It is a lot of screen time over a week. We still have a day to go. They were having a fabulous time playing games & texting and so on. I confiscated his phone on the spot (gone for a week now). I realise that you can't tell what they are doing if they turn off their video & microphone, but are you able to make a point of deliberately calling on the weaker students very frequently to make sure that they are paying attention? With only breaks for morning tea and lunch. No breaks between periods, its Far too much time to be on devices in my opinion. I think all the teachers are doing an amazing job in these uncertain times and haven’t skipped a beat since it all started. Just a little more movement would be nice. From what I have seen, you a doing a great job with your class Sharon and my child is coping well. He gets up and walks around from time to time during each class to get a drink or something to eat which is great, and at the same time listens to what you are saying and then completes the tasks. My kids are very much looking forward to returning to school though as they miss their classes and friends.
