2. Lord Henry has not yet met Dorian, but based on the handsome man he sees in the portrait he assumes that he must be brainless. 
3. Dorian Gray falls in love with Sibyl Vane for her appearance and shows no interest in who she truly is as a person. 
4. Dorian Gray kills Basil, because he painted the portrait that is the source of his fear of losing his youth and beauty. 
5. Dorian stabs the painting with the knife and inadvertently stabs himself ultimately leading him to his death.
