I let out a sigh as it send a coolness against my hot feverish skin.
Thomas is the one that speaks. "We would like to help him take down any stray undercover facilities, and after we could perhaps be gaurds for your mansion. Even do intel."
"This is really for Abe to decide." Liam says, his hand massaging my neck.
"Do you mind if we stay here until then?" Walters asks.
I let out a groan and open an eye, looking at all of them.
"Coming into a sleeping man's room is dangerous. Get out and get something done. For now Hector or Yui can handle the two of you."
Liam let's out a giggle. "They just had a couple questions Sir."
"Well, I would appreciate if they get the fuck out."
"Of course." They both walk out quickly. I wince when my body starts to convulse and become painful.
"Fuck." I curse. It felt like my heart was trying to tear out of my chest as I rolled over my back and put a hand to my chest.
"Abe?" Liam asks getting on his knees besides me.
"Fine, just hurts." I whisper softly and clench my eyes closed.
Geoffrey taps my cheek. "Open."
I open my eyes to see him holding some pills.
"What is it?"
"Antiinflammatories."
I sit up the best I can and take them. When he hands me some water I drink the whole glass before I lay back on the bed. I fall asleep quickly. Almost as soon and my head hits the pillow.

:Liam:

Abe practically slept for the next week without even waking up once. I sat beside him and watched as he occasionally moved in his sleep. I even helped Geoff feed him broth and ice cold water. It was even then that I got a little lesson in Supernatural Biology. Geoff explained to me that since Abe's body went from always experiencing agony or an illness his body was forcing him into a hibernation of sorts. It was to make sure that he was healed properly or just to make sure that he was going to be okay. He shifts in his sleep, taking a deep breathe as an arm reached out towards my side of the bed. I smiled softly and slid under the covers, propping his arm around me. He seems to relax more as he brings me closer to him. I trail my hand down the black stitching on his chest slowly. The red irritation around them has been fading ever so slowly. Geoff checks his vitals everyday and even massages his muscles. Abe's face scrunched up the slightest bit as he shakes his head. He was still sleeping. I look at him in concern for a couple moments before he starts panting and acting as if he was in pain. I get up, not knowing what to do.
"Geoff!" I yell for the butler. "Something's wrong!"
He runs into the room with Walters trailing behind him. Abe's eyes fly open to reveal A's serpentine slits. Without any kind of consideration to his master's broken body he flies up, tearing some stitches in his side.
"No!" He roars, his nails ripping the sheets as he balls them up. Geoff and I automatically go to his sides. He growls when we both get close, his eyes hazy and clouded.
"Don't touch him." Walters says calmly to both Geoff and I. "Don't touch someone in a flashback."
I look over to Abe and watched as he shook with fear. His side started to dribble blood as he panted more, mumbling something.
"Abe." I say gently, getting a bit closer.
His head tilts towards my voice. "Liam?"
I give him a reassuring smile. "Yeah it's me."
He closed his eyes and shook his head. Like he was in some sort of rejection.
"You said I wouldn't wake up here again...it's cold."
"I know baby, but feel everything around you. You feel the sheets?" I ask, watching as he moved an open palm across them.
"Yeah, yeah I do." He says quietly.
"Good, how about smell? What do you smell?"
He takes a deep breathe before letting it out slowly. "Someone's making tea... Geoffrey...you. Blood?"
I nod. "You broke some stitches when you sat up to fast."
I hear him swallow as he takes deeper breathes, trying to pull himself together. His eyes became less hazy as he became more aware. He takes a deep sudden gasp before leaning over the side of the bed, dry heaving on the hardwood. I rush over to him and rub his back.
"Shhh, it's okay. Breathe, Sir, breathe."
Geoffrey and Walters leave the room only for Geoff to return. Soon Abe is just leaning over the side, panting.
"No more." He begged. "No more."
I run my hands down his back more, watching as he shook.
"The doctors....the blood...cold."
Geoff started cleaning up after him as I bring him back into the bed, placing my hand over his bleeding cut. He looks up at me and he looks vulnerable, almost like he believed he was never saved.
"You're here with me now. It's okay." I whisper to him, watching as Geoff got his stitching kit together.
"Abe, we have to restitch your side okay."
He grabs onto my hand and closes his eyes. "Please don't leave."
"I won't, I promise. I need you to turn onto your side so Geoff can help you."
He turns over, exposing the ripped stitches. I keep holding his hand and whisper soothing things in his ear. Then he starts singing that song again, clutching onto my hand like a lifeline. This time though I could make it out.
"Mother save me for the morning come..." He groaned quietly. "Mother take me to the holy one."
Geoff takes the last of his wasted stitch out of Abe's skin and starts to thread the needle.
"Promise me that I'll have a bed of clouds. That'll take me from this town."
When Geoff pricks Abe's skin he winces and clenches his eyes shut. He takes in a shuttering breathe, seeming to forget about his song.
"Keep going." I whisper to him. "It's going to be okay."
He shakes his head and keeps going. "Tell me it's okay to love like I do. Mother tell me when." He grunts and grounds his teeth. "Tell me when I've met the one when the day is through."
Geoffrey was half way done restitching his cut and Walters had made his way back into the room again. Abe stops singing and looks up at me. He looked at me as if I was the only one in the room. Like I was the only one in his whole world and he didn't mind it at all.

Chapter 19: Liam

On the way back to the mansion I sat in the back seat with Abe beside me. He demanded that he wore his suit. Even though he ditched the vest and tie in the end and only allowed the jacket to me draped over his shoulders. He was holding his restitched side as he stared out the window blankly. He hasn't been talking much the past couple days and it worried me. Geoff and I tried getting him to talk as much as we could because of it.
I wrap my arm around his. "Do you need some water? Or a snack?"
He looks over to me slowly. His eyes searching my face.
"Hungry." He says simply, his voice like gravel as he spoke. I reach to the floorboard and grabbed the prepacked lunch box. Inside were peanut butter and syrup sandwiches and yahoo cartons of chocolate milk. I unwrap the sandwich and hand it to him with a smile.
"I made your favorite."
He takes the snack and sniffs it, another new habit, before he takes a large bite. He chews slowly as he watches me poke the straw through the hole. He swallows and leans down, taking a large gulp.
"Hey!" I say. "That was mine Sir!"
He cracks a smile and moves closer to me. Geoff looks at us through the review mirror with a cocked brow. Abe pinches a peice of his sandwich and holds it to my mouth, waiting for me to take it. When I open he places the soft bread on my tongue before I close my mouth.
"Now we're even." He says quietly.
I giggle, making him get a far away look. Before I could question him he blurts out:
"God, I missed you."
He wraps his arm around me and brings me closer, nuzzling into my blonde curls.
"You're never leaving my sight." He says quietly.
I huff. "Good! Because you're not leaving mine."
His chuckle was like a rumble in his chest as he holds me as tight as he can.
"My Pup." He says quietly.
I pinch another peice of his sandwich off, getting some of the sticky syrup on my fingers. Abe leans down and wraps his mouth around it. I could feel his rough tongue swipe the syrup away. He lets my fingers out of his mouth with a soft pop, making me blush. He tears what is left in half and hands me the biggest piece. I watched as he chewed on his slowly, looking out the window. We ate the rest in silence before Abe shifts to where he leaning against the door.
"Come here." He says gently, tugging on my shirt.
I look up him nervously. "What if I hurt you?"
He tugs on my shirt again and gives me a tired smile.
"Either you come here, or I there."
When I don't move he pushes me to the very end seat and lays himself on top of me until his head is resting on my stomach.
"You're acting like this is an R.V." I giggle, running my hands through his hair.
"Y'know that's a good movie." He says. "Geoffrey?"
The old man looks back at us. "Yes Master Abe?"
"Do we even own any r.v.s?"
He was being so talkative and I loved it.
"Um, no, I don't think so."
"We need one. I need to take a road trip with Liam."
I giggle. "What?"
He hushes me and closes his eyes, wraps his arms around my waist. Within minutes he is sleeping like a baby. Comfortably burying his nose into my stomach.
"I think we just witnessed a moment of delerium" Geoff says quietly as he takes one of our final turns.
I lean down and kiss the top of his head.
"Maybe."
When we make it to the mansion Abe is a bit different. I'll blame it on how tired he was. He swears only a couple more days of rest then everything would be back to normal. Well as much as normal could be. I take him back to his room where he sits on the bed and keeps a hand on his side.
"Pup, we need to talk." He says seriously, motioning to the spot beside him. I wring hands out nervously. What could he want to talk about? I go over to his plush bed slowly, having to hop on. His smiles at me softly and holds out his hand, expecting mine. I allow him to hold my hand gently, massaging circles into my skin.
"I felt this for awhile." He sighs. "For a long fucking while."
"What are you trying to say Sir?" I ask him quietly.
He looks up at me and the emotion in his eyes hit me hard in the chest. It was the same look he had given me the other day. The one that made tingles run from to toes to my ears. The one that sent gleeful shivers down my spine.
"I'm saying that you're more than an heir to me and that I want to start this... stereotypical romantic thing." He says hesitantly. I stayed silent for a moment trying to process what he was telling me.
"Abe, are you asking me out?" I giggle at him, biting my lip.
He lets out a playful growl, bringing a hand behind my head and tangling his fingers in my hair.
"Just shut up and say yes already Pup. We'll be late for our afternoon of lazy cuddles and Disney movies."
We both laugh as he leans in to kiss me gently. I never felt so happy in my life than this moment. The next thing we do is as he said. We shared a totally innocent shower, that involved me looking away most of the time. Abe was so self conscious of his new scars and cuts he didn't want me to see. Even though I had seen them before. Afterwards we cuddle in his bed and watched The Lion King on Netflix. Before we could even make it a quarter of the way through the movie Abe falls asleep. Which he apologized for when he wakes up during the credits. I never thought I would have something like this. Something beyond the money and luxury. Hell, something beyond the small one room apartment that I shared with my abusive drunk father. I had convinced myself that I would never see beyond that. That I would die in a bloody heap on the dirt under my father's torn boot. Instead I was found by a brooding man with a bad habit and the most entrancing blue grey eyes. I was stuck in them since we first saw each other. At first I thought that he was like every basic rich bad boy but once he allowed me under that surface I found something more. I found a man that loves his family, even if it only consisted of an old butler, an anxious maid, and his rag tag group of close allies. I also found a man that was vulnerable and refused to let that weaken him. When I look down he is looking up at me, smiling like an idiot.
"Abe Rasnov."
"Liam Greene."
Then we say in unison. "I love you."
