My most memorable teacher was my ninth grade math teacher. I struggled in school and appreciated anybody who really cared about her individual students. I had always wanted to teach because I loved working with kids and understood the struggles of being a student. My ninth grade math teacher is the reason I decided to become a math teacher.

My most memorable teacher was my high school math teacher. I had him for three out of my four years there. His classes were challenging, but his motivation and support inspired me to be a teacher. He always made real life connections and focused on understanding more than process.

My most memorable teacher was my Spanish teacher. He designed lessons where he would place different object in a box. The student had to place their hands in each end of the box and try to describe what was in the box but they could only speak in Spanish. I had many great teachers is high school but do not think I can tell you one other individual lesson they ever taught.

Mrs. Avila: My 10th and 11th grade English teacher. In 9th grade, I thought I was a great writer, but my teacher made me realize how much more I needed to learn. I bombed the class. Then I moved up to 10th grade and got Mrs. Avila. She significantly improved my writing capabilities, and I now consider my writing skills to be my greatest scholastic strength. In 12th grade, I had my 9th grade teacher again and was able to show off my improved writing skills and aced the class. It was the first real challenge I had in my life where that lasted throughout high school where I questioned and doubted my own abilities, and I was able to overcome that challenge.

A few teachers who made most of the class periods different each day. I didn't walk into the classroom and do the same thing everyday. They made the class fun, engaging and made sure they weren't the only voice. They always kept the students involved.

My most memorable teacher was my math teacher. To be honest, even though I am a math teacher, I wasn't a huge fan of math in high school, I was just good at it. I liked him as a teacher because of his personality. He was funny and entertaining and made it enjoyable. Go Q!

my favorite teacher in high school was my 9th grade English teacher. I really don't remember much of what we read or wrote about that year but I remember how inviting and down-to-earth she was with us. She treated us as individuals and (not as immature 14 year-old's). I think that actually made us act more mature. We were always willing to engage and discuss the material she presented
