Clear vegetation for agriculture, mining, etc. and replace with concrete, asphalt, etc. causing increased runoff, reduced infiltration to resupply groundwater, accelerated top-soil erosion, and more risk of flooding<br><br>3. Drain wetlands for farming/urban development. Wetlands act like sponges and prevent overflows of water. Removing them increases flooding.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
