Leadership requires mental and emotional integrity, a blunt and straightforward nature, and a yearning for the success of those around you. Those lacking mental fortitude become a waning presence in many situations, unsure of themselves, their thoughts, and their emotions. I agree that I am, and try to be, primarily a democratic leader. I do not seat myself above anyone in leadership positions, I do not talk down, or talk at. I ensure that my peers and I remain entwined in connectivity. I make sure quality, equal-platform discussion takes place at everyone necessary point in any labor process. As a leader, I often find myself constructing, in my mind, what I hope to eventually become of the task at hand, along with how my peers can fit into the labor that ensures we arrive at that vision. Inversely, I struggle with gauging my involvement and limiting my contributions.
