I especially love skiing and snowboarding, and love being in the mountains. In the summer, I spend a lot of time hiking, camping, dirt biking, mountain biking, and just about anything else outside. I also love music, and enjoy playing the guitar, piano, violin, and love to paint and draw. I learn best kinesthetically, and love doing projects, labs, and other hands on work. I can be a mix between introverted and extroverted. I can be quiet when I’m first meeting someone, but I also love being around friends and taking to people as well. I tend to keep pretty busy, and am involved in many different clubs and activities and I also work as an assistant in my familys  dental practice. I am involved in many extracurriculars. I’m am a member of FBLA, RLC, SRL, EG Boulder, and am an SCLA ambassador. I was also recently elected for the presidential position in SCLA. I love and am passionate about helping other people, which is part of why I love SCLA. I want to go into the medical field when I’m older so I can continue to help people and give back. While I’m not completely sure what I want to do for my capstone project, I believe I want to raise medical equipment and toys/clothes for kids and families in Guatemala. There is a volunteer dental clinic that we’re going to to help kids and families who don’t have access to dental care, so I would be able to also help those kids with other basic necessities such as shoes and clothes that they don’t have much access to. With COVID-19, however, I am not sure if I’m going to be able to do so anymore, so I am in the process of working this out. Besides going to school I like to spend my time mostly outside enjoying the mountains. I really really enjoy skiing and I am getting into mountain biking. I am on a Big Mountain Ski Team for Winter Park and I also race for Nederland High School at Eldora. I play soccer as well for the school and club. I also will be trying out the Creek mountain biking team. I would say I learn best with hands on learning, and collaborative work where I can ask peers questions. I consider myself a visual leaner and often do well if I can read instructions rather than being told. I would define myself as someone that is right in between being an extrovert and an introvert. I enjoy being creative. I create a lot of paintings and drawings as well as graphic things/video edits. I am most passionate about doing things in the outdoors with my friends. Whether that is skiing, biking, camping, backpacking, the list can go on and on. I love the passion and the energy that comes from enjoying the outdoors. For my capstone I want to incorporate this. I have two ideas currently. The first one is creating an outdoor education program for silver creek so we can have those amazing outdoor opportunities for all. A community based off of the love for the outdoors. My second idea is an all female ski movie and premiere. The director for our ski club reached out to me to come up with an idea to try and keep young girls in their sports. The number of girls dropping out of sports in general is dramatically increasing. We had a meeting about this at one of our ski events. And I know I feel most inspired by skiing other girls do things. So I had the idea to have an all women ski film with a premiere to create a community for women/girls to stay in their given sports. Currently I am already working on this project and I think it would be great because I already would have a mentor, The founder of "Rippin' Ladies" Shannon Moller. I really like helping people or giving my time to help other people, and off that I am usually super energetic around other people. The capstone idea that I have is being able to teach growth mindset in smaller snippets to scla classes and try to get other classes because not everyone has the chance to experience or learn about growth mindset and it has important values that can be carried out throughout life. I like to play tennis as well as make and play music. I've played piano and violin for a while, and have started to get into music production. I learn best with not too little guidance, but also not a lot. I would define myself as a mix between an introvert and an extravert, who likes liberal arts just as much as STEM. I play tennis at a local and national level (I'm not that good though), and play violin in Longmont Youth Symphony. I also work with the Innovation Center on AI stuff. I am mostly passionate about utilizing technology to do things that you couldn't otherwise do, more specifically computer programming. I am also very passionate about music, art, and film making. When I think about the results of the things I am doing or try to do it motivates me to complete it. I don't like to do things if I don't see a good reason for it. My possible capstone idea is to continue a service that my team at the Innovation Center is creating, which will expand on the Letters from Raptors program. It will use artificial intelligence to analyze the personality of both the senior and the student, and match them accordingly. I have multiple mentors in mind, but I am not sure which will be my final mentor. I think the best way I learn during school is writing everything down for example when doing assignments I like to write down my assignments. I feel like when I write down my assignments on paper with a pencil my mind comes up with all of the ideas that I have for the assignments. The thing with typing is it’s really hard for me to do with one hand which is why I get a lot more done when writing down my thoughts or answers to questions. I think a mix between a introvert and extrovert because somethings I can be very outgoing and open to what other things I’m more into myself and not be there. I’m really passionate about helping people whether an elder or a child I love to see the smiles on the faces after I help them. This is probably one of the most important reasons I joined SCLA is to help the people to serve them and be sincere about it. My capstone idea is going with Peter’s idea of sensory deficient people I think but if I could do a project that helps people should be happier that is what I wanted you for my capstone project that’s what I want to focus my time on doing this year for my capstone project I still don’t have a solid idea of what it might be but Peter‘s idea is one way that I could help the people.For this capstone project I still don’t know much about it which is why it doesn’t have very much detail once I learn more about Peter’s project I will be more detailed in my explanation.
