I learned a lot throughout taking AP Lang, whether it is rhetorical choices, the structure of a suitable essay, or how to always win an argument but it also taught me a lot mentally. I learned how to be committed and consistent. I know I improved throughout the whole year even if it wasn’t as productive as my fellow classmates. Of course, I experienced difficulties when taking this class; being my first Ap class ever. The main problem I faced often was “ writer's block “. This class was mentally struggling but I pushed myself to become an amazing student. My goal from the beginning of the school year was to only pass the class, but not only did I do that I also found myself being passionate about what I wrote. I remember at one point I was failing and it bothered me since I knew I could do better and from that moment on I decided to be determined. As soon as we had a unit about argument essays I felt so eager to write one and improve from it. Throughout the argumentative unit I would write my arguments with commitment. I would see my scores being higher than any other and it kept improving slowly, I would then revise my work to become a better writer. I would turn in essay after essay becoming more perfervid to write than ever in my life. I believe revisions played a big role in the way I would interpret my choice of words. The way I focused on this class in second semester compared to my first semester is impeccable. Even after this class I would love to see even more improvement in my writing.

From the first day of Ap Lang, I knew this would be a whole different experience to me than compared to an average highschool class. Taking in new formats and rhetorical choices confused me at first. But overtime would understand it's role.

While brainstorming throughout this rhetorical analysis. I struggled in with rhetorical analysis. Especially through different writing skills that made up my rhetorical essay. For example this assignment shows my lack of skills. Since I was new at writing an intentional essay, finding myself in pool of struggle. But overtime I improved in my rhetorical analysis, using secure rhetorical choices. Later on in life I will be able to use these skills I developed to decipher future speech's or articles that touch me dearly.

I developed how to write a thesis. My " Dr. Melissa Brown Introduction and Thesis" was the beginning steps into forming a rhetorical analysis essay. Learning the basics to build a thesis was difficult to me. This would later on become a habit to me throughout my whole year taking Ap Lang.

When winter break was around the corner, I found myself struggling mentally while doing essays after essay. I would just turn in my assignments without any effort. Once second semester started, we started the argumentative unit. I developed new strategies on how to debate and argue. My " Ethics Argument Letter " written in a simple argumentative letter. From writing this argument, I felt so passionate to write about argument. Throughout my writing I believed I was amazing at arguments. This would benefit my future assignments, giving me a sense of confidence. The reason for this was studying skills in my free time instead of procrastinating was good for my grade. I wanted a change in the way I wrote.

I developed a unique technique on how to win an argument. My Rogerian Essay about adversity really envisioned the way I write from that day on. I learned a different technique on argument being, persuading the audience you agree with certain factors of their beliefs. This strategy would later on be used a lot throughout my writing journey, especially in my future assignments. These skills can help me develop counterarguments the audience may accuse me of. Which is why you always think and believe what appeals to their sense of mind.

After all the adversity I had faced along my writing journey, I became a better writer. I believe other's may disagree but I am aware I have grown in my own way than anyone else. Which is why after writing essays, everything became so regulated it all turned into a habit of mine. Brainstorming, writing, arguing, commenting, explaining it all became worth it at the end. There I am finishing my first AP Lang class. It felt so long but short now that I think about it. It was a mix of emotions for me throughout my whole year. I am just waiting for the years to come to see myself become better than I am now.

This assignment was challenging for me to piece to work together. But I would find myself looking back at notes to see any improvements that needed to be done. While writing this essay everything just felt so smooth running through my head. Compared to my rogerian Essay it wasn't the same. This felt strangely amazing. But my main factor while writing this essay was free writing than, revising and minimizing the usage of words. This was a habit I picked up slowly throughout my journey. I felt so proud of writing this essay. This same essay being my highest graded essay overall. This would give me a sense of accomplishment, to finally efficiently write this piece.
