This part of the brain is responsible for balance and coordination. Without it I couldn't play soccer and spend time with my teammates and family. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 and have made so many valuable friendships that I still have with the people I met while playing soccer. Going through all of the ups and downs of soccer together creates a bond with my teammates. Even when dealing with the frustrating moments you always know there is someone going through the same thing you are. Me and my teammates have grown together and learned more about each other on and off the soccer field than most of the other people in our lives. The excitement of stepping on to the field and knowing that everyone has the same goal as you and is motivated just as much as you are makes me continue to love playing soccer.

This part of the brain is responsible for understanding language. I use it to read and write. Me and my friends all love to read we always find time in the day to read our books and talk about them. We all like the same genres so it's very fun to always have a recommendation. It is so calming to hang out and read together and having people that are interested in the same thing you are makes it so much more enjoyable. Sharing this interest gives us an endless amount of things to talk about and makes us excited to read. Also annotating the books we read adds to the fun. We all share books and when we annotate them we get to see how the other person is feeling at that moment which gives your. deep connection and allows you to understand someone else's thoughts in a different way. Im always happy to connect with someone and by reading the same books or even just reading together you can enjoy their company and connect with them at the same time.

This part of the brain is responsible for touch sensation registering what you are touching and sensing. This allows for me to paint and draw. Over quarantine I found that drawing was a good way to spend my time. I found myself doing it whenever I was feeling stressed out or had a lot on my mind. I continue to use this as a way to create something and to have an outlet as well as to pass time. It lets me escape whatever is going on in my life for a while and do something productive. I also would listen to music or watch tv while drawing or painting and it became something I look forward to everyday. To this day when I draw or paint it reminds me of the level of serene I had in quarantine when I had lots of time to find what I am passionate about. Although I may not be extraordinary at making actual art I have learned to enjoy the flaws in everything I make and am able to just enjoy it however it comes out

Responsible for hearing and gives you the ability to recognize voices. I recently found a love for listening to podcasts. Some of them help me learn about things that I am interested in and different facts that I think are interesting but most often I listen to podcasts that are relatable. I enjoy ones where they talk about their life and give advice and I can relate to their daily struggles. They make me feel like I am there with them and make me feel not alone in different situations. I find them calming to listen to someone else talk and when I drive especially I always look for a podcast to listen to. I like that they engage you without having to make you completely contemplate life. I find that the best podcast I have listened to connect to what is happening or what I am feeling at that moment. Me and my friends also listen to podcast together. We enjoy crime ones and like to have fun figuring it out or going through the twists and turns together. It had become our tradition to listen to podcast whenever we go somewhere and I now look forward to them.

It is responsible for decision making, personality, and voluntary movement. My frontal lobe lets me babysit and work with kids. I get to guide their decision making and show them how to make their own decisions and teach them important things. I get to spend time with kids and let them have fun while they show me how to still have fun when doing things like building legos and playing with chalk. Spending time with kids of all ages shows you how to forget what is going in your life right now and just play with them. Toddlers find anything you do interesting and even showing them simple things like a cartwheel or a dance is mesmerizing to them. Also the kids I babysit want to go outside and play no matter what. Making up games fir them to play is just as exciting for them as it is for em when I see the happiness that come from the smallest things.

This is responsible for vision (color, form, and motion). Me and my friends like to go on drives. We usually blast music and roll the windows down. These drives can last for hours because we love scream singing to every song. Sometimes we try to find somewhere a little further with prettier views on the roads. We talk about everything going on and just hang out for these hours. It is a boost of serotonin and makes us all happy to spend time withe each other and just hang out. We go as often as we can because it is time for us to spend with each other. We especially like to go at night because of all the lights and how much more quite it is. Usually we drive up to a high spot like a mountain and look out on the lights before driving down. It usually brings me back to reality when we do this because it takes any stress I had away to be with my friends doing something we all like to do.

This part of the brain regulates thirst and hunger as well as body temperature. Going to get ice cream after every soccer game or long day has become a tradition with my friends. We always find an excuse to go to yogurt shack and sit in the back of someones car and hang out with each other. It has become important to us because we do it after a football game or soccer game and we have come to realize we only have so many left. We feel like we may not be able to do this enough times in all of highs school and have been spending more time sitting in the back of a car with ice cream because of it. As we keep doing this more people join us and as we make more friends they come too. It's become exciting to find new people to hang out with and we get to have fun with new people. We started doing this freshman year and now every time we go there we end up reminiscing about all the different times we have gone or all the times we have left.

The Hippocampus helps us remember long term memories. I have so many good memories of playing in the sun as a kid and hanging out with my cousins and siblings. I cant imagine not having these memories of people I haven't seen in a long time. When I was little I would always get smoothies on my way to soccer from about 4 to age 14 with my dad. No matter the weather or how I was feeling that day it would always encourage me to play soccer. I was always excited to spend time with him and i'm so happy I have these fond memories of my early soccer years. Even before my brothers baseball games and after me and my sisters gymnastics we would get smoothies or ice cream. Even though it was so long ago I still get nostalgic when I see kids climbing in trees at parks and eating ice cream on Saturdays. The time I spent with my siblings before we grew up will always be so important to me especially because we will never experience having that much time together again.

Serotonin Controls our mood by telling our brain what it needs to do to be happy. Going to concerts with my friends gives me serotonin. We always have fun because we see the artists we love and get to experience this is extremely exciting and overwhelming feeling together. Listening to all the songs you have been loving for years like Harry Styles's concert. Me and my friends spent the whole night screaming his songs and didn't stop smiling until it was over. We were so much star struck that we barely even remember the experience but we still look back on the videos because of how thrilled we were to see this. Even though this happened a while ago we still talk about the excitement that went along with it to this day. Every time I hear a Harry song I think about this moment and what I was feeling. I get a rush of happiness just by being reminded of the night. Me and my friends continue to get more concert tickets to other artists we like because of the positive outcome we had at the last concert.

Regulates our emotions and attention as well as our ability to learn and focus. Me and my friends like to shop very often. Almost every weekend we end up doing some sort of shopping. Usually we go to the mall but occasionally we will thrift or go to vintage stores. It had become as routine to go somewhere on the weekends. We also have started going to farmers markets and even buying foods and flowers. It shows that we get instant gratification from shopping because it is a reward to buys something. When you find something shopping that you really like you get a rush of happiness and when you buy it it is the same feeling. My friends all love to shop because of how fun it is to buy new stuff and feeling instant happiness when you get something. We usually look around in a lot of stores and buy something in a couple of them. When we thrift it is a whole process because you have to look very hard to find something you really want but when you find it it is so much more rewarding than shopping.
