1. My family was very formal. I do not remember making many jokes with them during my childhood.
2. My parents did not have time to make jokes with me as they were too focused on providing food and a roof over my head.
3. My family's attitude to the elderly was to be very respectful. They had lived longer than us and also provided for the earlier generation, therefore they deserved our respect. My parents would help cook for them while I would listen to every word they said and followed whatever commands they would give me.
4. Conflict was dealt with a very direct manner. If I caused trouble or made a mistake, my parents would state it our very directly and as well as instruct me on how to correct it.
5. Both of my parents made the decisions within my family. Either one may have had more say depending on what the decision was and based on their personal feelings on a subject.
6. I have no siblings. I was born during the "One-Child" policy. Meaning families that wanted to have children during this time were only allowed to have one child without being charged extra fees with every additional child.
7. Cooperation was stressed more than competition. There was never a time where my parents tried to have me compete against them.
8. I learned about religious matters mostly in school. My family doesn't actively practice a religion, therefore whatever knowledge I have about a religion comes from my edcuation.
9. I was rewarded by my parents when I did well in school. THey would sometimes take me out to eat more food than usual or to a restaurant that I really enjoyed. Other than that, maybe they bought me an extra toy or some other type of luxury product.
10. I was punished directly and swiftly. Depending on what I did determine the degree of the punishment. Sometimes I would simply get scolded or my parents would punish me in a more physical manner.
