After watching this video it has given me a almost new perspective on the situation. I hear many things about the hardship of adults and tragedy's with older people but never with kids. This really gets to me because I can relate to being the age of the kids and can realize what it would be like to be in there shoes more than I could with adults. Of course work breaks are not useless, it is inhuman for them to work the kids so much and never even give them a break, that's the least of what they could do.

Work breaks are not worthless for not just children, but women and men also need to have a designated time for an appropriate length of break. This is not just physically important, but also mentally. Being bent over or having to crawl around in a tunnel for countless hours has an obviously bad effect on your body and mind. You need to hydrate yourself regularly and have a snack to keep your body in a healthy condition to complete work efficiently; having no breaks allows for zero time for such an important matter! Breaks are very important for children, men, and women to keep your body healthy in order to perform your work!

Work Breaks are Worthless? I'd say that if you had long work hours, then you very much deserve a break. If you are tired, you can't work very well. I've stayed up very late doing homework, only to find that some of my answers were wrong the next day. Breaks increase productivity and are humane, whilst a lack of breaks could be considered counterproductive and cruel.

Work breaks allow the body and mind to rest after hard work. Having no work breaks is especially horrible in this situation because children at such young ages should not be working near that much at all. Often when working this much, the children, if they didn't die before reaching adulthood, would be stunted in growth and would not live to large years.

Work breaks are crucial, especially under the conditions in which the people were working in during the Industrial Revolution. In the conditions illustrated in the video, work breaks were likely the difference between life and death for many of the employees, especially the children who were working in conditions that might be worse than that of the adults due to their small size and ability to do jobs that the adults couldn't.

I think this is an interesting statement that was probably made by a factory owner. I understand where he is coming from and that his job is to make as much profit as possible. This man is probably a terrible person but a pretty well off entrepreneur. He mistakes in thinking that constant work will make more products, on some level that is true. These work breaks do have a purpose though and are important. There have been studies that show that when given breaks workers are more effective. In this case, this motto is actually detrimental to his profit and if he gave breaks he might prosper.

The statement "Work Breaks are Worthless" is basically saying like that if you take a break you are more of weaker individual than the other workers. However, I disagree with that statement heavily. Because us as humans have limits, we can't push ourselves pass a certain point. The is the purpose of a break. To go back and relax for a few and to come back to the job more engigers

All of this along with the facts they were given no breaks is just outrageous because breaks are necessary for the body and mind to recover after extended periods of stress.

"Work Breaks are Worthless". I think this is wrong because work breaks give you time to cool off and gather your thoughts before you get back to doing the same thing and breaks give you time to think about other things besides work speaking that work stresses some people out. After watching this video I think it's pretty sad that if you were poor and young you automatically had to work and some kids would get hurt and may even die because they have to work

In my opinion they are needed because after watching the video many people were tired and they needed a break. If the children took their own break they'd often be killed. Breaks are needed during work to refresh yourself in order to keep going through the day. Also kids shouldn't be working at such a young age because it's straining their body. These children were way too young to deal with heavy objects five times their own size.

People and especially children when working need to have breaks during the day. To begin with having kids work in general at such a young age is dangerous. Kids should be learning and playing rather then working long hours everyday, with no break whatsoever. We need to recuperate ourselves during those breaks and help us get back to a position where we can start working again. It needs to be a mental break where we can gather ourselves again and go back working better, without being drained of energy.

I believe that work breaks are good. I believe this because when you have a break, you get a mental break.
