         <description><![CDATA[<div>The United States Supreme Court rules in favor of an LGBTQ magazine. The USPS and FBI declared the contents of the magazine to be obscene material, but the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the magazine, citing First Amendment rights. This landmark case (called One, inc. v. Olesen) was the first time the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of the LGBTQ community.</div>]]></description>

This resulted in 3 days of intense rioting, where the Police were notably hostile and aggressive to the protesters. This event sparked a turning point in the LGBTQ movement, with new protests and organizations being formed shortly after the Stonewall riots.</div>]]></description>
