Along with school, I have fallen into a path of coaching middle school children volleyball. I have been doing this for 3 years now. It is so fun!!! We are a travel team which means we go from state to state competing. Being able to watch them grow over the season is beyond rewarding. I have been coaching some of the same girls for 3 years now, and being able to build these connections and bond with them is something that I have never experienced before.

My name is Hailey! I am a Sophomore at the University of Arkansas, and my major is elementary education. I am also a Pi Beta Phi here which our philanthropy is children's literacy. By being a Pi Phi, I have been able to be in several elementary schools volunteering throughout my time here already. It has truly made me fall in love with my major all over again! Last year, I did a program called lunch buddies. I was able to see my buddy once a week and it was truly the sweetest semester.

Growing up, I have lived with my grandparents over half of my life. They truly have shaped me to be the person I am today. When deciding where I wanted to go to school, I picked Arkansas because I was scared of leaving my grandparents, not because of distance but because I did not want to miss out on their lives. I am from Rogers, Arkansas which is about 20-30 minutes away from Fayetteville. My whole high school is hear for the most part as well lol! But being at Arkansas and in Pi Phi I have truly found my people and I am so grateful that I made the decision that I did!!
