Francesca Piccinini is an Italian volleyball player. She was born in 1979 in Massa. She has represented Italy four times (2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012) at the Summer Olympics. She was a member of the Women's National Team that won the gold medal at the 2002 World Championship in Germany. She was inspired to become a professional volleyball player by the Japanese cartoon Mimì e la nazionale della pallavolo.
She made her first appearance in seie A at the age of 14.
In September 2019 she announced her retirement but then she changed her mind at the beginning of 2020.
