This is a forum of those discussing experiences they had had when it comes to colored hair. Many explain how they believe they are less likely to receive a job when interviewed and some even speak of past experiences where they have been fired. A few also go into detail why they believe they failed interviews due to their colored hair.

This website talks a bit about interviewing tips. It is recommended that "pink" hair is not the best move for job interviews and that first impressions really matter. The website does admit that its view on things is conservative.

This is a copy of the Chik-fil-a handbook that was provided by a redditor. It clearly states that both shaved hair and colored hair are unacceptable in the workplace as they may distract from ones person. Chik-fil-a prefers to display a more natural look amongst its employees.

This article from yahoo news tells of a dedicated teacher who decided to dye her hair for her students. She had promised to dye it for them if they performed well on their tests. She was delighted to hear that her student's test scores actually improved 16% overall. Students and parents showed their support for her as she had paid for the transformation herself and set up an appointment with her stylist to complete her daring look on the football field with her class.

This video goes into depth on why teachers should be allowed to have their hair colored. The video is made by a teacher and talks a bit about some pros but also past experiences. She explained past interviews and even past jobs she has had. One of her key points is that hair color, tattoos, and piercings simply do not affect your performance in the workplace.

This is a Fox News article but the entire convo is linked here and can be found on twitter. It is a story about a girl who was fired from her job because of her hair color but many gave their support to her. She spoke a bit about her mental health and that colored hair simply makes her feel more comfortable. Many responded and felt for her and spoke about their own experience with dying their hair. For some it makes them more confident and help them express themselves.

This is just a bit of what I have to say on the topic. I am using my self as a pro source. I talk a bit about my research for this project but also past experiences with my hair. Much like the story above this clip, I simply feel more comfortable with my dyed hair. My hair was often made fun of in school so I decided to start dying it and was overwhelmed with the positivity I received.

It it recommended here to always do your research when it comes to jobs as some may allow for some funky expression while others are not ready to make the jump.
