It makes the logo catch more attention while still retaining a simple design by looking more bold and it also shows off that it is a big name company metaphorically, boasting a great stature.

- There's a stroke that cuts into the words. It makes the logo look a little bit less bland while also giving a modern vibe to it. It is also symbolism of how ASUS provides "cutting edge" technology to people, which is a clever notion to give to people just from them looking at the logo without a catch phrase.
