Reflection #1 - Learning Styles

I think most memorable fact that has stood out to me has been the information concerning learning styles. I have a master's degree in adult education and I currently work in adult education. Through my training, work experience, and education, this fact has been that I have always thought was true. After reading on neuroplasticity and understanding its affects on the brain, I know see that learning styles is untrue.

Now that I know differently, I can apply this to my job as I work with adult learners. Instead of "preaching" that a person has a particular way to learn, I can know advise students that they can learn from different forms.

My other memorable fact has been the readings on neuroplasticity and how the brain responds to new knowledge. I have found these readings to be fascinating.

As I stated before, I can relate this to adult education learners on job. Many thing that they are too old or that it is impossible for them to learn something new. When they say these things, I always tell them that it is not true. Now, I have information to support what I am saying.
