From Natalie: Just my two cents, but this is a huge undertaking for a group of self-selected teachers during PSD Learns. While I understand that changes need to be made, I would advocate for going through a thoughtful and deliberate 1-year process (committee work) and doing a report card overhaul rather than doing this work over multiple years in small chunks.

I have been through this process in several districts and found it critical to begin by determining the goal from teacher, admin, and input and parents. In my experiences this revision process took 18 months. We used the "accordion method" of establishing a goal(s) based on teacher, admin, and parent input then pulled a smaller group to craft our first draft to present back to the larger group for feedback.

e larger group for feedback.
