My last school that I worked out was home to all the Autism 6-8th graders in the district. Many of those students were in my co-teach classes and I got to work with them on a daily basis.

I was a long-term substitute in Spring 2017 in a 1-3rd Autism Classroom and I taught a 3-5th Life Skills classroom last year with students who had a variety of abilities. Working with students with Autism has been an adventure! I was always trying new strategies and was open for ideas that allow my students to be successful. No day is like the day before :)

I have a close family member who is autistic. In professional development, I want to continue learning about the subject. Especially since my long term goal is to teach Special Education.
