Originally a Dacian settlement, later incorporated into the Roman Empire, Sebes (Mühlbach in German), was settled by the Saxons immigrants, in the 12th century. First documented in 1245, Sebes flourished economically and politically during the middle ages, serving as an administrative town for the region for more than five centuries between 1308 and 1876.

Romania is a country in Europe, located in the eastern part of the continent. Romania is also known as the Carpatho-Danubian-Pontic country. This fact is due to its geographical location, on its territory the Carpathian mountain range, the lower course of the Danube, as well as its location on the western shore of the Black Sea. Romania is a semi-presidential republic. The legislative power is represented by the Parliament of Romania, which is bi-cameral, made up of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Executive power belongs to the Government of Romania, whose leader is the Prime Minister.
