Because most gases are difficult to observe directly, they are described through the use of four physical properties or macroscopic characteristics: pressure, volume, number of particles (chemists group them by moles) and temperature.<br>Forces of Attraction:(inter molecular Forces)<br><strong>Forces of Attraction:<br></strong>Two factors determine whether a substance is a solid, a liquid, or a gas: The kinetic energies of the particles (atoms, molecules, or ions) that make up a substance. Kinetic energy tends to keep the particles moving apart. The attractive inter molecular forces between particles that tend to draw the particles together.</div>]]></description>

         <title>How is matter classified? - Matter is classified between mixtures and a scientific state of being Pure.                                    What is the difference between pure substances and mixtures? Pure is put together by elements(oxygen and Carbon) and a Compound (H2O and Sodium Chloride).  What is the difference between elements and compounds?                                                                             In this case the Elements are a Covalent Bond and In this case the Compounds is a Ionic Bond.                                                                 What difference between the two types of mixtures? Homogeneous means &quot;the same thing&quot; so when you talk about a Homogeneous Mixture you are basicly mixing the same thing like water and air so you are  mixing a bunch of uniformed compositions and properties throughout. </title>
