I would bring the Mosquito Curtains so that the people will not get bit by the mosquitos at the camp

2. Hatchets

I would bring a hatchet incase we need to chop something for shelter.

3. Handsaws

I would bring Handsaws so that It would be able to cut wood to put into the fires.

4. Knives

I would bring knives for protection incase something tried to attack us.

5. Surveyor’s Compass

A compass would be nice because then we would be able to know where were are going.

6. Map of the Great Bend of the Missouri River

The map would help us know how rugged the land is that we would be traveling.

7. Blankets

The blankets would be good for keeping us warm during the winter.

8. 150 yards of cloth to be oiled and sewn into tents and sheets

The cloth would be used to make the tents for the camps.

9. 30 steels for striking to make fire

We need Steels for making the fires at the camps.

10. Telescope

We would use the telescope to see if there are any native villages around.

I would want to take Sacagawea because she knows the land and how to survive in the harsh conditions. She would be a good person to bring because she has been familiar for this land since she was 11 years old. Another reason that i would want to bring Sacagawea is because she knew what berries that they could eat, and which ones were the ones that were poisonous.
A Hidatsa raiding party had taken Sacagawea from her home in Idaho and from her people, ever since then she has married Toussaint Charbonneau and had a child. Two months after the birth of her son, Sacagawea left the Mandan and Hidatsa villages to journey west with the Corps of Discovery. And still, Sacagawea contributed significantly to the success of the journey. I picked this animal because Lewis and Clark said that they were very fascinated because they could dig underground villages. The tribe was located in North Dakota today. The tribe was welcoming but did not trust the Americans that well. Also, when Lewis and Clark met the Indians they met a young brave Hidatsa man to guide them on their journey to keep them away from their villages, there was a rumor spread around that said the Americans were planning to raid the Hidatsa villages. The only problem between them was that the tribe did not trust the Americans that well.
