"Nature and Nurture Debate"
https://explorable.com/nature-vs-nurture-debate
- It is hard to conclude whether a person's development is because of DNA or if it is mostly influenced by life experiences and environment.
- Both nature and nurture play important roles in a person's life.
- What is unknown is whether we are developed due to nature or nurture.
Nature
- Nature deals with traits we inherit from our parents and family members.
- One big debate is whether there is behavioral genes. For example, kids whose parents were aggressive or divorced often have the tendency to act the same way when they are older.
- Some debate that you can prove behavioral genes by looking at fraternal twins. For example, when fraternal twins are reared apart, they show similar behaviors and responses as if they had been reared together.
Nurture
- This theory says that the environmental factors are the real origins of our behavior.
- You could train a baby to become a certain way as they grow up.
- This would involve ignoring the child's potential talents and their race and instead raising them in a very specific way.

Nature vs Nurture mental health affects.
http://www.goodtherapy.org/blog/psychpedia/nature-versus-nurture

Nature Mental Health Affects
- Proven to be an important factor in the development of some mental health conditions.
- It is not the only factor for the development of mental health conditions. Ex: twins. One twin could develop a mental health disease and the other twin only has a 50% chance of developing it.
- Studies also show that addiction is more likely in a child when they grow up if someone in their family was previously an addict.

Nurture Mental Health Affects
- Growing up in certain environments can affect your personality in different ways as you get older.
- Some think that addiction is part of nurture and not nature.
- If a kid grows up in a home with a parent who is an addict they have been exposed to this behavior for years and may follow the same behavior when they grow up.
- Traumatizing events in ones childhood could lead to mental illness.

Nature V Nurture
The Nature V Nurture argument is about Natural human behavior versus behavior caused by experience or environment. If a good person becomes evil the reasons for that event taking place are almost infinite. A reason that nature could be a factor is if the person has a family history of mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and bipolar. A reason that environment can play a role in this could be childhood traumas like growing up around people that had evil thoughts or did evil things. An article states: "Researchers at the University of Liverpool recently found that while a family history of mental health conditions was the second strongest predictor of mental illness, the strongest predictor was in fact life events and experiences, such as childhood bullying, abuse, or other trauma, supporting the idea of nurture’s significant role in the development of mental health issues" (GoodTherapy).

Our DNA and our own life experiences bring out questions as to how much we have inherited genes. Arguments are mainly based on how much we are shaped by genes, and how much by the environment.

The nature theory:
Genetic predispositions or "animal behavior" are why some scientists think people behave. Heredity has been a big piece of evidence to back up this theory, as traits such as eye color and hair color are determined by specific genes encoded in each human cell

The Nurture theory:
Supporters of the nurture theory do not believe that genetic tendencies matter, and that the environmental factors of our upbringing are originated from our behavioral aspects. The most crucial evidence for this is based on the studies of infant and child temperament.

Although many don't see a difference between the two they are very contrasting concepts. Someone's nature could be viewed as how they looks. On the other hand, nurture is how one acts and behaves. A very old and fired debate is about these topics. The big question is is someone born with DNA which will control how the look and act or if one learns through life experiences. Nature and nurture both play very important roles in one's life, but which one contributes more?

What makes good evil?
Many everyday people give into peer pressure and "orders" about how to act. These people follow their orders and commit bad deeds. In today's world this scenario happens too often.

Nature is when someone is born one certain way, which means that people get their traits from their parents.
