I grew up for 8 years of my childhood (4 - 12) in Australia. My dad's job in construction management allowed him to travel around the world and my family decided that when he got the offer to Australia, my younger sisters, mom, dad and I would all travel together. A lot of my values come from Australia, and how I present myself as a person today was greatly affected by how I grew up. Australians are very outgoing and always speak their minds, if something doesn't work out or make sense, I have never had trouble stating that issue. From when we moved to Australia to when we decided to pack out things and leave for the States, I had always been involved in tennis. I told my mom that I will seriously be the next Serena Williams, as she was the rising star when I was little. However, in 4th grade, I decided to take up poetry outside of school because my cousin told me to join her. That was my first experience in the theatre world, and I fell in love almost immediately. I loved the attention one got when performing and loved how competitive it was too. However, my dreams weren't solidified until my very first 1st place award I got in the Brisbanes Esstedford poetry contest. I knew at that point, acting and theatre would be my dream and tennis just became a very happy hobby of mine. I moved to America, and they did not just have poetry contests, but acting classes in middle school and full-on high-budget performances in high school. I have enjoyed the theatre world, where I can be expressive and loud, state my opinions and critique others, and support my friends and my future. This is the world I have enjoyed the most.

Aspiration and Goals

As I grow older, my aspirations and goals become more and more detailed as there is so much more that I learn as I grow. When I was in 5th grade, when I was asked what I want to be when I grow up, all I wrote was an actress. However, there is so much more on my mind now than just actress. Being an actress to me means growing up honing my craft at acting, getting to know new people every chance I get, and making so many friends that also have the same dreams as me and who I can bounce ideas off too! I also realize that I don't need to be stuck in just the theatre world too, I have a huge passion for languages and learning new cultures. Over the years of high school, I slowly became more and more passionate about learning languages, traveling the world, gaining new knowledge, and trying out as many new things as possible. Also, I have new goals that my younger me enjoyed that I kind of tossed away at some point. I loved paleontology and learning about Dinosaurs, and have found a new love about it now too, and being at a University and taking those types of classes that I enjoy, my happiness scale increases for all of my loves and hobbies. Goals from when I was younger and even goals I am creating now, those aspirations, in my opinion, never truly die out even if you try as hard as you can. If you truly enjoy the people and the work around you, those things will follow you until you pass away, because that is just who you have created yourself to be. I love following what I desire, doing things I love, and finding friends who do the same, creating a life that I am excited to be apart of every day.

Progression

My progression in everything that I do, allows me to be who I am today and strive for an even greater me every day. I think that being able to not just being able to write down and kinda think about critiques or goals will help me progress, but also be able to feel each critique, continue to work on it, and let my body and mind overtake the new ideas allows me to truly feel like I have progressed. I do this by practicing, and creating preparation for many things, like looking at what I can work on, even if no one has said anything, and just spending time reworking it myself. Whether that is a monologue or scene in class or even just studying for an exam for a non-theatre class. There is always room for progress and I love that aspect of life so much. I think that there is a progression even in just everyday activities, talking to friends, ordering food, and time management too! Even now, I still have so much to accomplish but being able to take things one little progression at a time, overall, has allowed me to feel so much greater about my skills in general. I continuously strive not for "perfection" but for getting out of my comfort zone until that is my comfort zone and then getting out of my new comfort zone, and so on and so forth. I take every little critique seriously and hope that even 30 years from now, I am still using the mindset for the greater good of me. Always striving for more reachable goals that bring me more and more happiness as I move along. And it is not just me that allows myself to do this, but my friends that think just like me and help push each other to try and expand ourselves at a perfect pace. One day, my friends and I will continuously be unstoppable.
