The projects and challenges allow our learners to develop communication, team work and leadership skills as well as getting involved with diverse groups in their community. For the projects our learners will plan, raise sponsorship money and ultimately create something useful for a community group – for example a play area, a sensory space, a redecorated social room, a wildlife garden, etc. For the challenges our learners will facilitate an activity directly for a group – for example distributing welcome packs to asylum seekers, running a treasure hunt for children, or a games afternoon at a care home, etc.

BHBH also provide free training sessions for employees and/or volunteers working  with the public to help them spot the signs of fuel poverty, understand the causes & learn more about the different grants available.
