My target audience is interested in things such as clothing brands and gigs/tours. With this information, I decided to advertise these in my magazine. For example, on the cover, I tell my audience that there is a feature inside about "2015 Gigs & Tours". I also advertised the fact that there is a chance to win tickets to see Green Day live and to get their hands on merchandise. This would immediately catch their attention and hopefully make them want to look inside the magazine.

I wanted my front cover to really stand out against other music magazines and as I know that my target audience are interested in art, I decided to use bright and bold colours to make the cover look eye-catching and interesting.

Also, the artist I used is in the same age group as my target audience and she wears a similar style to grungy/punk clothes which I know my target audience usually wears. I did this so that my audience could relate to the magazine and feel like it represents their style.

Furthermore, I chose the main topic of the return of a former band as I thought this was an interesting and exciting story that my audience would want to read.

I also advertised clothing on my contents page. Again, this was the attract the reader and to inform them what type of clothing brands are featured in this magazine. For example, I advertised the fact that they could win £100 to spend at Drop Dead and I also added a picture of a Doc Martin shoe next to the page number that talks about Criminal Damage clothing.

I also wanted to show that other bands/artists are featured in my magazine. I chose well known bands that my target audience would also like such as Green Day, Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice And Men, Slipknot, etc. I did this to catch my audiences eye and I chose these particular bands to show them that these well known artists are featured in this magazine.

The colours I used on my front cover were also carefully picked. I chose colours such as black, red and yellow as they are bold and really stand out well against a white background. My aim was to make my magazine stand out amongst the rest and really catch the audience's eye.

My double page spread would attract my audience as again, I used the same artist on my front cover who I feel like my target audience can really relate to due to her grungy clothes and the fact that she would be in the same age group as them.

For the double page spread, I wanted to use a photograph that looked quite messy and non-professional. I especially like the rubble in the background. I wanted to include this 'mess' as I thought it emphasised the fact that this band was some how climbing out of the rubble which ties in nicely with my article about drug addiction.
