This tweet paved the way for a future of technology and social media that enabled people to interact with others all around the world with the ease of a touch, and allowed for languages to overlap and for words to become universal thanks to one person saying it. The Vowel shift is the predominant reason as to why our spellings of words can seem so off as to how we would pronounce words.
